  1. There shouldn't be any strength or attack level requirements to wear the Varrock armor since it's an item that everybody can obtain by performing the tasks in the Varrock diary.
  2. Trying to get onto World 2 is like telling your sanity to commit suicide very slowly with a wooden spoon.
  3. Ava's Accumulator creates steel items in your inventory as you walk around. As for as attracting bolts, arrows and whatever else you use while ranging, yes, it attracts all types of metals, including rune. This I am sure of since I usually use mithril arrows while ranging.
  4. A damaged Zamorak prayer book is still a Zamorak prayer book but it really is a better idea to have it filled with prayer book pages. Maybe you can hold 3-items and get yourself into the GWD and confirm if it works. If it works, let us all know! Cheers, Cele
  5. Well, I'm training Runecrafting and Magic at the same time while I train at the Mage Training Arena. I seriously want an Infinity Set. :D And with the Grand Exchange coming around, I'll have an easier time buying Pure Essence.
  6. I've finally reached lvl-75 Firemaking. I guess I'll now start chopping and burning Yews and slowly get myself to lvl-80 Firemaking and unlock Magic Pyre Logs.
  7. Don't gorilla monkeys constantly heal themselves when they get to low health meaning I can never get its bones? Just stand by the Gorilla statue to recharge your prayer points and keep attacking the Gorilla guard. It'll die eventually. Then just go up the stairs and switch on whatever greegree you have to walk around safely. Don't try killing the Archer monkeys at the village entrance; you'll be tossed into the prison. Instead, kill the Archer monkeys that are near the Ape Atoll agility course. Even though they're standing/sitting on those raised wooden platforms, you can still melee the Archer monkeys and grab their bones. There are plenty of zombie monkeys underneath the Temple. When you're ready, buy all the Monkey talismans you'll need and bring them to Zooknock. As a precaution, bring more than one of each monkey bone type in case you accidentally bury them for any reason. Plus, it's always a good idea to make an extra greegree in case you lose it when you die from something.
  8. Try to wear as many pieces of black clothing as possible, including your cape slot. You just need to get by Evil Dave while wearing the black clothing once and after that you can switch to your combat gear for the rest of the quest. I suggest some of the following: - black fungus stained desert robe top - black fungus stained desert robe bottom - priest gown top - priest gown bottom - black cape - black fungus stained Silverlight - black Full Helm or Medium Helm - black Wizard's hat
  9. To make the Rod mold: 1. Go behind the Canifis bar and enter the trap door. 2. To through the the secret door on the south wall of the bar basement. 3. Look on the east wall for a cave entrance. You may need to change your camera angle to see it. 4. Go through the cave entrance. 5. Use some soft clay on the sarcophagus to make the Rod mold. To make the Rod: 1. Having 1 silver bar, 1 mithril bar, 1 cut sapphire and the Rod mold in your inventory, use the silver bar on a furnace to make the unenchanted rod. 2. Use Enchant Item Lvl-1 (Sapphire Enchant) on the Rod. 3. Go to the underground/tomb area of the Temple-on-the-Salve (Paterdomus) 4. With a rope in your inventory, use the Rod on the well.
  10. Block all those addresses from emailing you ever again and if you feel inclined, email Jagex about these "rogue" websites so that their legal team can shut them down. I can't be certain about the legal team shutting down those websites but definitely block those addresses.
  11. Since the Grand Exchange is coming soon, you should chop as many willow trees as possible. The higher the quantity, the greater your chances of selling your willow logs. As mentioned in some of the other posts, 10gp per willow log is a really reasonable price.
  12. The adventurer's guide to killing Boss Monsters This isn't my "guide" but my contribution to this post's original author. I hope my rather long winded description will help you out.
  13. Here are a few tips and/or reminders on how to approach the Ice Diamond: - bring Restore potions; two 4-dose should be ok - use your strongest Fire spell - use your best magic defense and magic boosting equipment - have some form of 1-click quick escape; teleport tablet, Ectophial - use Protect from Melee prayer; bring Prayer Restore potions - even when you're frozen, you can still eat food - bring the best food you can buy/make; ex. Tuna Potatoes There are also a few player-made guides that you can look for on the forums. Good luck.
  14. Good idea. Having a professional perspective is always a good way to convince somebody that doesn't know enough about a particular subject. Good luck.
  15. Yes, you should stop being a Strength Pure and become a normal player. Why? You'll have more fun in the long run.
  16. [/hide] im a jr. in highschool but theres no way ill still be playing this game in college. I really think only nerds are addicted to this game im even a Varsity 135lb. @ my highschool. but id be embaressed 2 be playing a game with all these young kids....and a younger ppl game. You'd be surprised with the amount of people who are in the "older crowd", especially those who just want something inexpensive and entertaining to hop on once in a while.
  17. It's just a game. Just make a decision and go with it. If you really need a nudge in some sort of direction, go with fishing and cooking, like lobsters or swordfish from the Karamja fishing dock area. Just bring an axe and tinderbox with you so that you can cook the fish on the island and you'll be able to bank a full load of whatever you fished and cooked.
