JaGEx stands for Java Gaming Experts, so I'm not just randomly capitalizing things, it's what they are, and how it should be capitalized. If you look at their logo[/img], it's jAGeX. Since you didn't ask a question, I'll pose the same one: Would you rather work for the Java Gaming Experts or Blizzard?

[Guide] How to get and use HijackThis.
Well, I must say, very nice guide. Was thinking of making one myself but since you did it, I'll just have more time tomorrow to work on my website. This should be added to a sticky about basic steps to fixing computer problems (along with Spybot and Ad-Aware scans, making sure you have a software firewall, a good virus program, etc.) Such a sticky would be a decent space saver, especially if we had a HJT sticky (after all, how many posts on this forum don't have "Post a HJT" mentioned somewhere..Not including discussion and non-windows-pc-related questions?).

Web Design/Web based scripting
The fruition of my sorting troubles : [hide=My Reaction][/hide] Very nice work there *begs for code  * JK, although it would be rather neat to look at. Slightly more on topic, but I have a few questions. I'm working on making my own website, and maybe forums too. I have a good understanding of HTML and CSS. I'm working on Java (Not JS yet) now, but I want to take up JavaScript too, and I saw that both are rather close in many ways. So, what should I move on to after JS, which I've already kind of started on, and have a very basic understanding of? Should I try PHP? Is ASP .NET worth learning, or will having a good knowledge of PHP be better than wasting time learning ASP.NET? Also, I'd be very happy if someone with some experience in it could help me with questions on setting up a web server (using Linux, not shelling out the cash for Windows 2008 Server), or FTP server. Anyone who knows of good cheap hosting if that doesn't work out would be nice too.

