If attempted murder was abolished, then assassins would have nothing to lose. You can shoot the president, but if you miss and get caught, they can't hold much against you unless you violate some gun policies and you probably won't get decades in prison for it. For that matter, every murder would have nothing to lose. If you fail in your murder then the most you can get charged with is perhaps gun possession issues, breaking and entering (unless your a sniper, then you don't have to even enter the house or area of your victim), and maybe assault if you actually injure the person. But even with the chance of a long sentence for an assault charge, there's still going to be plenty of failed murderers who can walk home free because they were stupid with their rifle and didn't do any damage to the person. What's funny is that you can possibly be given prison time if you attack or kill the guy who breaks into your house. The system seems to be more concerned with the wellbeing of the criminal rather than the wellbeing of the victim. If someone breaks into my house, I'm not going to wait to see if he had a threatening weapon that could justify me beating the [cabbage] out of him if I still have the element of surprise on my side.

As someone else said, the amount of people you could PM should be related to your post count. It's bad enough we have players floating around sending scam site links to unsuspecting players that gives them a keylogger. Giving them the ability to send it to dozens of people at once... we should probably restrict it from Chicken feathers entirely.

I'm in the US and I don't go to Aussie worlds because I lag quite a bit. I think its more my computer than the connection. The only time I'd ever go on them is when I'm looking for an empty world for training or skilling or something where I can deal with some of the lag.

I got a couple friend invites from some new aspiring musicians who wanted supporters to get big on the internet. I promptly deleted them. Yeah, I'm a heartless bastard.

Taxing? Honestly, how easy will it be to simply add taxes to prostitution? It's already an underground business, adding taxes will simply promote it to still be done behind the backs of cops. Either way it works, we still having the police force and government going out of their way to regulate it. Either have cops scouting the streets to arrest the people involved or have our taxes go to helping educate the prostitutes and help control STD's and make sure the business is properly taxed. So we really will probably not profit off those taxes. Either way, whatever the governments decide to do will take tremendous effort on everyone's part.

I'm an electron and I'm naturally attracted to what's inside you. ;)

I have quite a bit of lag in HD so I play low detail. I'm nonstop pking, so being lag-free is crucial. Fullscreen might be useful for a pker so I can see lots of things with ease, so I might consider doing it sometime.

Although I do think there are way better charities then one like the IWF, I still don't see anything wrong with it. I mean, if they amass several million dollars and give it to such a foundation that doesn't need so much then I can understand the stupidity. But really with the novels at around 300 pounds each, any charity could use the sum. Millions go to other charities where little progress is made, so I don't see where the harm is at throwing a little sum at a group that can do something.

This might work best with one of those ecologically concerned gals. I know the best way to save water. Shower with me.

I'm not good with economics, although I definitely believe we should do all we can to keep the companies from going under. All 3 companies own more than just one brand of car. If they crash, the entire western motor industry goes to the dogs, not to mention hundreds of thousands of jobs probably lost.

I think is meant to be illustrating the power of books, not how to keep them. Seems to defeat the purpose if you illustrate the "power of books" in something that's meant to keep them.

There's no way we can generalize all mods the same way. Ther are some who abuse their powers, some who rarely use them and use the crown more as a status symbol than a tool to keep Runescape clean, and some who work hard with their job and prove themselves worthy of it. Problem is, there are plenty of players who will worship them and act like wannabes which gives p mods overall a bad name. Then there are a few of them who do abuse their powers and may misinform or emotionally harm a player early in their runescape career, scar them for life, and cause the player to have a vendetta against all p mods in general. And while I do think Jagex should try their best to select mods more thoroughly, you seriously can't expect every player mod to have undergone a thorough search and not change after they're rewarded a crown. Jagex has a lot to deal with at HQ, having to do a complete search at a player's history to mod them seems to be a waste of manpower they could have easily used to ban or mute dozens of players themselves. Thoroughly searching players before modding them, though it sounds like a good idea, seems to defeat the purpose of giving them modship.

As much as I dislike using this, I think I must for this post: +1. You really nailed it, dude. Every time my parents and I are in a car, there's a 10-minute argument over whether we should play B96 (Chicago's Hits and Hip Hop) or some oldies station my dad likes. I live in Illinois where the price is insanely high. I'm not sure what the exact price is, but I know my dad's friend who is a smoker goes to Indiana to buy those big-[wagon] sets of packs that are about 30 bucks cheaper. So raising taxes really high might just work as magekillr said.

I dearly wish Nancy Grace would just die in the most unpleasant way imagineable. Her feminist attitudes are just too much for me to stand watching her show. Watch her show a few times, not only will you learn her ideals as to women and children (every case she discusses is about a missing wife or daughter. And she's always stressing "remember, this is a HOUSE WIFE we're dealing with. Please comment on my site." As if you should work any harder to find a missing woman than a man) but you'll also see how she treats different guest speakers. She's always cutting off male guests when they disagree, and although she does it occasionally to women its not as often or as brutal. I really hate her guts.

Does anyone know if popping zits is a good way to get rid of them? I don't mean the usual teenage thumb-and-index-finger technique thats just loaded with bacteria and only pushes some of the puss deeper. I mean taking a sterelized needle, piercing a tiny hole, then using tweezers to squeeze the SIDES so that everything comes out and nothing gets shoved in deeper. I saw that on a website. I tried it, it seems to be working. You have to make sure you do it hygenically and don't make the hole too big or you'll get a scar. I've tried it and I think it does work. But I want to know if there's any long term side effects (like all the leftover puss coming together and forming a tumor sized zit on your nose when you're 40 years old :ohnoes: )
