  1. I'm sure those in Saudi Arabia who sentence rape victims to corporal punishment with a whip think theirs is the right way of living too.
  2. That's foul. I also hate anything by "DJ Sammy". That idiotic mouseman has butchered many a classic.
  3. If there's been a bang, this is pretty much the only option. Do what Mercifull says.
  4. Why did you bump when the topic was still on the first page?
  5. Initially I wasn't. I implied you were a person with at least half a brain. But having read your last reply, in which you asked if I was calling you dumb: yes. I am now.
  6. Well you have two choices: - The guy who is saying "but they're no cleaner than regular cars" with no evidence - Me, who says "that's BS - they are cleaner" and has provided evidence from the UK government, specifically the Vehicle Certification Agency, who set up this website with all the evidence you need: http://www.vcacarfueldata.org.uk/ To a person with half a brain, it shouldn't be a difficult choice.
  7. Comparison of hybrid petrol to normal petrol cars: Prius 1.5 petrol = 104g/km CO2 emissions Other random sample cars, not sport models since that would be biased towards the Prius being better: Renault Megane 1.4 petrol = 165g/km Peugeot 207 1.6 petrol = 166g/km Peugeot 207 1.4 petrol = 152g/km Honda Civic 1.8 petrol = 152g/km Volvo S40 1.6 petrol = 171g/km Skoda Fabia 1.2 petrol = 140g/km Mercedes A Class 1.5 petrol = 148g/km Citroen C4 1.6 petrol = 180g/km Just some examples from http://www.vcacarfueldata.org.uk In every single one I looked at the Prius had lower CO2 emissions. Take a look here. You'll see that the Prius is the car with the lowest emissions on record in this UK government database. And funnily enough it's got the biggest engine in the list of the top 10 petrol cars too. Another incentive for using hybrids for company cars is the amount one gets taxed on them. Company car owners are taxed on a percentage of the list price of the car they have. The percentage of the list price you are taxed on is dependent on the CO2 emissions of the car you have. This means that those who have a Prius are only taxed on 15% of the list price - compared to say someone who gets an Audi TT 3.2 Quattro who will be taxed on 35% of the list price. Fact me 'til I fart.
  8. There are already some incentives for those using hybrids. For example in some states people in hybrids can use the car pool lane. Also, hybrid owners don't have to pay the London congestion charge.
  9. I'd harness all the hot air emanating from the hippies who like to pontificate about the environment.
  10. Just in case there was any confusion: I fully acknowledge that Macs get viruses. *Smacks head on a keyboard* It was in a reply to me and you may well have still been under the misconception that I was a Mac user. Anyway, that's why I prefixed my reply with "if you are referring to me". I'd say almost all virus writers write their own, not use Virus Toolkit Enterprise Edition. Your comments about what OS programmers use is also unfounded, programmers in general are people well-versed in computing and as such are more likely to have used several different OSes. Linux included.
  11. What I said about things working is subject to interpretation. I intended it as a negative point meaning 'if something DOES work, it will take you an eternity to figure out how to make it work'. That does not compute. If, for example, we managed to quantify stupidity and said the Mac userbase was 1% stupid, the Windows userbase could be 2% stupid and still have a higher proportion of stupid users. That does not mean the majority are stupid. How on earth is that praising Macs? That is a negative point. If you are referring to me, like I said - I am not a Mac user. The only times when I have used one have been when I've been trying to fix my mother's one. People use linux for servers because it is better suited to them. People use Windows Mobile for palmtops because it is better suited to them. People use VME on mainframes because it is better suited to them. There is no universally best OS, and Mac OS was designed as an end user OS - so your argument fails there. I am not a Mac user, nor am I a Mac fan. However when people start throwing flawed arguments at the OS I will point out why said arguments are wrong.
  12. Don't waste your time trying to do prints of fractals. They look terrible.
  13. Praise it so much? I don't have one, I have never had one, I don't want one, I have never wanted one. If my post counts as me praising it 'so much' I'd be interested to know what you call it when I actually am praising something.
  14. A bit of an aside, but mod is short for modification - it isn't an acronym so you don't need to capitalise it as MOD. Or is it an acronym that I just don't know of? If so, what does it stand for?
  15. There's nothing below the belt about that quote. That's what the guy said, that's one of the attitudes many non-americans don't like.
  16. That is total horse faeces. Steaming and fly-ridden, with some undigested grass in it. I'm interested to know where you got that fibrous, tapered nugget of brown. You evidently don't know much about Europe. 'Nuff said. Maybe it's these kind of remarks...and you know these people live in the States? Don't forget this one:

  18. Awesome program. I have found that it's best to use the smallest dots you can as it allows for greater detail. Unless you're going for a stylised effect. Edit: just noticed this is an old topic. I don't think it warrants locking since I doubt you'd like ShadowFaxPZ creating a new topic just to ask that question. His question is on-topic and not spammy.
  19. Because you just can't work out how to get it to work. I spent 10 minutes trying to work out how to delete a file on a Mac, since there's no delete key. It took me that long to realise I had to drag it to the bin on the dock. I don't agree with that. I think it's because the windows community has a higher percentage of stupid users. My opinion of OSX is that it makes a great deal of sense to someone who has never used a computer before. However, if you are already versed in the arts of windows or linux you will have a bit of trouble adapting.

And they have no BS in them. Last time I looked, White Rabbits only had something like 5 ingredients.

Toblerone is rich chocolate with honey & almond nougat bits in it. I very much like amaretti, but only the expensive soft ones.
  22. Was it Planetarion? Edit: no, it probably wasn't.
  23. Try using the reset CMOS jumper, then post back. Also see if you can find your motherboard manual - they normally have explanations of the bleep codes.
  24. If you read my post I told you two ways to stop it running all the time. Also, just because you paid for it doesn't mean there isn't a better alternative that is free. Get rid of it.
