My bad. I'm ignorant and stupid. :wall:
  2. Hey Shadow, if you're here, do you still have that collections of the transformer guy, the Muslims, and the other people all facepalming? That was the funniest reply I've ever seen.
  3. For the record, the Funny Pics thread has been revived. Its on the front page of OT : http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=758799&st=0&sk=t&sd=a And Cadbury, I guess you're right. I did feel a little left out on the favorite tipiter thread. Then someone mentioned my name and I felt overjoyed, but found out later he wrote the wrong person and meant to say warri0r. It killed me :(

Anyone besides me noticed the title says MyScape instead of MySpace? :ugeek: Hey, I giggled at it.
  5. I'm the kind of impatient person who hangs up after waiting 10 minutes. So I've never experienced very long waits.

One of my teachers knows how to use Myspace properly and she uses it to find more about her student's side they show outside of school. Very useful to get to know your students. One of my friends made a rant about the teacher on his myspace and she found it out and he got owned for it. The same teacher also runs a water skiing company in the summer and looks up names of people she is ready to hire. She told us that she does it because if she finds out a potential employee is an underage drinker or some crazy sadistic person she's not going to trust him with an expensive boat. Sounds pretty reasonable. I don't have a myspace or anything like that. Never will have em. Waste of time if you ask me.
  7. Heh, some of the logo is actually still there : I haven't used Drawball yet and I'm somehow 19.9% ink. I guess my ip is registered for ink now since I visited before. Guess I should save up my ink to 100% and we can go for round 2 in a few months when /b/ calms down.
  8. For summer I read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night time by Mark Haddon. It was for a required book report for school. The main character has autism and tries to solve a murder of his neighbors dog Wellington, when he uncovers a secret about his supposedly dead mother and the scandals in his parents relationship that turn the whole novel upside down. Its a very fascinating book. I'm usually not interested on books on mental illnesses. I read Flowers for Algernon (the main character is [developmentally delayed]ed), didn't like it very much. This book, however, is a fantastic read.
  9. God, I feel horrible now... I've ignored this thread for a while now. Didn't really care much about the whole drawball thing. Computer kept freezing on the site so I didn't bother. Yesterday I checked the site just to see what was going on, and it seemed like the logo was going. I tild myself I'd join the effort the next day and support tif. Now I log on today, and we actually got the attention of 4chan and the logo is destroyed. If only I had helped... wouldn't have been much, but it's better than nothing. Now I feel bad that I missed everything... Good job guys, keeping it up for 3 months or so. Let the /b/tards think they control the internet because they "destroyed Rune tips". All it's done is brought us more attention. [wagon]es. :wall: . Again, way to go guys. I wish I'd decided earlier to be part of the fun. We should try it again in a couple months when /b/ calms down. And as someone else said, can we make this thread invisible to non-registered users? I heard this topic was actually linked on 4chan. The last thing we need is wannabe terrorists who think they're overlords for killing our logo infiltrating our site. Anyways, the fact that we got so much attention on the intrawebs is still pretty cool. GJ guys
  10. Nancy Grace. Don't forget the entire channel of Cartoon Network. It's nothing like it was in the 90s, or even 5 years ago for that matter. And of course those paid programming shows that air in the mornings with some middle aged white man with some new vacuum or cleaning product that he claims is a revolution. He puts the product through random and pointless tests to prove that it is the best, while a young or middle aged white woman (who claims to be the host of the show and interviewing this product manager but is really an executive for the product) looks in awe as though this product is the risen Jesus Christ and emphasizes at how amazing this product is.
  11. That's what I believe. I don't know who the idiot was 100 years ago that said popping pimples gives giant scars streaking over your face #-o . I pop zits all the time, you just have to do it responsibly. The usual "use two fingers and pinch that zit" thing just pushes some of the puss in deeper, whole some comes out. You have to make an incision with a sterelized needle (although I never sterilize mine) and squeeze out all sides, not the tip. I've seen horrifying faces by irresponsible poppers. And make sure to keep your fingers and face clean.
  12. Just because your family is successful and has lots of spending money doesn't make you a brat. Labeling people, gah. Though I don't think you need to spend over 10k just to enjoy a party, I mean it's nice but I myself would rather just have friends over or maybe go bowling and have some pizza. I think he's referring to how spoiled the kids in the show act. Watch one episode, I dare you. The show thrives off the kid acting like a spoiled 5 year old, demanding their parents and everyone who's organizing go out of their way to make everything perfect, and throwing a tantrum if it's not. If a rich kid has a nice party, acts responsible, and in the end the night is filled with wonderful memories and no huge incidents, by all means, throw a 10 grand party. But for the Super Sweet 16 kids... heh, they're a different story.
  13. I don't see the connection between lowering the drinking age and creating more responsible drinkers. People will just take advantage of the fact that they no longer need to hide the beer. If you've got people breaking the law drinking earlier and irresponsibly, how does changing the law to cater to them somehow make them more responsible? As for the whole "you can serve in the army but you can't drink a beer" thing... That philosophy worked when they tried to lower the voting age to 18 in our country, but I don't see how politicians will look at this issue. There is no need for beer in the world at all, and if I could have my way I'd ban it everywhere. It causes nothing but problems, and even if you drink responsibly I don't see how it helps you in any way besides making you a little happier. And the whole "I drink to calm myself down and feel better" is simply leading to more alcoholics. I don't see why 18 year olds need beer in their lives, or why they can't wait till 21. Lets face it. Lowered age only means more deaths. There's no way you can avoid it, no matter how much you teach people to be more responsible, more people, will still die then there already are in drunk driving incidents.

