  1. Fire Giants are a piece of cake. Even noobs can range them, average players can pro melee, more advanced players can Guthans them and us old timers can last with just a bunyip.
  2. Theres a familiar, Forge Regent I think (can't check from work), whos special fires at all enemies in multi. Do this and you dont need to lure. I see people using this at the mummies in the Chaos Tunnels. Whether it's for charms or just XP I dunno. I heard someone was using a similar tactic at waterfiends in the Chaos Tunnels but how they pro'd melee/range in those numbers I don't know, coulda been a lie as theres no safe spot.
  3. Slayer will make you money 9/10 tasks. You are probably just not killing monsters effectivley. I pray on Black Demons, Metal Dragons, Scarabites, Abby Spectres and Waterfiends and still profit in the long run, even with cannoning some tasks. Sure sometimes you will get a run of expensive tasks but the rewards are worth it in the end. Only last week I got a Sara Plate from a Treasure Trail so thats an instant 1.8mil which is 100% profit.
  4. I did the same thing and thought I was screwed. However there are a few way around it: Easiest Way Go chop yourself 5 willows. Go to spirit world. Voila instant dead willowy things. Quickly add to a pyre, dodge attack, light. Harder Way (I had to do this as I didn't realise the above way worked) If you exit the cave the beasts re-spawns when you re-enter. He has various spawn points but a few are easy to run straight North and chop a log before he gets to you. then just exit cave, and go back in and hope he has spawned in another good space.
  5. Salmon sells raw very easily to cheapskate cooks so isn't really junk. The javs and darts are fine, but in order to get 8m it will take a lot of time and effort and supplies which may not be worth the end result.
  6. Total rubbish. Prayer and construction are both more expensive to train than summoning. I have Construction as my TOG skill as it is serves no real purpose for me as I have all the items I will ever need. Prayer is usful at higher levels so I sometimes chuck a few mils at it. Back to summoning though it really isn't that expensive in the grand old scheme of things. Make sure you get 70% of your shards back and use a cheapy second. Can easily get 70 for a couple of mil.
  7. He would need to buy them. Rather ruining the point of junk trading. He would be better off selling at max GE price.
  8. Junk is only usful if you have it. If you have to buy/make it then it becomes more trouble than it's worth. 1. Buying junk - If you buy junk, then you're not making a penny. You may as well sell for GE price. 2. Making junk - You have to want to skill, have the ability to go through with whatever it is you decide to do and also have cash to invest. Even then in the time you've made your junk you could have earned more doing something else which doesn't produce junk. Basically junk is only useful for skillers to get free XP in otherwise expensive skills. For example smith a mith bar into an item and it sells for pretty much the same price as a mith bar, but no one buys. However in order for this to work the skiller would need an item he could sell the junk with, a stash of money for the mith bars, the time to make the items and want to train smithing. At the end of the day it is probably a lot easier to sell for GE Max price.
  9. Don't train on them, blues are a lot better XP and money wise. If you have them for slayer, kill the babies in the Chaos Tunnels.
  10. As a rule just make the best XP pouch for you level with a decent 2nd. You can pretty much always buy pouches on the GE. Bunyips I never have to wait for.
  11. What you need to understand is that if you buy an item for junk purposes then it isn't junk as you've spent that cash and got nothing for it. Therefore villager hats are a waste of time, you may as well just sell for the lower price and save yourself the time. The best junk is created as a by-product of skilling but the prices obviously vary. Maple Bows (u) for example won't sell in a million years but are worth a fair bit, and also net you valuable fletching XP. Same can be said for some smithable items, iron plates, etc. Mith wc axes are pretty good too I hear, as they use 1 bar and cost about the same as a mith bar. Basically you get "free" XP. The only trouble with this method is you need to invest the time and cash first. If you don't have the cash to begin with, or the time to spare, then it isn't worth it. If you don't have the junk, or the cash to make some via skilling then you may as well sell at the lower price.
  12. If you are not fussed about money chop willows with an Inferno Adze. This burns 50% of the logs so you are basically getting the XP of 42 logs per inventory plus some firemaking XP. You do need 92 firemaking though...
  13. Skelly Wyverns are hard work. You can safe spot them, but you need to wait til they go non-aggro and even then they suck. Iron drags are bearable with slayer helm and black drags are great now you can use the babies in the Chaos Tunnels.
  14. The issue is at your end not at Jagex's. You say you have ADSL and Broadband. They are basically the same thing just ADSL is a form of Broadband. That leads me to believe you don't know much about the more technical aspects of computing. If you connect via wireless (laptop's mainly) then the connection will be dodgy, it's a downside of wireless technology. If your connection is wired, i.e. you have a lead from your PC to the modem/router then your connection should be stable. If you are wired and having issues then you need to clear out the Java cache and delete all instances of Java from your PC. Then re-install the latest version of Java. This is probably a bit beyond your capabilities though and if you mess it up, you could mess up other aspects of your Internet so don't do it unless you are 100% sure of what you are doing. Get someone who knows what they are doing to help you out.
  15. Yews and buy a dragon axe. Or borrow one.
  16. 1. They are meant to replace PK'rs. However they can attack with all 3 styles and teleblock/freeze which was never possible. 2. They are not actually that strong. I've only died to one once and considering I only venture into the wilderness naked for TT's they can't be that strong. They will rarely be up close so just pray mage or range and run the other way. 3. Best drop is the dragon dagger from the high level ones but most drop junk. Not worth killing. Best advice is just to run away. They cannot keep up with a running player so unless they freeze you you are OK. Then just log out and change Worlds. Pretty much what you should have done against real PK'rs back in the day.
  17. I logged out once and when I got back I was at wave 1. Kinda put me off.
  18. 1. You won't need many for 60 in the grand old scheme of things. 2. I wouldn't use rock lobsters, Waterfiends are less expensive and Slayer gives you a nice balance of charms. 3. My method is make the best pouches I can within economical reason. For example at level 22 you should be making Spirit Tz-Kih's as these give the best XP. However the second is harder/more expensive to get than the level 19 Spirit Scorpion so the scorpion would get my vote. 4. Varies from hour to hour. Remember to get 70% your shards back to lower costs.
  19. I think you can still use Vengeance if you have a high level Lunar Mage friend.
  20. If it is XP you want then Duradel everytime. If you need slayer points for helm/rings then only use Duradel for the 10th tasks (10, 20, 30 etc.) and use the Canifis master for the rest. His tasks are quick and you can power through them to get Duradels huge bonus, plus Duradel assigns nasty tasks you will want points to ban. I think 500 is the maximum points you can get. I would get helm first then rings, banning tasks as you go. When you have spare points I'd get the broad bolts/arrows ability as it may be used in future content (quests/diaries) but make sure you leave 30 points free for a skip if need be. I have banned Warped Terrorbirds and Skelly Wyverns and will be banning Steel Dragons once I get them. All other tasks are bearable. The only reason I dislike steels is they are slow, and you tend to have to fight other players and iron dragons for the spawn. They were OK when they were in small tasks but these days they are not nice.
  21. It is damn near impossible to make profit with herblore unless you gather your own materials. Try camping at Chaos Druids with a stash of swamp tar and pestle & mortar. Most players drop harralanders so you can take them and make into harrlander tar as you go. Market is pretty good for this tar, it always sells within 12 hours. Sometimes its a loss, others a profit. You can kill others yourself to get more high level herbs.
  22. Some house owners will pay you for alching in their altar keeping the burners lit. You can also do this in your own altar and accept donations.
  23. I let people borrow mine for free if I'm using SS and vice-versa. Then one day if I need to borrow something I would hope I wouldn't get charged either.
