  1. Ugh, I hate these kinds of threads. The americans will vote football and the Europeans will vote Rubgy, then an immature loser brings in some stupid point in the debate and a flame war begins. What's so bad about calling it football, just because the feet aren't used much? I hate how everyone makes fun of that. It's the stupidest thing in the world to stereotype an American by. And what's wrong with padding? Just because it reduces injury, it becomes a sissy sport? I'm American. I hate both sports, to be honest. Basketball for me.
  2. So is mine. :) Mine too. Our school was pressured to change our logo because it was really similar to the logo of the Minnesota Vikings.

It took me 2 minutes to figure out what your avatar was, JRD. Anyway, I've never actually said "lol" in real life although I've come close several times. I can see how easy it is to slip, the word LOL seems to be the first thing to come up when you register that something is funny. I've heard someone say the word lol means fun in Dutch. That'd be pretty interesting. Someone tells you a joke and you respond with "fun".
  4. Hundreds of thousands of other high-schoolers are in the same situation as you are. If they all turned to cigarettes for answers, it could be really problematic. Frankly I can only see cigarettes adding to your problem. Not just the health hazards, but the mere fact that you'll be spending a lot of extra cash a week on cigarettes. And being a high school student with a not exactly CEO paying job, and having college to worry about, the last thing you need is to burn off spare cash on cigarettes.

Grrrr.... I knew from the start something like this would happen. After I found out ti was real and what it had the capabilities to do, my first thought was "there's gonna be some glitch that delays or terminates it". It seems like these things that are too good to be true are actually too good to be true. Monsters of the world, creation of the universe... the evidence is never conclusive enough, and investigations are always delayed. This sucks, I wanted to see what would happen. Mark my words, something will happen in the next restart of the LHC and will delay it even further.
  6. The part of the gun law we're interested in, there's some other unrelated stuff too. Dammit, America needs those laws too. The law seems perfect in Finland (shootings will always happen, but at least guns won't end up in the wrong hands as often). Anyone can get a gun saying it's for self defence. Yet of course you can actually be tried for murder of you kill a robber who didn't attack you, depending on the situation. It's ridiculous. As for the shooting, I just heard the shooter died. Bull [cabbage]. The kid makes national news and gets to escape punishment. I hate how all these school shooters get away with it. And it just makes models for other shooters. Try to beat the high score for kills, then take your life and go down in the history books without any punishment. I was really hoping this guy was going to live. I wanted him to feel the mental anguish of being in a confined room for the rest of his life.
  7. Where's the USMC logo at? Since I can't get in DB1, I might try helping that logo instead, or try holding up both. For some reason my ink is going up on DB1 but it won't let me draw...
  8. The shooter's alive? Good. It's about time the cowardly shooters survived their attacks. I'm tired of hearing they killed themselves to avoid punishment and going insane in prison. We should make an example out of him. I hope he makes a full recovery and then loses his mind while in prison for life. These shooters are cowards.
  9. What exactly do we do to get access to DB1? Just draw a nice image on DB2 until a mod shows up and lets you come in?
  10. Only in America. Oh wait... Sorry for sounding like an [wagon], but I needed to say that. I'm tired of hearing it every time a major incident occurs in the US. Anyway, it's still quite surprising that such few shootings occur with such a high gun ownership (or at least, such a few massive internationally published ones). I still sympathize for Finland, they won my respect after I learned about the Winter War.

I was thinking gravity (it "lays a man low") although I have no idea why a poet would want gravity :-k
  12. Wait... Toonami was still going? i thought it died like 2 years ago or something. Anyway, I haven't watched cartoon network for a while now. It used to be the living definition of awesome television, but now it's pathetic. Seriously, CN shows have now got the most disgusting and stupid plots ever imagined on children's television.

Zomg it's here?!?!??!1 Reserved it at library as soon as I read this thread. I'm on a waiting list of 44 people :wall:

What the hell IS that smiley anyway? Is it just a happy face? Or a pervert smile? Or just a random meme that no one really knows much about but posts it anyways? Some memes like Rick Roll are pure awesome, but the smiley is just fail. Mudkips was okay, but some losers abused it until the phrase "I heard you like mudkips" simply lead to a bunch of other losers googling and posting images of mudkips on /b/ on whatever mudkips thread there was.

Hmm... the first thing that came to my head was money, although it doesn't fully make sense with the riddle... A tongue fits most of the lines, but doesn't make sense with what a pen dictates.
  16. Rebdragon, I too used to be a yugioh player. And after rereading the OP I have to agree with you, this seems way too close to yugioh for any major card company to take seriously enough to market. If you're lucky you'll get a local pharmacy or dollar store to sell some of your cards, and maybe have your friends buy a couple really cool looking ones for a buck.
  17. So because I choose to put my belief in the findings of science rather than the never ending contradictions and far fetched stories of Catholicism I shall be murdered for it? Genocide, nice :| Ugh, another statement based more on bias than fact. Sure, the Church has neglected the teachings of science in the past. Well, once it was proved, we accepted it. Something wrong there? The Catholic church will NEVER permanently and blatantly deny the teachings of science. If it's proven, who are we to deny it? Catholics are not idiots. If one scientist claims something that says that hundreds of thousands of people are wrong (like the earth revolving around the sun) of course he will be met with skepticism and criticism. But once it's proven, why would we be stupid enough to deny it? Before you make blatant accusations of self-contradiction and denial of science, elaborate a bit, will you?

Hmm... Helium leak huh? I can already imagine all those scientists at CERN speaking to eachother in the really high pitched squeaky helium voice "The Large Hadron Collider has had a leak! To the bridge!"
  19. What the hell? Another TCG thread? It's a freaking yugioh revolution here :| Oh well. Good luck with your game anyway :

Something tells me this riddle has a perverted answer. I can think of one word that fits every line perfectly, but it's innapropriate :-#
  21. When I read the title I was thinking "oh jeex. stupid 10 year olds again?" then I saw that the men were 20 and 18...
  22. Yeah, I'm really annoyed at the fact that so amny of my former teachers banned wikipedia and barely knew what the site was. They only heard from other teachers keywords like "anyone can edit". I lectured my teacher in class about how the editing system is not simply "post whatever the hell you want" and how thet have admins and trackers and the fact that some articles have editing restrictions. He was dumbfounded, but still firm on banning wiki because teacher gossip says wiki is the spawn of the devil :| Still, I think it should be "You can use wiki, but at your own risk" kind of thing. Give the smart searchers a break. Why sift through 3 google pages when you get everything on one wiki page? Just because some stupid students will copy "Russia is gay" on their assignments? Really, the average student is smart enough to know what is probably factual information and what is stupidity. If you're a vandal, you probably won't edit tiny details like changing a death count in a war by a few thousand or messing a few dates. You either go for serious vandalism for some lulz or nothin.
  23. Hmm... I'm not Canadian, but I am interested in the marijuana party. I can imagine, if there was a political party rallying for each controversial law to be removed in the US... damn, we'd have a lot of such parties. And I'm sure the other candidates are having the time of their lives calling the marijuana party candidate a drug addict, pot-smoking loser, etc...

Cleaned house, had barbecue with family, went on runescape for once after a month to check out clan wars, watched TV. Yeah, my weekends are almost always this boring.

Couldn't this riddle technuically go under the jokes thread in the games forum? Oh well. Anyway, googling the riddle doesn't seem to work (yeah, I'm a cheapo). Trying to find what the lines have in common, I'm thinking the answer is... a girl?
