So if you're born into wealth, power, or any pleasant living situation, god is to be praised, but if you're born into poverty and struggle, god is NOT to blame? This is where things get murky. Some would agree with you, God is to be praised when you're wealthy, but it's not his fault when you're poor. If you ask me that's pretty ridiculous. Now, I do think it's perfectly fine to praise God if you lead a happy life. However, numerous quotes in the Bible show that your status in this world doesn't matter in the afterlife. God works more on you're life after death than your present status. The Beatitudes show this rather well.

As for my name, Warren is my first name. the 2 and 11 are for my birthday (November 2nd. Last weekend. Happy 15th to me : ). I wanted just Warren as my rs screenname but it was taken. I had the account "Warren" added to my friendlist for a while so that if he ever logged on I could beg for his account. He never logged on :( I really hate when people in rs call me war. My name is not derived from warfare, it is my name. Either call me Warren or Warren211. One kid even made a typo and called me Warner. I yelled at him "do I look like an animaniac to you?!?!". I made the mistake of telling some of the guys of this on Forsakenmage chat and whenever I go in the chat, someone usually says "Hi warner". It grinds my gears to no end. What's funny about my name is that everywhere I go in runescape someone comes up and says "Warren's my last name" or "Warren's my first name" or "Warren's my city name" "Warren's the street I live on". If you want to be an internet stalker, use Warren in your name ;)

I think there's a reason behind him deleting the blog. He wouldn't do that just to piss off a best friend. And if he did, he wouldn't go into reclusion over it unless he's very emotionally unstable. You ought to confront him, but not in an angry way. More like an inquiry. There might be a big reason behind it. Family member died, girlfriend broke up, etc and he wanted to vent it on something. That doesnt make his actions right, but you should get to the bottom of this.

Jagex uses copyright claims in a lot of videos with controversial runescape material. Like scamming, hacking, private servers, etc. If I'm not mistaken, the fally massacre video is long gone as well due to copyright claims. I'll have to look it up later. Anyway, next time credit Jagex and the songwriter. At the end of the video or in the video description. This particular case seems more like the music copyright more than Jagex.

I think we've established that a Facist democracy is impossible. But I think the OP is not really referring to democracy (people governing) so much as just giving them rights similar to that of the Constitution. In that case, it would only work if the Facist leader happened to not get too power-hungry. But that kind of person is quite hard to come by. To be put in command of a powerful nation where rebellion is easy for you to destroy, who wouldn't take advantage once in a while? You'd have to take a pretty big gamble to put someone in so much power and hope that they won't abuse it.

Dressing as just Jesus is ok, but it'as when you make satirical Bible references and religious jokes that it can get offending. And of course, when you go to school as Jesus, there's naturally going to be some Bible satire reaction. I'm a Christian and while I couldn't give a rat's [wagon] what they say about my God, I know there are others who will be offended and it's not really fair for them. I think it's pretty reasonable to ban such costumes, it would otherwise just start controversy when next year a Muhammad or Buddha costume gets to stay. At my school we had two Jesuses. Both were Juniors and had Bible jokes and Jesus jokes surrounding him. It was actually quite humorous because most of our school is Jewish and couldn't give a damn, but I know there are probably some kids who just mask their offense with humor because they don't want to ruin the party.

It wasn't just because it was negative. The poll was released very soon after farming was released. Really it only reflected the initial reactions of the players. And of course, players at that time were more concerned with it's immediate benefits then long term. It sounded like a stupid boring skill: plant seeds, water em, then wait. Sounded like the stupidest skill on the planet. People failed to realize how useful or easy it was to train: plant seeds, have the farmer watch them, go play castle wars. Not to mention the hard to get herbs could now be homemade. Plus, more updates were released as a partner to farming. Quests, etc. So farming was more than click and grow. But the players seeking immediate benefits didn't find any (there are very few useful things you coould grow under level 30) and so they voted negatively. I'm sure if the pole was retaken now, it wuld have much better results.

I went to a friend's house to trick or treat. His neighborhood is full of rich white families with massive houses and 3 door garages they don't use. Those people are loaded, they hand out the big candy bars instead of little packages. One lady gave out taffy apples. My neighborhood? The old ladies give us those mexican and japanese candies that no parent trusts, the families give out leftover candy from last halloween (My family is one of those families : ), and everyone else has their lights off because they hate children. I was so glad to go to my friend's house on Halloween. I scored so much yum.

I don't see how viewing emails will help anything. Anyone who is going to discuss sich a massive undertaking will certainly use some kind of code. As the nice example soemwhere above says, they're probably not going to flat out say "we're meeting under the bridge at 3 PM to assassinate the president. Bring a gun and a bomb. we are terrorists." What key words would be useful? Terrorist? They'll get all kinds of forewarded news stories about terrorists. Guns/weapons? Hah, I can think of dozens of subjects you can discuss involving guns, none of which include terrorism. Al-Quaida (sp)? Good luck finding an email about al-quaida that's NOT written by a member of the group.

It seems we all have different definitions of the word "ban" here. :-k From what I see, books can be banned in a few ways: 1) Public libraries 2) schools 3) Overly protective and/or conservative parents who are afraid a book written by an author with non-mainstream ideals will ruin their child's stance on politics early on and destroy their lives. And as someone else said, all the bannings will do is encourage interested readers and self-proclaimed rebels to read these books because there's something about the books that makes politicians (and soccer moms) nervous. Books like these are MEANT to give us an inside look on the ideals that were the norm back then but are now highly controversial. This thread is making me anxious to read Orwell because I've never heard of him. GF book ban.

I have to agree with this. If the ditch blocked arrows, we'd just have issues of hit and run meleers who attack mages and rangers and then jump over the ditch. The solution to cowardly rangers? Go deeper in the wild or outside of it so that he has to leave his precious ditch to attack you. And while they still can hit and run while you're chasing them from a distance, you just have to pull them out of their comfort zone.
