  1. Diango wouldn't keep quest items but it doesn't hurt to try. You'll most likely be able to find the Wizard's hand back at the RDPT.
  2. You have to use your knife on the fireplace first. Then, use your knife on the portrait to get an ornate key. The ornate key is actually used on a statue near the end of the quest. Hope that helps, Cele
  3. Exactly! I actually find it quite ironic that the Port Phasmatys general store does not take ecto-tokens as currency and the only places that you can use it are to buy brewing yeast in the pub basement and for dingy rides out to Dragontooth (or was it Daggertooth?) island for a quest.
  4. To be brief -- no much. Willows aren't a popular fletching material since it gives very crummy exp and High Alchs to an output that's not worth the time. Willows are popular for firemaking but that's only if somebody is willing to literally burn their money away for a Firemaking cape. I don't keep hourly tabs on the nearly constantly whimsical changes of the Runescape Market but I heard that you were able to sell willow logs at 100gp each. You're much better off using willow logs to train another skill until you can chop a higher level tree that's much more salable.
  5. There's a very simple solution to your problem: if you manage to sell your logs, just chop more yews to compensate for the price decrease. Plus, with the extinction of yew bots, you should have an easier time chopping yews and it wouldn't take you a long time to cut 1K.

I suggest the willow trees at Rimmington since there's a general store nearby that you can immediately sell your logs to and go back to cutting. If you happen to be a member, this is also a good place to fletch unstrung willow bows and sell them to the general store as well.
  7. It's been a while since I've cut teaks for anything, even for firemaking. Well, the speed difference between teaks and willows is small enough that it doesn't make much of a difference. The trouble is that teak trees disappear so quickly that it gets a little annoying.
  8. You definitely want to train your melee combat skills to at least lvl-60 so that you can use Dragon equipment. Don't worry about range and magic for now since in members you'll have easier ways to train them such as fletching your own range bows and arrows and runecrafting runes. If you have the patience, train your prayer to at least lvl-43 so that you have access to all three protection prayers; they're very helpful during many quests. Your mining and smithing are currently good; I suggest you train smithing to lvl-65 if you plan on getting the Quest Cape. Try to train your firemaking to unlock the bull's eye lantern if you haven't already -- you'll need to be able to light a bull's eye lantern for a few very important and worthwhile quests. Your fishing and cooking are good; Catherby is a popular fishing area so you can train there when you join members. If you have the patience, I suggest train until you can fish and cook both Lava Eels and Karambwan -- green sea urchin like animal. Your crafting is at a decent level; there are plenty of crafting options in members so you can hold out on training it. Again, if you have the patience, you may want to train your crafting until you can make ruby rings if you haven't done so already; enchanting ruby rings become Rings of Forging, which are very useful when training smithing.
  9. In 4 to 6 hours I can probably churn out about 5K Nats or around 5K Laws when I'm not using the Abyss. Selling said Nats or Laws, I'll make at least 1M gp. You *can* train your runecrafting up a bit to give this a try. Ever since the death of merchanting, you'll have to rely on high leveled skills and monster hunting for high level drops to make a decent amount of GP.
  10. With pure essence at about 150gp each, I've come to realize I need some form of reliable income to support my training at the Mage Training Arena. Taking a look at my skills and searching through my bank, I finally remember that my fletching was close to lvl-70, I had a decent supply of yew logs for yew shortbows and a cache of flax that needed spinning. So, I decided to revive the olde fletching routine and started fletching yew shortbows and High Alching them. If I do this wisely, I can level up my Woodcutting by cutting Yew trees, Crafting since I have some flax left, Fletching to get myself to making Magic bows, Magic since I'll be High Alching my fletching products and Runecrafting when I go and make Nature runes. It's a good thing I'm roughly a third of my way through the Graveyard points but I'm sure I'll need to make more Nature runes to continue with the Alchemy arena since I'm using Bones to Peaches instead of Bones to Bananas. Bones to Peaches gives slightly more exp than Bones to Bananas at the cost of two Nature runes but it allows me to stay in the Graveyard arena indefinitely. If my numbers are correct, then I'll need a total of 3K Nature runes to complete the Graveyard arena.
  11. Do the Watchtower quest and you'll unlock the Ogre Enclave area. It's one of the better Blue Dragon areas and it's usually not over crowded with people like in Taverly dungeon. Just make sure you have a nice large supply of Nightshade to get pass the Enclave guards.
  12. You were getting ~4M per day and you're whining about not making money? Just be thankful that you knew a group of people that helped you do that. You can try finding a reliable Kalphite Queen partner and hope you get lucky getting Dragon Chains. You might also want to try killing the TzHaar denizens and selling the Obsidian equipment.
