  1. Seriously... the only organized fansite I saw was PC, and they had barely anyone and got destroyed quickly. What happened to the other sites? RSC's place was varrock west, right? Well when I went there, there were FOUR people there in steel. I didn't even see them in the war. I mean... there are probably more accusations "tipit had cape switchers and the world was full" etc etc. Pretty good war nevertheless, I got a few loots (nothing good though...). I was surprised when I looted a total of 1000 different runes. Most seemed to be from PC and a few yellow capes. They were mostly airs and fires... I guess we had a few mages there and not just binders. But seriously, there was barely even a war. Just slaughter. The other sites barely put up a fight. And then there were those lowlifes in rune who decided to crash. Thankfully they forgot we could use rune weapons. I saw several of them getting owned. Next time we should make it a rule not to chase anyone too far. The reason so many people died was because they chased someone too far, ran out of energy, then a wandering pker in rune or crashing clan saw them and picked them off. The clans were successful at luring some of the more gullible or less experienced players down in single combat to take them 1 by 1 instead of facing us as a whole, next time we should make sure everyone understands that south is single combat. A lot of people were lured south, got owned by a powerful ranger, then yelled at their teammates for not helping.
  2. Well, the internet is basically an encyclopedia of everything from information to recreation to anything else you can find. If you can dream it, it's on the web. So the vast collection of knowledge is out there for those who aren't too busy looking at dirty pictures and killing n00bs. I wouldn't be surprised if it was found that the internet superfies your brain capacity. Rule 34 is so true... wait a second... the dude's MATH teacher told him about it? How on earth did they go from geometric figures or algebraic equations to...erm... that?
  3. Tried the test, got 17000 upload and 4000 for the other one. I don't know much about computers so this thread might as well be in Chinese to me. But looking at that chart, it seems the US is far behind. I'm the kind of stupid American who thinks America tops the charts in virtually everything. I always knew the Japanese were a bit ahead in technology, but having such fast internet for FREE? Insane.
  4. Paranoid: High Schizoid: Moderate Schizotypal: Moderate Antisocial: Moderate Borderline: Moderate Histrionic: High Narcissistic: High Avoidant: High Dependent: Moderate Obsessive-Compulsive: High So I'm high in Paranoia, hostrionic (whatever that is), narcissisism, avoidancy, and OC. Seems pretty reasonable to me. I'm a very paranoid and self centered person with odd habits.
  5. Meh, I'm thinking the items will be one of those "frozen items" because very few players will actually pay so much for an hour when they can pay extra for a permanent bandos item. You have to own hundreds of millions to use those items regularly.
  6. How on earth do you kill someone with a half decent loot when you've got d hide and a rune scim? The only way to have a good chance at killing someone with good loot is to wear good stuff yourself, which in turn makes you a good target for other players wearing good stuff. It's a nice system, really. You're saying you want the entire standard lowered, where every pker is running around in d hide with a scim. I think that's pretty ridiculous, why should the entire standard be lowered because some players don't want to risk their precious items? I get really annoyed at these 1/3/4 itemers. 3 and 4 aren't that bad because they will never skull on you, so you'd have to attack them to get in a fight. Anyone with a brain would realize it's stupid to attack a 3 itemer unless you feel like getting an easy kill. It's the 1 itemers who are annoying because they can and will skull. I wish protect items prayer was just gone, it's simply being abused by players who don't want to take any risks.
  7. The problem is that f2p warriors have always been overpowered. Mage robes and even the new ones from that minigame are pathetic in defence. Bind is no big use either unless you're in a clan where everyone else does the killing for you. And even then, you don't usually get a share of the loot. And as players level up, they only get stronger. Rangers hit very hard and often with 80+ range and the same with warriors. Mages? Their max hit doesn't go up, you might see a tiny increase in accuracy but not good enough unless you level 20 or 30 levels. Even then, their robes of little defence from attacks make them easy targets. The fact that warriors now get stronger weapons just means mages like me have more to fend off.
  8. This change is awesome. I was thinking how the war would fail if we had it at the red portal, how we'd get zombies etc. Pking servers would be much easier. Zombies have to go out of their way to return to the war and it will be obvious when someone is zombieing. This war should be fun now...
  9. Wow, I'm so glad I bought 1k swordies a few weeks back... haven't checked lately, but I'm fairly certain they're incredibly in demand and high priced now. : This update must be a merchant's heave. Seriously, anything you can name that was frequently used in pking like rune armor, mage robes, runes, rune and dragon weps, pots, and especially food... are seriously in demand. I'm deliberating whether to sell some of my swordies now, wait till later, or use em for my own pking.
