Mod Mark's Statement About Dragon Claws
Sold my claws too, now thinking of how to prevent from my pile of gold from depriciating, unless they fix 26k tricking in the next update. Is the signature of the above poster even legal? EDIT: That post's gone now \

Slayer Tasks!
433 tasks, and I love skeletal wyverns too, since it's one of the true slayer monsters that require special equipment. And I can settle a task in 2 about 2 trips, each trip equivalent to one bunyip pouch, and killing at least 30 per trip. Considering their level, HP and defence, I'd say it's much faster than I expected. I blocked both iron and steel dragon tasks, since they're too slow using any combat style, but mithril dragons aren't too bad, I've only had a maximum of a task of 7, and I can settle it in one trip.

Circus - is Jagex being deliberately nasty?
Or look at it this way: Get the darn clothing first, then go for the darn EXP happily ever after.

I'm bbbaacckk......Did you miss me?
I'm surprised that no one mentioned 26k-tricking, at all. Not that I'm promoting it. :wall:

What weapons would you like to see?
When I think of melee training weapon, I can only think of Abyssal whips (and the occasional Zamorakian Spear for waterfiends). When I think of GWD boss fighting, I think of Godswords. Honestly speaking, while we have A LONG LIST of weapons in the game, there isn't many that's actually useful. This is the list of weapons that we can smith: swords, longsword, scimitar, 2-hand sword, mace, warhammer, axe, battleaxe, hasta, spears, halberds, claws Now, imagine that you've just reached Level 40 in Attack. How many of those rune weapons would you actually used for any form of combat on a regular basis, be it training, or dueling? We have many great suggestions here. But if these are implemented, I'm afraid they're either going to be a silly quest reward, or a new weapon we can make (and no one uses), or the next whip. Simply put, there isn't many useful choices available to us at each level, since attack style and accuracy barely matters against most monsters. What do the majority of the players use at level 40 Attack? Rune scimitar. Level 60? Dragon Scimitar. Level 70? Abyssal Whip, or Saradomin Sword. We always pick the fastest weapons first, and then the strongest out of the fastest, unless the monster has INSANE defence that requires the specific style, and very high accuracy bonus.

I'm sure you all agree... SURPRISING ANALYSIS - 4TH LINK
Exactly like what the above poster mentioned. Granted, even if you see an occasional dip in price (due to manipulation, dumping...), it's still easy to tell that most items in RuneScape are on the whole, rising in price. And it's an inevitable rise, because there's a new gold tap in the game, flowing at a pretty crazy rate. READ: The day when cutting magic logs is better money than 26k tricking will be the day where GP itself depreciates so much that the price of a load of magic logs that a player gathers in one hour SURPASSES the average rate of GP you get in one hour of 26k tricking. And considering that you can't cut that many logs per hour, it gives you an idea of how high the price of each log would be by then. After which it'll move on to the next resource, to the next, to the next, until GP itself is worthless.

That doesn't mean that the price of the resource items are going to stop rising any time soon, with the rate of gold flowing into the market at a much faster rate than the rate of draining. Instead of hitting a new equilibrium, the items would just spiral up and up. I won't be surprised if cooked sharks hits 2k, and prayer potions hit 20k a bottle by the end of the month

Nerfing the 26k trick.
Just limit the possible droplist of artefacts, based on the risked wealth of your kill. 26k, up to the 100k artefact 50k, up to the 200k artefact 1million, up to the 5million artefact Even if it's not the perfect solution, it's better than having EVERYONE possibly get a Zaros Statuette just by risking 26k, isn't it? :|

You did not even define what form of inflation you're talking about, the rate before the recent PvP update, or the rate we're seeing right now. An illogical way to solve a serious issue. Summoning was meant to be the gold sink after Construction, but people came up with the idea that a skill draining both time and money = bad, started ranting about it, and Jagex had to cut the shard's price by half and let players trade their pouchs for 70% of the shards back. So, is 26k tricking leading to rapid inflation? The stand for most here is yes. You just keep harping on how mild/slight inflation isn't bad. I know. That's not the point of this thread. You're picking out one item out of the whole database, to prove your point on how slight inflation is good. (Yes, I know). That doesn't mean 26k tricking should continue so that Obby Shield can hit 10 times its current price, when every other item can hit 10 times their current price too. Trolling? What are those posts?

