recover mithril grapple?
Do you lose a mithril grapple used on a grapple Agility shortcut, or do you recover it, unless it's broken? I haven't had a chance to test it and would like to know before I try out these shortcuts.

English vs American - You say tomato and I say tomaeto...
Look again at my post-- and this is clean #2. This shouldn't be too much a problem as long as the subject remains on dialect differences, or the irony in the 'you talk funny', because everyone knows, everyone *else* (from out of the area) talks funny, but... Please refrain from insults.

English vs American - You say tomato and I say tomaeto...
Topic has been cleaned. Sunli and I discussed this split, so I know that she has attempted to continue a thoughtful debate when we could have just eliminated it as so much spam. The lyrics to 'Let's Call The Whole Thing Off' were referenced in our discussion, and that is the basis for the 'you say tomato, I say tomatoe' in the title. See http://www.infectiouslyrics.com/index.php?p=home&id=000000004618 for the lyrics. First of all, English varies widely by dialect. Go from one coast to the other, North to South, in the U.S. and you will find that Americans will use different words for the same thing. For example, carbonated soft drinks are called 'coke' in the Deep South, 'pop' in the Midwest and much of the West and Pacific Northwest, and soda in some other parts, most notably New England and New York, although it might be a different version called 'seltzer'. Notice that outside of the U.S., it may be called a 'fizzy drink'. If you ask a series of precise questions, you can determine the region of where someone lives in the U.S. I would wager that this can be extended to Oxford English in other English-speaking countries. Australia, for example, has a distant English dialect that is derived from an old Cockney dialect spoken by the original penal colonists, that is virtually extinct elsewhere. It also varies slightly from region to region. I am an American. I believe that the metric system will become more and more dominant if the globalization of the world economy continues. We already use metric in many applications-- Americans already drive foreign cars with metric standard parts built in Tennessee and other factories in the Deep South (as production has been moved in many cases to the U.S.) I speak Spanish fairly well, so I am not ignorant of those who speak secondary and teriary languages and so forth. However, I will note that Spanish has so many regional and dialectical differences that I can find many different words for the same thing if I research it. Oddly enough, I have met so many different Spanish speakers from various areas that somebody told me once that my dialect was curious because it shifted between so many different ones-- although I usually speak Spanish with a Mexican accent faded by an American English one. Oxford English makes more sense to me in certain instances. A word like 'petrol' means exactly that-- petroleum oil, and petroleum fuel. We must say 'natural gas' over here if we wish to refer to butane, propane, and other such gases used for fuel. The stereotypes that Americans are obese and lazy are hurtful. Yes, I am obese, but there were some things that made it easier to get there. Prescription medications messed up my metabolism. Years of depression fueled emotional eating. I am poor, and it is a lot of work to avoid the onslaught of heavily processed foods that are cheap, accessible, and easy to make. Even with heavy subsidy of the agricultural industry, raw foods can be outside my budget. Excuses? Yes! Am I to blame? Yes! But to polarize an argument to these extremes is to deny a full understanding of the problem. Can I lose weight? Yes, I have, but like so many it came back, particularly when my health declined again. I do not have to pull out my medical sheet to justify myself to you, and I can return to improved health when I am ready and able to do so. The 'ugly American' stereotype is very tiresome, and my patience and willingness to socialize with someone from the UK, Australia or elsewhere who accuses me and my nation of bastardizing English or being an ignorant prat devoid of intellectual refinement and civility tends to drop very quickly. If you wish me to admire you and your culture, stop stooping to criticize mine with such blatant derision. You do not know me nor my participation in various cultures. "Let's call the whole thing off!"

star wars jedi knights jedi academy
I haven't had a chance to play Jedi Outcast, strangely enough-- only Jedi Knight. But I don't doubt the combat improved over the two. It was a weak story, and the online play was disappointing. I don't favor the Jedi Knight series for combat, because it's basically on a Doom-style engine that hasn't really changed much. Always fun for blasters, but lightsaber action will always be lacking. I have not played Republic Commando but I would recommend that if you're into FPS, or even the Battlefront series.

