  1. This is an advertisement that belongs on Market of Saradomin.
  2. Your post is spam, and it is in the wrong forum. It lacks any sort of real description, or anything that would obviously spark some discussion. As some of the items were dragon, I would suggest General P2P. You could have at least said, "I can't believe this," or "this stuff is worth gp" or prompted some discussion on why he was selling it for that much. Locked.
  3. This post went down in flames, so it's getting a lock.
  4. *points to the General P2P board* Hope you're getting the hang of things here. Members discussion is on the General P2P board. General is for F2P only.
  5. EDIT: The list as it stands is confusing even with explanation. Please re-post.
  6. Locked. purenessssss, please repost with a better explanation of what you want. Those that have responded have given you an idea on what to ask for. One post, and one post only. Posting multiple times constitutes spam and is not allowed on these forums.
  7. Thread cleaned. Please stay constructive in your criticism.

This is all quite amusing. I'm sure I've posted before that I keep a bottle of Tabasco red pepper, chipotle, and habả̮̱̉ero sauce handy. I love chiles... but I'll freely admit they can kill the taste of a dish if you use too much, especially the hotter it is.
  10. My last three upgrades were a new motherboard (capacitors failed on the old one), going up from a 1.7 Pentium 4 to a Sempron 3100+ (I know many prefer the Athlon chip specifically, but this is a 64-bit Sempron), and upgrading from a GeForce 2 MX to a Geforce 6600 LE. The mobo and processor cost me $167, and the card $92 (all including tax). This was all through newegg.com, although I know some folks really like TigerDirect. As long as you have an ATX power supply (and an ATX-compliant motherboard), you should have no problem upgrading your motherboard. My last memory card was a 256 MB DDR 400 (not quite as fast as the new DDR2's but decent) that I got from a friend. He'd salvaged that and a couple of other cards that he was just going to donate somewhere. Is it possible to do the same yourself? I don't recommend buying a new computer since you can often do better if you buy the parts from the retailers I mentioned. They are solid, reliable companies (newegg's been really good to me) and you don't have to replace everything although doing a custom build from scratch will give you more bang for the buck. It's also a bit easier to get an AMD processor yourself rather than hunt down a prepackaged system that has one. Unless you want to run a fancy dual core processor, I don't really recommend Intel. If it's easier to buy a new computer, then go ahead, but I'd suggest you do what I did and get some help from a friend that knows hardware. If you think you can understand the manuals that come with the new parts (many are written in Asia so the English instructions come out a little funny sometimes), then you might be able to let him walk you through it. But definitely have someone who knows what they're doing make sure everything is connected and put together properly. Again, I don't know how old or experienced you are, so I don't know how comfy you are with hardware. But consider some DIY help if you can get it-- it's so worth it. p.s. Windows 98 isn't a bad OS; my father uses it although I know it lacks many of the functions I take for granted now on XP. The hardcore geeks will often recommend Linux, but as long as you update Windows and maintain your system, you should be fine. p.p.s. Did you follow all of this? The rest of you are free to translate if I didn't explain it well!
  11. [bleep]es and Splinters, please.
  12. According to the fishing and cooking guides here: Monkfish- level 62 fishing and cooking; 120 xp fishing, 150 xp cooking. Shark- level 76 fishing, level 80 cooking; 110 xp fishing, 210 xp cooking. Monkfish require completion of the Swan Song quest. Monkfish fish as fast as lobbies. From my observations, however, the fishing spots move a lot. I do not know at what level monkfish stop burning with cooking gauntlets, but I would imagine that it is a lower level than shark. Burning rates are less cooking on ranges, so I would suggest cooking in Catherby at the range by the bank. In comparison, you must be level 94 to stop burning sharks. I do not know what the market is like for monkfish, so you may choose sharks if you want the most liquid assets. If you aren't as concerned about the money, I'd fish and cook monkfish to about cooking level 90 or so. Stock up on Chef's Delight and Chef's Delight (m), switch to fishing sharks (or buy raw), stockpile enough cooked sharks for the average buyer, and switch to trading cooked sharks for raw. This can be modified depending on how fast you want to get to fishing 99.
  13. Thread has been cleaned. It's good to get outside, get some sunshine, socialize a bit, exercise, etc. The body needs these sorts of things.
  14. Rares are *potential* wealth. Until you sell them, they don't serve any practical purpose at the moment besides a status symbol (either of wealth or of length of time played) when worn, or when a posting a bank pic. Either way, it is more a matter of bragging rights. There's not much point to buying the wearable ones as a fashion statement, because there are so many more affordable options in Treasure Trails and random events. There is, however, some status in such Treasure Trail items (the black cavalier is probably the best example at this time) as random event clothes are not tradeable. Even so, I've never much cared much there-- I'd rather have exclamations of "lookin' snazzy" rather than "I buy yr ". I gave my wife full rune (g) with the help of a number of friends, and I watched as players pestered her all day long. If someone looks at her or myself as 'wealthy' because of items we're wearing, I'd rather have them think of the wealth of our friends' kindness and generosity.
  15. First of all, this should be in Help & Advice. This should have been pm'ed to an Administrator as yes, it appears to be fake. To my knowledge, the only e-mails that are sent out are through the reply automator. All other communication is through private messages. I would suggest you contact an Admin next time rather than posting it as spam here.
  16. You need to tell us what security you have in place, and post a Hijack This log.
  17. I would suggest setting aside some cash to upgrade memory. I am assuming that you would buy a pair of the 512's? That'd be a nice boost. Try scrounging around if possible-- I got my last 256 MB DDR 400 from a friend. He was going to donate it. I am not positive if the other two are DDR 400s, but if they are, I am running 768 MB at DDR 333 speed (due to motherboard limitations). What's your power supply? You didn't say whether or not you would keep the existing drive or not. With sufficient power, I would use the new drive as a secondary data drive, unless you're doing a lot of gaming and need more memory on the main drive.
  18. I would at the very, very least make a Karyll portal. Teleport to Canafis is very useful even if you aren't much of a magic user, ancient or modern. You did make an amulet of glory guild trophy, right? That's probably the most useful Construction piece for teleports, for the average user.
  19. From what I understand, they are profitable.
  20. I'm pretty sure cannonballs can't be made in F2P...

Steve's a great guy-- my prayers are with him, too.
  22. Here is probably the best link: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=240309 The series was called 'Runescape: A Reality' and was very tongue-in-cheek.
  23. Grasshopper, you must become one with the Search function. (Practice your skills-- you'll need it for Google, anyway :P) You know what they do with lame horses-- they shoot them. So must the horse topic be put down. The portable anvil was mentioned as a fictitious joke Guthix was musing on to severely impact the RS economy (back when smithing made money)-- I can't find it at the moment. So not going to happen.
  24. From what little I understand, this would involve a lot more memory.