RS - 2nd July 2009 - Wallie Cards available in Sweden
Of course it's important, maybe it'll come to my country one day as well. But importance doesn't equate to discussion value, especially when every Tip.Iter can tell its importance. \ Meh, I'm probably disappointed by the fact that we aren't having While Guthix Sleeps Part II, or any game update/improvement news, for the FIRST headline of the month of July.

Tormented Demons Solo and Duo Guide
Did WGS four days ago, have a few disastrous trial runs on the same day, got my 1st drop (D claws) three days ago, and a shard yesterday  I use a cheaper setup since I don't want to risk too much, and I use 2 sets of Super Attack, Super Strength and Ranging Potion, drinking one dose of each every 3 kills or so. So it's about 24 kills a trip.

RS - 2nd July 2009 - Wallie Cards available in Sweden
I don't think they're being jerks, simply put this piece of news really isn't one of the hottest topics right now. Change the word 'Sweden' to another country, and we can have the update for one of the next few weeks, then make the same posts about how Jagex is doing a great job expanding their market, again? Even on the homepage I see 2 7-Eleven icons. :|

Aren't you being off-topic then? This thread is about the current inflation rate that we have due to 26k tricking. You're saying that 26k needs to be fixed", and "Inflation (at the rate before the most recent PvP changes) isn't going to kill this game", which makes great titles for two different topics.

High alchemy spell, lack of gold sinks, and some other reasons contributed to the mild inflation that we have so far. Yet the 26k trick is pumping liquid gold right into the market, with nowhere to go to. If the market is flooded with infinitely large amount of GP, eventually players would have to totally abandon GP itself as the trading currency, since having 2billion GP in your bank doesn't mean anything when every other player can have that amount. The game can, of course, continue with players barter trading with each other. I can trade you a Saradomin Sword for a certain number of yew logs + adamantite bars, you can train your herblore by trading your unwanted tree seeds with a farmer with herbs in stock. But why lead the game in this direction when Jagex can fix it right now (and already on their way)? I do have reasons to believe that Jagex has some sort of way to track the total amount of GP currently in the game, since a Jagex Moderator was able to specifically tell a player where his abbysal whip was when he made a thread on the RSoF about losing his whip due to a bug with the bank when he didn't check proeperly. And I can almost imagine Jagex's GP counter jumping at a rate like never before.

Big words for someone who's already known the game inside out. Of course to high level players, they can counter the devaluation of GP by hunting more monster drops (since they're rising in value anyway), investing in items we know can stay high in value for quite a while, or do the tricking itself. Practically ANY new player who spends an hour training his combat in lumbridge can start doing it. Might as well remove the whole Tutorial Island, and replace it with a NPC saying, "You get successful in this game by training your combat level to 20, get 26k, then go to a PVP world, and start finding a partner to do the 26k trick. Then pump your skills with the money earned." From the start to the end all you've been saying is "Oh, 26k trick is not that bad", "Oh, mild inflation doesn't mean a bad thing". One, we're not talking about mild inflation here. Two, threads about investing all your GP in items isn't even that common on the RSOF, and only players with hundreds of millions know how to react to the current market. However, any player with a half decent IQ can tell that the useful items they commonly come into contact with (from small items like sharks, to decent equipments like AGS) has been rising non stop since the update, and with the money pile that they're getting, they're bound to buy something to keep the value of their not-so-hard-earned GP. What's spreading like wildfire isn't the threads about investing in items to protect your GP, but the news about how 26 tricking is easy, decent, effortless money.