I've been working out a bit, doing crunches and the excersize bike thing in my house. I should probably be doing a lot more, but so far I've lost 5 1/2 pounds in 2 weeks or so, which is pretty good for me. I'm not overweight, but I could do with losing the little bit of belly fat I have around me. At the same time, I need to gain weight in muscle. I've been doing crunches, reverse crunches, and obliques to help get those abs I've always wanted, but I still need to work on my arms and legs.

Disney and other amusement parks seem to be convinced that 4-D is like a 3-D movie except you can smell and feel things liker water spraying and stuff... I'm having trouble understanding dementions beyond 3rd, although the teserract looks freaking awesome.
  16. Grr, I hate the fact that I camt to OT after all the good stuff, like the Paperclip era and all the crazy threads from way back when. I even heard of a thread with something about "you're stranded on an island with 5 tipiters. Who would you kill, befriend, sleep with, etc..." those kinds of threads sound like so much fun. Someone has got to make something like that again.

I'd think flying was cool, but I'm afraid of heights, I'd get nervous when I'm controlling something as powerful as a plane, and I'm too poor to get lessons
  18. Sweet sixteens are pointless if you ask me. Sure, have a party, invite some friends, eat some pizza, do a little dancing. Spending thousands of dollars on the perfect celebration, hire your favorite band to play, and set your budget at more than you can count? Only if you're a celebrity -.- . I'm a guy, 14, and don't plan on doing anything special for sweet sixteen besides maybe a party with some friends with pizza, soda, and my Nintendo Wii. The fact that a family can actually hand their kid 5 grand towards whatever party they can put together... are you teaching your kid to spend wisely or party all night long and worry about the consequences later? I suppose if you're on one of those MTV shows where they give you all the money you need for the party that's different. But I hate those shows, they basically give you money to act like a spoiled [bleep] to your parents and anyone you'd otherwise normally treat with the utmost respect. Its shameful how much a person can change with a multi-thousand dollar party budget.
  19. I'm not sure about the company but I'm pretty sure most of the businesses are not endorsed by the government. They're companies that sell collective coins with the twin towers or some other picture on them. One company is selling a silver 20-dollar bill with pictures of 9/11 on it. Most of the companies say their items are made of silver recovered from ground zero. But I'm pretty sure none of this money is going anywhere to the recovery, seeing as there's not much recovering left to be done. I think these things are wrong to have around. If I'm not mistaken, the companeis just buy off the silver from ground zero and make it into currency and sell it. The fact that you can turn a national tragedy into a lucrative business is shameful.

