  1. You know how jagex are. When they released MA they mentioned something about a low key update. Then why this: [hide=Day to Night?][/hide] :ohnoes: Thats.... epic. Where'd you find that? Now I'm excited  I don't mind another crappy PVP update if this comes out soon!
  2. I am 100% sure that when this update is out, someone is going to complain about how they like the old animation/graphics better. Especially the emote section.
  3. If it's going to be related to a possible day/night update, I can think of one possibility. Real time day/night feature, with the tab displaying the time (based on your timezone), the date, month and year (based on Gielinorian calender). It would be great it they add some in-game weather too, Varrock hasn't had any rain for years. Then again, it might not be anything related to day/night feature at all. Could it be a Clan Memberlist Tab? Perhaps with a new location where you can officially register your clan within the game, and create a logo based on a pre-made list of shapes, patterns and colours.
  4. I'm not sure how useful the tools would be, but this update is practically overshadowed by the PVP update, lol. \
  5. The difference now is that you risk more with a whip, but you have less worry about 1-itemers with D claws and AGS, and you're bound to get legit kills with potentially good drops since the noobs who are earning EPs with one item worth 76k or more, or even coins, are bound to lose them. I would say that you have even lesser chance of losing your whip than before. The people who rushed before with AGS/Claws etc. kept Protect Melee at all times making them unkillable, this has not changed. If you can't PK any player using protect prayers, then what kind of PKer have you been? Always having honorable, no food no pray fight? If I'm pking with Melee I can't kill people who use protect melee, if I then bring a bow I won't be able to hit them with range and I'll lose food, so I'd have to bring dragonhide which would lose me even more food and make them much more likely to kill me. If I'm in the middle of fighting someone and someone else runs in and specials me when I'm already low health, how is it fair that I should lose a whip? I can't do anything to stop them doing that unless I use protect melee the whole fight. I'll at least give credits to these new-age PJers who at least have the guts to go out with a D claw or AGS knowing full well that they'll lose them 100% on death. Moreover, why would they pick on you, someone in full gear, compared to all the sitting ducks gaining EPs in hotspots with no way to retaliate, now that they always lose enough for a potential drop? A great improvement from the risk-free PJing of the past. Hmm, the past seems like only a few hours ago. In fact, it is a few hours ago!

  8. Or they just get piled by a team of 10 dds'ers. or 10 mages with entangle and tb Ah, a possibility. But I believe in the Barrows Set. Especially if the one in Ahrims is on Ancient, that's a lot of crowd control already. Of course even Spartans get pwn'ed when under the piling of many players, but they are still pretty strong. And hey, you earned so much from 26/75k tricking, why not get a few friends, spend a measly few million each and own some noobs in dds? Off Topic: It's taking me multiple tries of the 'Submit' Button in order to post a message on the TipIt forum, anyone else with this problem? What can 10 mages with entangle, and TB do? Cast some Entangles and TB's, then get shot down? I am speculating that magic might be more useful than before in PKing though, as a support class at least, now that 90% of the PJers using AGS and D claws are gone....
  9. Those who are reluctant to risk their D claws and AGS will sell theirs. But those who do, will PWN!!!! Imagine 6 TipIt'ers equipping themselves in the different Barrows set, and comb the PVP areas. Or a tag team consisting of 1 ancient mage and 1 D clawer in full Bandos. They will literally be the terror of the world unless another group with the same guts crash them
  10. My personal experience when I use a cannon is always try to find an empty world first, then set up my cannon. Until now, I've yet to fail in finding one during my slayer tasks. Once set up, I'll expect other players who came to my spot to switch, which they normally do, and one even complimented me with a "Nice cannon" too while I was at the Aberrant Spectre spot in Smoke Dungeon. It's not about the supposed honor, it's a basic courtesy. Some of the players here obviously lack such qualities. So, if RobinHoodie was training in one spot with his cannon, and a few minutes later another RobinHoodie comes to the spot and set up his cannon, I guess both RobinHoodies would be going like '[bleep] that RobinHoodie and his [cabbage] cannon, I ownz with my 99 melee stats, geyser titan, cannonand super sets yeah?" :shame: :shame:
  11. Since the first article was written before Andrew's post, I shall not comment on that. So the formula is, train your combat to level 110+, then do some 26k tricking, and buy your resources for 99 skills, until the day when gathering raw materials yourself becomes more profitable than 26k tricking. I wonder how much would prayer pots and sharks be priced at by that time? Some of these so called demand isn't even a true demand. The fact is keep cash around in your bank is going reduce your buying power everyday, and as such people are buying items to keep so that they can maintain the level of their wealth. My friend and I are always discussing on what items to buy next, and he's buying weapons and armour that he doesn't even use. (Who uses 3 armadyl platelegs anyway?)
  12. I still don't see what's the big deal about this new security key. If Jagex makes one, puts a price tag on it, those who think it's worth the money can always buy one, those who don't can always keep away from it. Extra bankspace for people who purchase one isn't negative at all. Why are there people questioning about the MOTIVE behind this? It's not up to us to worry whether this product would fall into the wrong hands, whether you can type faster than the time given for each code etc, this are problems for the makers. Or whether they are trying to make more money, and how this is all a hoax to start selling bank spaces. Besides, the fact that such a product already exists, and Blizzard is also employing it as a form of security measure, so why not us? :wall: :wall:
  13. Can you afford to wait? If you can, can the rest of the community afford to wait? I haven't personally tried the minigame yet, having heard so much about it. But based on the fact that the three races merely represents each corner of the combat triangle, I'll classify this as a glorified game of rock, paper, scissors more than a RTS. I was ready to be throughly amazed if it was anything close to...Age of Empires I, but I guess that it would take years for Jagex to implement a minigame of such standard in RuneScape...