  13. I'm with you on this one! I love quests and I use quest requirements for short term skilling goals. Even though I have used quest guides to get my Quest Cape, I still enjoy reading the dialogs and having a good laugh at a joke. Oh and anything that gets rid of bots, real-world traders and scammers is all right with me.
  14. Scabarite research notes mini-quest: Inside the Scabarite lair/temple, one chest is in the north-west part of the dungeon, directly east of the Scabarite High Priest's chamber. The other chest is in the south-west corner of the dungeon, due south from the Scabarite High Priest's chamber, up against the southern wall. Hopefully these descriptions are good enough that you can mark onto the map lair/temple map.
  15. If you look at Tip.it's fishing and cooking guide, you'll notice that Monkfish has almost the same fishing and cooking exp. If you plan on training them both, I'd recommend training with Monkfish since it has a really decent fishing speed, gives you the cooking speed and is also a decent food source for combat training or for Slayer tasks.
  16. Keris is useful when fighting Kalphites and Scabarites (Scarab lancers, mages etc). The Keris doesn't have any "special" like the dragon weapons but it can make a critical hit on Kalphites and Scabarites. You can also apply weapon poison to it to make it more effective. If you compare the attack bonuses of the Keris to the Whip, then the Whip is overall better when used in typical melee combat situations.
  17. You can try making Holy Oils from the Temple Building mini-game then sell them on GE. I haven't tried doing this myself but a friend said it's fun and profitable.
  18. Just practice. There's an algorithm to solve the slide-puzzles. My biggest tip is work in circles and solve the puzzle from top row to the last row. Once you figure out how to solve slide-puzzles, it's just faster to do it yourself instead of relying on a program. I recommend that you get one of those $1 slide-puzzle toys to practice with.
  19. Thanks for the encouragement! Currently I'm taking a small break from the Mage Training Arena; it's not as "stress free" as I thought since I have to be paying attention almost 100% of the time at the various arenas. Just last night I've finished the new quest "Dealing with Scabaras" and once again can wear my Quest cape, at least until next week or whenever the Summoning intro quest comes out. I suppose I'll head back to the Mage Training Arena and into the Graveyard arena, since I only have about 200 points. I have a feeling I'll need to make more Nature runes before I can continue with the Alchemy arena. Cele
  20. Members get a lot of different ways to train skills, many of which are faster than "free methods". I'd say keep working at your skills until you get totally bored mindless and then join members. I noticed that one of your targets is to runecraft deaths; you won't be able to do that even through the Abyss if you haven't completed a long series of difficult quests. So, join members now or next month and worth through quests. There are a lot of skill requirements for quests and you can use those requirements as short term training goals. That's what I did and my stats are rather well balanced.
  21. Main. With the amount of time that you've invested into your pure, your main could have had one or two lvl-99 combat skills. I seriously don't see the point of having two characters since one super amazing "Z-type" character is far better than having two mediocre characters. Cele P.S.: "Z-type" would the them name of renown player with extremely high stats. I'm sure you all know who I'm talking about here.
  22. Here's what I would do: - Buy lots of high level tree seeds and train farming - Buy lots of herb seeds and seconds to train herblore
  23. Just another update: I've spent the last two and a half days at the Mage Training Arena and I've racked up 11K + Enchantment pizzaz points. Tomorrow, I'll continue with the Enchantment arena and get another 4K Enchantment points and start on either the Alchemist arena or the Graveyard arena. I think the Graveyard arena might go faster than the Alchemist arena, so I'll go get the Graveyard points first.
  24. Cook them, sell them, fish some more, and sell again. In whichever order you do them, you'll eventually be getting the lvl-99 Cooking and Fishing anyways. It's too bad you can't cook and fish at the same time.

You want to kill Damis as quickly as possible, with your most powerful Earthspell. Get your best Magic attack boosting equipment and get runes for your strongest Earth spell. When I was working through Desert Treasure, I used full Lunar robes, substituting in the following items: - Helm of Neitiznot; from "The Fremennik Isles" - Cape of Legends; from "Legends Quest" - Chaos Gauntlets; from "Family Crest" <-- for chaos-based Earth spell - Ring of Life - Amulet of Power - Anti-firebreath shield; from "Dragon Slayer" Now, depending on your prayer points, load up on 7 to 10 4-dose Prayer pots and some decently high food in case you get hurt. If you feel you need more Prayer boosting items, substitute accordingly: - Holy/Unholy book <--> Anti-firebreath shield - Holy/Unholy symbol You probably want to boost your attack bonuses to help you hit Damis harder so I suggest using the Unholy book and Unholy symbol.