I'm too young to pay taxes for now, so feel free to skip my views if you think they're innacurate. Nearby where I live in Chicago, sales taxes are highest in the nation, at 10.25%. By comparison, other cities nearby are at 7.25%. Even the biggest cities in the country are slightly lower. Shoppers everywhere in my area are shopping in suburbs or even in the neighboring state of Indiana where taxes can be quite a bit cheaper. I'm hoping this high amount of extra cash goes to good use, particularly gun violence in Chicago. My parents don't seem to be affected by rising costs and taxes in anything, our lifestyle has barely changed in the last few years despite higher prices and higher taxes. So I guess I might be biased, seeing as how I've never experienced struggling to pay taxes on a regular basis, but I think as long as taxes are kept at a bearable level, it's fine. I don't think we need any more taxes raised. We should work more on putting every cent to good use, seeing as Illinois is having trouble with budget planning, and having the highest deficit in the nation for the past few years. We really need to watch our spending and put it to proper use.

I'm not too active in politics, so I'm not going to say too much here because I know there are a dozen people here who are eager to devour whatever I say and prove that I don't know enough. :| Palin seems like an OK choice, but last time I checked McCain barely knew her. Although one could argue that Obama and Biden weren't exactly best friends either... But one thing I could speak on is the whole racial equality thing in the above post or two. I live near some of those violent cities. Chicago suburbs, specifically. Every day a kid dies because of gun violence, or "mistaken identity". The communities are doing anything but the "why strive to succeed?" mentality. There's a group in a Chicago suburb that holds protests that encourage gun bans every time a shooting occurs. Friends, families, entire schools, even entire communities are shown gathered to mourn a dead child, followed by some of the victim's relatives making fantastic speeches on why guns need to be banned. It's the government's mentality I don't like. Governor Blagojevich offered Mayor Daley of Chicago thousands of state troops to assist Chicago suburbs, and the mayor actually took his time to decide. First, more cops doesn't always solve the problem, and the fact that you have to think about it when kids are dying by the day is shameful. Obama promised in one of his speeches to make sure Chicago and it's suburbs the aid it needed to clean up. If this is true and he really plans to do it, I'd admire him forever. I hate the fact that when I stand at the street corner waiting for the school bus, I never know what's going to happen when a car drives by. I live in a cleaner suburb, not much happens here. That doesn't mean we're safe. Anyone who votes for Obama because he's black is a fool. I'm just hoping that if Chicagoans support him, he'll help us in return. Sorry if I'm rambling a bit off topic here, but I do feel strongly about the need for more restrictions on guns, and that's one thing that Obama promises. Whether he'll live up to it, who knows. If he doesn't give a remote try, he'd better not set foot in Chicago again.
  22. I lol'd at the BFF Jill one. I feel really bad for myself that I get it... And just to satisfy you people, I'll stop posting motifakes and use hide tags. Even though I usually post one or two images at a time :| [hide=image][/hide]

How do you people stomach some of these things? I tend to get sick after finishing one Big Mac or a chocolate bar, and you guys are eating entire cakes and bottles of coke and... entire punch bowls? And seriously, a 2 minute pee??? Dear god, it hurts me after I pee for longer then normal, which is about 20 seconds. How the hell... you'd have like... permant burn scars in there or something  I remember when my friend had 6 Red Bulls in a row. He claimed his pee turned green and burned like hell. I also found out the hard way that drinking an entire Monster slurpee turns your #2 green as well... We had an interesting discussion on binging on energy drinks in my health class. Never had an energy drink since then.
  24. I can't wait for 2012 to be over, to shut the doomsayers up and see what apocalypse they'll concoct next. There's always going to be some kind of "newly discovered evidence" that the National Enquirer says will prove the world will end.
  25. I hate science. So I won't be getting into these philosophical debates we got going on in this thread. But I will ask (because curiousity and stupidity is a dangerous combo) if you're traveling faster than light and turn on a flashlight in front of you, what happens? And sonerohi, I remember that thread. Had something to do with Neutrinos and 10 dementions or something.