  14. Knowing how the community in RuneScape is like, I'd rather that Jagex never returns items lost due to bugs. It's going to create way to much chaos in the future where little kids start asking for refunds for every single loss from 10k to a blurite sword. And since I have such a stand, of course I'm extra cautious with my money and items. If there's ever a bug that cause the disappearance of items in your bank.....well I won't be the only one being affect by it, let's wait and see if that day ever comes.
  15. The irony here is that the people who are agreeing that RuneScape is going downhill, that updates are useless, that his or her good old days were better, isn't going to quit anytime soon as well. I'm pretty sure that in a few months' time I'll still be seeing the same few people with hundreds and thousands of tiptit forum posts hanging around here, complaining about the same thing. If the game really bothers you that much, you should take a break. What I do notice, is that ever since the HD graphics update, game content has been taking a lot longer than usual, as well as increasing in complexity. Graphical glitches and bugs are a common sight nowadays. And that's inevitable, because the standard in gaming rises as time passes. Maybe you aren't noticing it, but if tomorrow a new quest with a standard like Clocktower/Imp catcher/Fight Arena gets added to the game, you can sure that Jagex would be flamed to ashes in less than an hour.
  16. It is and has been their stance, and they don't want to change on that stance. It's part stubborn, part image, and part time management. Not saying that it's right... but that's how it is. 11.5 million players, with a monthly subscription of 15 dollars, versus 1 million members, with a monthly subscription of 6 dollars. $172.5 million Versus $6 million Not saying which game is better, just to prove that we are getting what we paid.
  17. I like the fact that you are thinking of idea's to stop 26king, but all this does is make the value your partner would have to lose higher. If I risk 26k and I gain 2m, or if I risk 1m and I gain 5m...see what I'm saying.. Also, I think as of now, the lower level you are, the lower your chance of gaining a zaros statue The word partner applies only if you're tricking. For a normal PKer, this means that he just needs to kill a better armed target for a better reward. Just based on this table alone, I dare say that no one in their right minds would find a partner who's willing to lose a million worth of items/coins, greatly limiting players from generating 5million coins in a single artefact. 1. If you're going to do a 1 million tricking, you're not going be assured of a profit within 5 kills. That doesn't hurt a PKer who kills normally, from easy targets with 26k worth of risk to people in veracs who failed to protect their helms. 2. You can't pay people to trick with you due to trade limit, hence the only way is to find willing friends. That alone can eliminate tons of trickers. The problem now is that risking 26k can have a possible payout of 5 million. That means you can try at least 192 kills, and unless you're getting nothing out of those 192 kills, you'll start making a loss then. Which is practically impossible. They are currently only limiting the drop rate of the better artefacts based on combat levels, which clearly isn't sufficient.
  18. It's definitely more frequent nowadays. Ever since the HD update, we've had several serious game crash, like the server update to fix the movement problem whereby you run around a few extra squares whenever you change direction, the game crashed immediately after that movement update. Then the game crashed again during the rest and energy update. Seems like game updates nowadays affect other areas of the game due to certain coding and whatsnot. :wall:
  19. Since when have we been on the deflation system? It is always inflation, unless you want to quote items that have gradually lost their usefulness over time.
  20. Granted, RuneScape is a game that's constantly changing, and with that comes a lot of new issues every now and then, from luring in the past, scamming, to the current age where both of those problems have diminished a lot, and yet we have manipulation of market. You can't expect J Mods to be ALWAYS error-free right? You are treating them like gods if you're asking for that. My point is, the RuneScape forum rules and regulations did not include bannable offences such as threats aimed at harrassing players, falsifying information to mislead players into selling/buying their items, or like the example, to simply attempt to gain some profit in the midst of trouble. All you see are thread locks, removals, and nice wording to discourage the player from creating more of such threads. And then the cycle goes on and on. The mod's post wasn't to show that his being cocky, but rather, "you're playing with fire with that falsified information, and I know it, that is why I'm giving you a serious warning, because we at Jagex do not ban players for misuse of forums"
  21. no only pros like you and me use the mouse.... +1, I've never even used it before, and just got my 3rd claws from TDs \
  22. Your cash piles are secure if you keep them in the bank where they should be.. if players learn anything from updates, it's that there is most likely going to be a bug with it, and that bug could kill you, so only take what's necessary. Players should not be afraid to take their cash out of the bank due to Jagex glitches. I find it ridiculous that the players have to pay for the mistakes that they make. I completely agree. The sad part is, the account isn't yours. So if jagex decides they don't want/need to do anything about the problem, its pretty much written in stone. Is it just me, or are the replies we getting from jmods seem to be more...cocky/rude? What kind of jerks are they hiring? No wonder customer service is horrible... If I were the J Mod I'll just ban that exile guy for misuse of forum, I've seen way too many threads on the RSOF where J Mods lock the thread and merely give a warning.
  23. YES! Posted by me a few weeks ago \ Hopefully the 2 Suqahs nearest to the astral altar will now drop charms too.
  24. For some reason my bank seems to be faster than usual, no more of that slight pause in between every withdrawl  The new menu interface is great too, it fits in nicely with the new spellbook interface. So, anyone had a game of MA, I want some first hand opinions of it.
  25. Honor Pkers....honor pkers.... Let me try and locate this term in the Knowledge Base.
