I found myself wondering exactly that the other day. If you're going to quit, at least do it properly! I do understand where people who frequently used the wilderness are coming from - what they saw as the main feature, or certainly their favourite feature, of the game has been taken away. But few of them strive to try and understand the problem, and Jagex's reasoning for it. I saw somebody say "Bring back the bots and RWTers, I want my wildy back!" - can you GET any more selfish? These bots have plagued our game for years, stealing yews, rocks, fish - you name it, they've stolen it - from proper players who aren't getting paid to use software that does the job for them. And this kid thinks that isn't as important as the wilderness. What a moron. People should adapt to the change and find something else to do, or quit. A very good point well made, Ratchet :thumbsup:

I think my name's quite original. I mean, I know there's a Plugpoint somewhere, but it's nowhere near as common as the "Pk3r 0wnz" or "Zammymag3" type usernames. I prefer ones that have nothing to go with RS lol. I made THE most original name a while back: Igivsheephed. LOL. Hey Gaara :) I doubt they'd do it to prevent pures. They're not doing it to annoy a certain group of players - they must understand by now that some people prefer training a pure to training other accounts. It was a move to combat RWTing, and I don't think they cared how much damage they'd need to do to abolish this (outside of completely removing EVERYTHING which I doubt they'd do for some years lol) Tbh I don't think they thought that the pures would get left out. I agree with the first point you made - the updates don't seem that catastrophic to me, but then I was never much of a wildy fan. I don't like what I've heard about revenants though, they've put me off going to the wilderness to mine rune, and as I'm F2P that's the only available way for me to mine it. But the second point - I know unbalanced trades seem fairly stupid to some, but I think if both players have been playing for a certain number of hours and have a certain total level than this unbalanced trade thing should be abolished, but they are not "uncalled for." How can they be uncalled for when unbalanced trades are the main way that RWTers get money to the account that is buying gold? Yes, it seems a bit petty to an experienced player but why would they not put a stop to unbalanced trades? If they allowed them to continue as usual, RWTers would still function in their normal way, which would be counter-productive considering all the other updates Jagex have made. It'd be the most hypocritical thing they've done - "Here, have Lootshare, the GE, the Assist System, we'll take that wilderness but you can have Bounty Hunter. But remove unbalanced trades? Nah, they're fine..." See what I mean lol? I fully agree with Lady_Shahdie's post. She found the words that I've been thinking all week but didn't really know how to say. I'm F2P and an 85 miner. I'm not going all the way into level 40-odd wilderness, only to world-hop for a VERY long time, get 28 runite ores... and then have all but two of them taken away by a ghost that freezes and hits higher than I can. Even if I was P2P I'm assuming Heroes Guild rocks are busier than ever for the same reason. I've been standing up for Jagex recently, but the reventants and the inability to lend your friends loads of money are pretty much the only things I despise about the update (I'm neither a PKer nor a merchanter so it hasn't affected me as much as others) I think that your drops should only be accessible to you if dropped in the wilderness, with others only being able to access them in Bounty Hunter, Clan Wars and whatever else they're bringing out. That'd pretty much diminish the need for revenants. As for unbalanced trades, well, I can understand that, as little as I like it. Plugpoint92 :

GAHHHH. Miniclip is NOT the root of all bad things that have happened to RuneScape! Yeah there are loads more idiots than there were, but there are loads of good players too! Jagex will never win lol. The only problem with this one is the risk to the account being stolen. Although why would you want to steal an account when you can't take money from it onto another account, by means of either logging in on another computer and trading, or drop-trading. :-k Plugpoint92 :

Race. Right... Woman and girls need to respected as part of the gamers community, aye. I never thought girls were any inferior or superior gamers to men, just less common. At any rate, the true test of superiority was in the wildy...which no longer exists. :roll: Combat ain't the only thing in RS y'know. +1 Chicky. As if the wilderness was the true test of superiority. It's just a test of who has the best armour, weapons, food and potions along with their combat levels. I rarely went to the wilderness, does this mean that I therefore can't be 'superior'? I prefer skilling. I'm sure the top players didn't go to the wilderness for fear of getting mobbed by idiots, but they're still superior. Awh don't let it put you off stuff if you enjoy it!