- Storing Files on iPod and Xbox 360 Question
If I remember correctly, the iPod is a FAT32 file system, which can only do files of 4GB and lower. Just checked with the Apple KB, and I was right. Link. Check the very bottom of the page to see the proof, read the whole page for using it as a portable hard drive. Sorry, but you can't use that .ISO, it's just too big....Wonder why/how I remembered all this...- Problems with computer.
HJT be here. Go here too. Small test forum I made, with a bit on malware. Thought you may find it good to help with your problem. Figured I would throw out a link to a dl. Be sure to just save the log when you're done, then copy it and paste it here (in hide tags of course).- Worst thing you got caught doing at school!
Hmm..Worst things I got caught doing.. Yeah, I know I listed a few things, but they're all pretty much the same in severity. Well, there was making small explosives in chemistry. That was a good day. Stealing matches/chemicals from the lab (though my teachers were cool and they knew I wasn't going to use them to blow up the school, just a mailbox or two  ). Throwing a kid into a locker (happened a few days ago actually), dean let me off. I don't think any staff caught me, but I'm sure someone saw me throw a kid down the staircase. Nearly got caught trying to cut through a flimsy bike lock, but we had a "sentry" or two, and they stopped anyone from getting in trouble. And I knew the person whose lock I was cutting, it was just going to be revenge. I'll just throw fighting in here, because I don't have enough time to go though every fight I've ever been in. As for stuff I didn't get caught doing, we could start a thread on RSOF and get close to filling it up (well, maybe not, but I do break the rules nearly every day..Usually it's just carrying contraband like matches)... I gotta start keeping a log of all the horrible things I do..Although I went through psychology and was diagnosed as pretty much normal, except more sadistic than your average person.- The 'You're Banned' Game (over 38,000 banned!)
Banned for not killing him yourself *kills everyone who posted in the 2 pages, not including myself*- Whats the nastiest thing you've done to someone?
I have to do that nearly every day to get to class on time. If people don't move when I say "excuse me", I move them, be it shoving or physically lifting them and placing them somewhere more convenient...Although I have thrown a few kids down the staircase. Probably the nastiest thing would be throwing a heavy hammer at a kid. I was about 3 inches from making him a her (or at least infertile). Almost got attempted murder out of it to, ended up with getting expelled, reinstated, charges dropped, and a 1 day suspension, within about an hour. Actually, come to think of it, I've been suspended from every school I've been in, except High School. All the things I've done that should have gotten me in serious trouble have just been shrugged off. I even threw a kid into a locker in front of a dean and he just waved it off. I guess its true that I look pissed off all the time. Nastiest thing I ever did to an official was make the lunch lady destroy the school's microwave (private school, we could heat our own lunch) by telling her the wrapper for an Arby's sandwich was microwave safe..Made some neat colors anyways. Also almost hit a cop in the head with a large model rocket, but we missed (not our fault, had a large gust of wind come through and knock it off course). I believe it was illegal anyways, but my dad knew the cop (since my aunt was a cop for like 20 years down here, and she lived a half mile away), so it was all cool  And I lol'd at the South Park reference.- What are your favourite crisps?
Ahh man, I was going to post one of their flavors too, but then I remembered they were Pretzels. Oh well, they're just as good as any chip. We used to get Jalapeño or Buttermilk Ranch, mostly Jalapeño though.- Visual Basic 2008 Help
I would guess you would put descriptive names in the text file, have matching names in a dropdown list, and have a loop statement that finds the file, and reads off the information, pasting it in a listbox. It would have to iterate through the loop a certain number of lines (for i=1, i <= 4, i++), which would fit your example)...Trying to think of the code for it, but I can't seem to remember.. You could try looking at http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?p=2316263. I took at look at the code and got confused, but then again I was looking at it in Notepad++ and not through VB. http://www.ostrosoft.com/vb/projects/textfind.asp Maybe I'll try something like this in Java, but for WoW. Seems like a good project that would encompass quite a few different elements.- Looking for Flash game programers for GP2X Wiz
This is coming like 6 months too early. We don't get into Flash in my game design class for awhile (going to VB soon, then Flash)...Guess it will be over by then =(. Oh well, the console looks very nice, may have to get one. Oh well, if it's open source I can probably still contribute later on.- What are your favourite crisps?
Son of two consenting adults....How did I forget Sun Chips? *Vote Changed* I absolutely love Sun Chips, but I never get to buy them anymore. Must go to the store and get a bag or something, and remind myself why I love them. I love Original and Harvest Cheddar best as well.- Question about Torrents and ownership
If it has a disk mode on it, sure. My iPod 5G (30GB video) has a cracked screen, and it's out of warranty, so I've been using it as an external hard drive for awhile. When you plug it in, check any software you use to see if there's a disk mode option, or maybe just open it through My Computer, and make a new folder on it titled RCT:2 or something like that. I looked and the only thing I found was that it's like 202 MegaBytes, so you should be golden. It all depends on the size of the game, but I don't think the game will be over 7.8GB (which is what you should have with almost all songs/videos or whatever taken off). Try it and see, if it doesn't work, at least you know for the future. If it does, you have a spare portable hard drive if you should need one.- Pros & Cons
Pro: Keeps those idiots from doing it on a different site. Con: Poster of the video will spend an excessive amount of time trying to find helpful comments. Herpighonasyphilaids.- Would u rather
Much rather piss someone off. It's a lot more fun, and they'll get over it eventually (or not, but then it's one less idiot you have to deal with). WYR be forced to learn C++ or Java?- Corrupt a Wish (IT's over Nine Thousand)
Granted, you become a member of a cult that decides to use you in a ritual, sacrificing your life to some concocted "higher power". I wish I could figure out the best way to play the different classes in WoW...- The 'You're Banned' Game (over 38,000 banned!)
Banned for playing RuneScape.- Count to ~200~ before a mod posts - fifth round
2 :wall:- Question about Torrents and ownership
I'd have to say since the torrent is an illegal copy of a program (or anything really), then you would be charged with possession of stolen goods. Although, you do have a legit copy, which would mean you weren't stealing anything, but just making you copy usable...Well...I'm confused now.. :? I wouldn't try it anyways because torrents aren't safe to download a lot of the time (at least in my experience). I would just buy a new CD, or get a large flash drive (a decent-sized iPod, such as the 5G video would work too), go to a friend's house, copy the files from CD to the aforementioned drive, and then go back to your house and do the install (provided all of you USB ports aren't broken as well, in which case, get a new computer). Don't listen to Mlbfan... You can get caught, and although it's unlikely that you'll get caught for one thing, you not only risk the fines and jail time, but getting a virus or two along the way. - Storing Files on iPod and Xbox 360 Question