  10. OH MY GOD!!!!! Corrupted dragon for f2p???? I thought this day would never come!!! This update will probably take me out of retirement. I've always waited for good pvp to come back. How much are these things worth? And can f2p use the special attacks that come with the weapons? If it does, I'ma get me 20 corrupted daggers and finally have a finishing move in f2p. Thank God I sold all my members stuff before I quit. I now have 42m to spend on whatever the hell I need for pking. I'm so excited :ohnoes: And wildy pking is back... woot woot! The wild is dangerous again besides revs! Wait... if we can pk in the wild, do we really need revs anymore?
  11. I suggest we all stop the flaming and namecalling before a mod comes in with the banhammer. Anyway, when I read the update for PvP worlds, my heart swelled with excitement. Then I read that skulling returned, and I facepalmed and practically fell off the chair. The same thing will happen over and over, the argument over skulling because neither player wants to risk it. Is teleblock a f2p spell? I doubt it, but it would have been incredibly useful. As it is, it's hard to kill players in f2p because the only finisher you have is a r2h, and that still isn't the ultimate combat end-all. It's very easy for someone to endure a fight long enough to run to safety even if it's miles away, or just teleport away. Hell, I've outmaunevered massive clans in the red portal before simply because with a couple prayers turned on and a lot of lobs, their hits weren't enough to take me out. I'm hoping that, if it's not a f2p spell, that jagex will consider it.
  12. I know. That was just the first thought I got reading the title. : By the way, two of my friends celebrate their birthday today too.
  13. Whjen I read the title I thought you were celebrating the anniversary of internet trolling... Happy b-day anyway. :)
  14. Choose one that is closest to the language you're studying at school. Greece is pretty cool, but you'd probably have an advantage if you already know some of another language. I've been invited to those things before. About 6 different ones, but my mom wouldn't let me go on any (I got them starting at age 11 and up till this year at almost 15). Would've been pretty good on a college resume that I studied in several countries... it's an amazing opportunity and I wish I took advantage.
  15. Everyone seems to think that by 15-17 a teen hasn't matured yet. Sure, puberty isn't over and they still have their whole life ahead of them. Does that mean that they can't tell the difference between right and wrong? That they do unspeakable acts because they don't know better? Yes, teens can be impulsive. But if you ask me acting on instinct or first thoughts doesn't mean you're immune from the consequences. If you ask me, a teen who murders someone because he's angry at his girlfriend who broke up with him is the same thing as a 25 year old who committed the same crime. Age barely plays a role. Whether you're 17 or 32, the events don't become much easier to handle. It's ridiculous to say a teen can't control himself from killing someone over something like a lost girlfriend. And I'm sure a lot of people's views here would change if they had more personal experience. If someone you loved was killed or raped by a teenager who was upset because he lost his girlfriend or some other issue, the last thing you're going to be concerned about is his wellbeing.
  16. I have to agree, the only way to find out is to wait till we die and see if the afterlife is true. At Rebdragon:  I believe in an afterlife, I won't force my beliefs on anyone, but human's natural curiosity dictates that we have to be made for a reason, even if such a reason doesn't exist. Our curiosity inspires these "reasons" not anything else.
  17. What makes Oct 14-17 so special? Am I missing something? Anyway, the thread owner seems to want this thread to be strictly on these dates. I can tell you now, it will not happen. There is very limited discussion for the three day event, and the thread would die quickly if it simply ended on the 18th with "nothing happened. End of discussion". You should be glad you're thread is successful, usually threads like this end in stupid youtube clips and back and forth "aliens are fake. No, they're real. no, they're fake". Ans as others have said, I have to agree that the sheer number of bodies in the universe just makes it practically impossible that none of them can support life. And who knows, they're not necessarily carbon and oxygen based like we are. Maybe somewhere there are creatures based mainly on.. oh I don't know... lead? Sulfur? I'm no science expert, but it still seems impractical that so many planets are out there and none can support life, even if they don't follow the same parts of living things as we do. There was some movie where aliens invaded that were nitrogen based. Was pretty cool.