can a mod help me with this (new to here)
I don't think I can put it better than Jake, but still are a few points that I would add: When you get your Agreement Number, save it somewhere safe. Save it on a text file to a floppy, or write it down on a piece of paper and file it away (y'know, file cabinet). Recovery questions, as he said, are a must. Choose questions and answers that people cannot easily guess. Recovery questions will help a lot, but it is still helpful to save all agreement numbers as they will help you out in a worst-case scenario. EDIT: Moved to Help & Advice.

Sjiskebab's guide to RapidShare
This would be best be put to use in Help & Advice- post it there next time. If folks can't be bothered to go there to read it, much less use the Search button to find it, well, I can't help you, because this topic is being locked. It would be ok in Tech and Computers, where it probably belongs the most, but for the users you're trying to reach, I still suggest Help & Advice.

Fastest way to get up.....?
It is generally known that flax is the fastest hands-down, particularly if you do it uninterrupted, have elf crystal access to Lletya, and teleport to Camelot to spin and bank in Seers. Bowstrings are profitable-- to sell, or to save for stringing yew longs to high alch. Crafting blue d hides into bodies is also very popular, particularly in generating gp from alching. Blues are generally the most popular because of their market availability. Coifs: see blue d hides- more useful at lower levels. Try buying on a f2p world. Pot lids: I don't really recommend this because you have to spend time dropping or banking. Tiaras: I'm not sure how fast this would be. If you have done the Lost Tribe quest and one of the Recipe For Disaster subquests, the Dorgeshuun mines are ideal for mining and banking silver. Adding completion of the Death to the Dorgeshuun quest may make runs to the Lumby furnace feasible between each load of silver (with a tiara mould in your inventory), but no one has tested it yet to my knowledge.

Best way/place to get Super Compost ingredients?
If you have some cash to burn, I would suggest moving your POH to Brimhaven. The portal is very close to the pineapple plants, and you can have your servant bank them. I use the demon butler myself (as I am already using him for planking there), but the butler or maybe the cook might be more cost-efficient.

NEW RUNESCAPE PRIEST SERVICES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YEAH!
Funk is music that is funky. Like disco that sounds good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funk I want to be the First Priest of Funk, then, and wield a shiny black bass guitar that sends funky reverberations across the land. An RS 'Priest' sounds cool, but generally this thing is sort of low-key and chosen on an individual basis (friends doing an RS wedding generally have someone in mind). Build yourself a rep and an image as a priest in game and this idea might have more mileage. (I dunno, white knight armor, monk robes, holy symbols, god books and dragon maces are your friend? Since so much of that is P2P, maybe it would work better there.)

My PC Sucks
That was my experience- I got a Chaintech AGP nVidia 6600 LE for $92 total on newegg. I don't intend on playing any of the particularly recent and graphics-intensive games except WoW (and then I'd only be doing the trial)-- and then I'd have to upgrade to 1Gb at least (can't afford much more).

Computer Won't Stop Restarting
Pop the case and have a look at your hardware. Has it been dusted recently? Check your motherboard. This happened to me before and I discovered that a capacitor on my mobo had failed. It was obviously leaking.
-
Is 1Gb enough these days...
I'm running 768MB myself (333 speed because the mobo can't run 3 DDR sticks at 400 speed) with a Sempron 3100+. I'm planning to upgrade to 1Gb. System specs, especially memory, have a lot to do with what you're running. Programs such as current PC games, photoediting software, etc. will require at least 1Gb and you may want the 2Gb to match the rest of the system requirements for them. Anything graphics-intensive is going to require more memory with a good VGA card.

will this computer be able to ply Runescape?!
keep an eye on your processes (more particularly startup ones) and you should be fine. You may want to run Runescape alone and have no other programs running.