Unobtainable Quest Rewards-A Cosmetic Truth
Perhaps we should suggest some sort of quest item box in our Quest Hall that keeps all the interesting items we've unlocked during these quests? The bookshelf already serve its role of keeping all quest-related books and tomes. Something like obtaining old non-tradeable holiday items from Diango. \

The True World Map? Post your findings! [Updated 2014]
The image "Speculated as the Slayer Dungeon next to Troll General Room" isn't the Slayer dungeon, but the room where you find man in the bearsuit in the quest Mountain Daughter. The slayer dungeon is located south of it, you can see the cockatrice from there. By the way, you can't get in there after the quest.

"5 Questions" with JMods - Long read [Facebook]
Or there could've been some sort of arrangement beforehand: J Mods: Don't go around asking questions like, "Are there plans to revamp old skills like smithing?" or "Is it impossible to fix the problem of summoning familiars interrupting our actions? or "Is Mobilisation Armies scrapped off the to-do list because I don't see any dev blogs on it?". Get it? Unless you want us to personally nerf all your rare monster drop rate, make your abby whip disappear without a trace and basically bring you lots of unnecessary, painful death in game. You understand that? Andrew: Aye aye captain! J Mod: I can't hear you.... Andrew: AYE AYE CAPTAIN!!11!!11!!!SHIFT!!!11!!!!!1 J Mod: Good, so what are your five questions? End of story. \

Whats this?
All i know is that this artwork is not the best. I wish Jagex artists drew things that the Players did in the game. How many players kill goblins? Only low levels and those who are extremely bored.. Example Den, i wish they drew a player soloing Bandos boss or attempting it. I wish they drew players fishing... I wish they drew players leveling. It's art i am sure they can make Summon leveling look awesome looking. But what do the artists do? Draw players on 1 side and goblins on other side, and sun in middle with a bridge. Players looking all "I am gonna beat you!" and Goblins "We are so weak". That's really lame compared to what i have seen, and the items worn are not in the game (Perhaps that's a strength amulet)! Perhaps the Lumbridge scene signifies the beginning of a great adventure, afterall everyone starts out from there. But I'm sure they could've drawn those characters in something like blue wizard(g) and blessed dragonhide, in a very concept art-like manner. If that's a strength amulet, then the guy must be wearing steel armor with medium helm for headgear. Looks like trimmed version too!

Whats this?
Because all the games in the world look 100% as crisp as they did on the advert? I think you'll find that on the Jagex server system that they built the game on, the graphics are more crisp and better on the master system the game is built on, quality is lost when you move games over to the public you'll never get the quality unless your on the master system. its the same with all games. The wallpapers of the summoning beasts before the skill was released is pretty close to what the actual thing looks like. Job well done on that. The problem is, THAT poster is really too far off what we have in game. I believe the scene depicted is Lumbridge, with the stone bridge and the goblins. Find me any equipment in game that actually looks anything close to what those people are wearing. EDIT: Perhaps this is a clue to the NEXT big graphics update?!?! :ohnoes:

Whats this?
You can't link directly to the image all the time, Jagex doesn't allow it. Most people won't be able to view it. And that is GOP (Great Orb Project). Or rather, the Runecrafting Guild. Hidden well in Wizard's Tower, had me running up and down the stairs trying to locate it.

Whats this?
I don't have an issue with Jagex advertising on their website, and the video was pretty neat too. But c'mon....since when did we have those cool looking armour and mage robes in the game? Is that lady supposed to be holding a mystic air staff or something? (Is she wearing an amulet of STRENGTH?) The pictures always look too good to be true. :wall:

BabyPunchers' Guide to Range-Slaying
Great guide, I've been trying to finish some of my tasks using range so as not to waste the slayer training time. I can't find the safespot for waterfiends though.... 3 times I tried looking for that clump of rocks, and ended having them aggressive towards me again...

Morphic Tool: How does it work?
So which if I use iron and mithril bars, which item is which? The higher exp raw materials give more bonus exp, or the other way round?
-
Morphic Tool: How does it work?
If I morph my morphic tool into a hammer and start smithing bars, does the duration of the tool depends on time, exp gained, type of bar, or just number of bar based on my smithing level?