  18. Eh? I'm guessing the "spirit" is a tree spirit that appears as one of the woodcutting random events? If it's a random event tree spirit, just run away and it'll eventually disappear. Edit: Oops! I misunderstood your question. When you said "Lost City" you meant the quest? Whenever you're killing a quest monster, especially those that are "summoned" into the play area, they will eventually become bored and disappear if you take too long to kill them. I just recommend you try killing the spirit quicker by training up your combats skills. Since you can't bring weapons with you but you can bring skilling materials, here's what you can try: Melee -- bring a silver bar and sickle mold to make a silver sickle. This is a terrible weapon so I *don't* recommend this method. Range -- bring all the materials you need to make full leather armor and your best bow. You can bring ready made arrows instead of arrow heads and shafts. There's a safe-spot behind some rocks that you can use to kill the spirit. Magic -- bring the runes for your most powerful spell since you can't bring an elemental staff with you for auto-casting. Use the safe-spot I briefly mentioned in "range". Good luck Cele
  19. hehe, me too tand thanks sjakie,! my arms fine now and ill go insane with one more piece of coursework and my membership ran out so no runescape for a day or so, till i finish coursework and get some credit, :D Hey zed, If you need help with your math, I can always give you a hand -- or at least check your work to make sure everything is correct. Simultaneous equations are a piece of cake to me  . Just pop me a private message on a weekend with a scan of the questions you need help with or have me check over. Cele
  20. Fortunately I've only had one instance of a "friend" scamming me for a rune plate body and legs back when I was on the free worlds. I helped said "friend" complete Dragon Slayer but he didn't have enough money to buy the rune plate body and legs on his own. So, being a gentle hearted (or naive) soul, I offered him my help. At the time I needed materials to train my crafting so I made a small deal with him; trade me X amount of hard leather and I'll make stuff and sell to get money, then buy him the armor. Well, after about a week, slaving away with thread and needle and selling huge amounts of hard leather bodies to the general store -- I didn't have High Alchemy and couldn't afford the Nature runes anyways -- I finally scrounged up enough coins to buy my "friend" a rune plate body and legs. So, I finally met with said "friend" and traded him the rune body and legs. An hour later, he PMs me, telling me he just got scammed out of his rune body and legs. I tell him, if he wants my help again, he'll have to butcher X cows again and give me hard leather to work with to build up my cash supply. He begs and begs and begs, trying to convince me that he was scammed but he doesn't want to get me the hard leather, let alone cow hides so that I have to tan the hides myself! I tell him that I'm sorry he got scammed and it isn't my problem, because at that point, my instincts were telling me that my "friend" isn't the "scammEE" but is now the "scammER" by taking advantage of my generosity. Let's just say he shortly left the game, either because he really WAS scammed and was genuinely asking me for help, or he simply got bored of the game because he didn't understand the relation between skill training and money and other game nuances. The best "type" of friends are indeed the older crowd, at least from my experience since I fit into the older crowd too. And when I say "older crowd", I mean those who have at least finished high school, is going through university/college or finished and is working or is old enough to be responsible for children of their own and plays RuneScape as a quick brain chill after a long day at the "office". Anyways, I digress. The Older Crowd makes great friends because we realize it is just a game and we rarely obsess over items and that we play the game for what it is, a game. We don't take the game overly serious but we're usually serious enough to play the game honestly and the way game should be played; developing (grinding) our character's stats so that we (the character) can do more. 21. Why do you "need" one set of God armor every month? If I'm not mistaken, you're talking about the Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak God armor, right? Your obsession with items will quickly make you unsatisfied with the game and either cause you to turn to cheating or quitting the game. Maybe you should just play the game as it is and get the items you want when the opportunity arises.
  22. Thanks Zed! Hiatus isn't a disease though. It just means "a break or an interruption in the continuity of work, series, action etc". Currently I've dug myself in for some well needed Fire Making training. You can find me at Rimmington cutting and burning willow trees. So far, I've trained my Fire Making to lvl-70 and my Wood Cutting to lvl-75. I'm aiming for lvl-75 Fire Making by December to unlock Magic Log burning. If I'm feeling very ambitious, I'll push for lvl-80 Fire Making or as close to it as possible.
  23. If you have the money and/or patience, buy or runecraft runes for the Mage Training Arena and get yourself some Infinity clothes.
  24. Unfortunately, it seems I picked the wrong friends this time... They don't want to loan, much less give, any of it out. I might try barrows, but it seems like all the barrows sets have gone down a lot! I might try killing ankous, but that might be hard without guthans.... That's very unfortunate. The next time you decide to "quit", it may just be a better idea to just set up your bank and inventory to switch back to F2P and keep everything. Then, whenever the whim hits you and you want to come back, you'll be all set. Unfortunately, I don't have any get-rich-quick schemes since I don't really have one myself. :(
  25. What happened to getting items the old fashioned way? Brush off the dust covered armor, weapons and supplies then go into the God Wars dungeon and get those God Swords yourself! Go Ozzy, you can do it!