  18. A fun thing to do, but sounds better as a hobby then a profession. I'm sure many people enjoy it in their spare time, researching and recording, but unless you find something revolutionary, you can't make a living out of it. And there will still be skeptics preventing your discovery from being accepted as the newest animal easily. And if it turns out to be a false alarm, you will live the rest of your life in shame... Might as well add to the suspected animals list. [hide=Weird Russian animals]Russian crocodile-log-eel-whale-shark thing. The above site did a good job of saying that it's probably a badly decayed beluga whale. Prehistoric thing from a ditch in Russia Probably one of those trioph things you can buy a kit for and grow your own, although ones this size are unheard of... Shark with eyeballs that moans like a human This weirded me out, but is probably just a mutated shark. But.. the sailors ATE it? "Hey, there's a weird creature we found. It sounds like a human and looks all alien-like." "Well, what does it taste like?" :wall:[/hide] Russia seems like the place for these kinds of things. Most of these things are fascinating for the internet, but are really just badly decayed creatures or obscured deformed things.
  19. *exasperated sigh* everytime someone posts something borderline innapropriate, everyone is determined to prove them wrong. I don't know if it's jealousy where everyone is ticked that he got to do it or just flat out "you sir, are an idiot". Either way, it get's annoying. One borderline post is bad enough, it doesn't help when 5 people start a quote chain because they don't want to see this guy get any pats on the back or just go bat[cabbage] insane at the thought of doing it in a chapel. Move on with your lives, guys :wall: . Might as well contribute to the thread while I'm here. I had wrote a stupid, innapropriate story to amuse some of my friends back in 7th grade. Unfortunatly the teacher had seen them looking at the paper and laughing their [wagon] off and demanded to see it. She read through it at her desk, we were staring at her to see if I would get in trouble, and in the end she crumpled it up and tossed it back at me. Relief flooded me, but of course that was the last time I wrote any stupid stories for class.
  20. Normal suicide is stupidity and selfishness to the highest degree (unless you have a mental illness beyond your control). Anyone who kills themself because of financial or family problems clearly hasn't thought everything through. Their family will not be "oh alright, I'll understand" when they have to wipe your blood from the carpet or take down your body from the rope tied to the ceiling. Euthanasia is way different. When it's for a good reason like a terminal illness, then it seems to be fine to me. A human should always have the choice to rely on machines to stay alive or die peacefully. But when they actually kill themselves (Kevorkian style, or just suicide) when it's not necessary, then there's a problem. I don't know what to make of Alzhiemer's and whether it's good to use euthanasia or not. I haven't experienced it, no one I know experienced it (God forbid) so it would be unfair for me to flat out say "you should suffer; it's good for the soul".
  21. Me and a friend secretly make fun of our incredibly obese biology teacher. You know how the ecosystem has producers, consumers, and decomposers? She's all three. :-#
  22. I think having the entire event in one world is a rather bad idea. It never worked out in war 2 or 3, the server just got full and kept half the participants from attending. Players had to come one or two hours early to make it in the event. I think having different wars in different servers would be a better idea, I mean, cramming 4 or 5 major fansites in one world is tough. As usual, the losers will call the war unfair because half their teammates couldn't log in. And as stated before, clan wars might be a better idea instead of the portal. Let's face it, there will be people zombieing. Nothing will stop that, and many players will find their deaths unfair or will be killed by a zombie and thus think it's only right to zombie in return. Before you know it, the entire portal will be filled with players with just a scimmy who lost everything else and think it's fair for them to continue fighting.
  23. Let's talk about the whole donation thing. I'm Catholic and while donations are always preferred (after all, very little mandatory money comes through besides a small sum from catholic schools), they're not always required. Most churches will require you to donate something, after all, it's not very fair that you come for free, take advatage of church celebrations, and don't give anything to the church in return. My family has forgotten to bring money to church before, no one gives those glaring "how dare you?!" looks when you don't put money, the ushers just move on to the next person. Anyone who makes a big deal out of someone who doesn't donate to one mass is an idiot, there are hundreds of reasons why it occured. And it's not like scientology where you have to donate in order to find the truth about your faith. You can come to mass without donating every time, and you don't have to fork over massive sums of cash when you do. There are huge rifts between christianity and scientology, I can't believe anyone is suggesting a mass collection basket is similar to selling DVD's about the secrets of lord Xenu and Hubbard.

Yeah Lenin, you can also spell "Osama" by folding a 20 properly. It's pretty stupid, it's just a coincidence that the order of letters happens to be O-S-A-M-A (or is it... :P )
  25. I got a 10. Somewhat accurate. I don't think thts test is as accurate as other ones. Obviously if you answer positively to every question you'll get a good rating and it's probably accurate. If you answer very negatively to every question you'll get a very bad rating. These two situations seem to be the only accurate results -- you're either really happy or really depressed. All other results in the middle are not necessarily accurate. In fact, most online tests are far from accurate, they're mostly just for fun.
