  1. And all that construction too....gotta love MnDoT  Yeah, they're always doing something to 394, sometimes they even move it to one lane traffic... During rush hour. WTF :( you live in Minnesota? Yes, I go to school in St Cloud but I grew up in Wisconsin :^o
  2. Sounds like a PR move to me. There weren't any male prostitutes waiting for the Pope's go-ahead on this issue.
  3. And all that construction too....gotta love MnDoT
  4. I've honestly never read that book or any of Dan Brown's garbage haha. I figured the question had to be asked since nuclear technology has the same dilemma.
  5. This is coming from a person whose worst subject is science, but, although a little far-fetched, this seems like it could be developed into a weapon, no? Would be pretty sad if it ended up like that.
  6. My apartment is across the street from campus, but my walk to classes is still about 10 minutes. The History building is conveniently located on the opposite side of campus from where I live. The only time I drive my car is to go to the grocery store or to back home to Wisconsin. That's a two-hour drive when I do go, but I have a 2000 Saturn-L so it gets pretty good gas mileage. I also have a bunch of buddies that come back with me so we usually have a full boat and a few people to chip in for gas money. It's a pretty good system.
  7. I have four tattoos including a huge piece covering my entire right side. I love body art and I find it fascinating that very cool original drawings and ideas can essentially be painted on the human body. All my tattoos can easily be covered up by a short-sleeved shirt and long pants and until I get a job where I know I can have tattoos showing, I won't be getting tattoos on my arms. I would never get any piercings as they don't seem to suit me. I'm not against them at all, I date a girl that has at least 10 or more. As for the body modification, that stuff just creeps me out. I can't really say anything else.
  8. I mentioned this in the 120 Constitution thread, but I think that for some unknown reason players do not like to see Runescape change, especially in the high-leveled content division. I've played this game long enough to see a lot of major changes come and go, even the change from Classic to RS2, and it's always the same argument: "It was better the way it was!" Whether it's arguing against high-leveled content or not, it always comes down to the fundamental idea that the game has changed and for some reason, Runescape players do not like change. They like to do the same task in the same way, day after day until they get x-amount of gold or x-level. If Runescape wasn't updated weekly (granted major updates don't happen weekly), it would have died years ago. The game needs to keep evolving and the obvious holes in it are in the high-level content division. Embrace change because without it, this game would not exist.
  9. I feel like if we worked hard for those levels that we should be rewarded with content. It's as simple as that.

  11. It seems to me (and this is a recurring trend) that people are really afraid of Runescape changing. The more I read through this thread, the more I want to see it bumped to 120. This game is getting stagnant and I think that a bump to 120, although a drastic change, would ultimately be good for the game. It would open a lot more doors than it would close. And this got moved to suggestions? I thought this was more of a hypothetical discussion than a suggestion. General Discussion needs better topics, move it back.
  12. I thought the ending was a huge let down. Kinda dissapointing nothing interesting happened. I thought the ending was perfect. How else should a religious fanatic/serial killer die other than martyr fashion?
  13. I'm a little on the fence. I'd like it because I'm well over 13m xp, but at the same time I'm sure there are a lot of repercussions that will happen that we can't possibly predict. I guess I'd lean more towards boosting it, though.
  14. I loved The Fall but yeah it took some getting into.

    Hi-Fi

It seems like vinyl is making a comeback. I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a nice turntable as well.
  16. Chinese ownership of America? I highly doubt that. We owe them $772billion. I would venture to say that we would go to war with them before we let them "own" us. Seems to be the nature of the way problems are solved around here.

    Mistakes

I'll let you know in 20 years when I have the wisdom to know what was a mistake and what wasn't. So far though just like rpg, getting back together with an ex. If it didn't work once, it won't work again.
  18. I just watched The Wrestler. What an incredible movie. Darren Aronofsky's movies are always great.
  19. Zombie fad? I'm pretty sure people have liked zombies and zombie movies/television shows for a good number of years now...
  20. So the same material won't be as funny because he won't be everyone's iconic rebel? That's kind of silly. I'm saying that I'm afraid he might lose his potency because he is allowed to do whatever he wants. He was funny and gained his popularity because he pushed the boundaries of late night talk shows. Think of other hosts: Leno, Letterman, Carson. All those guys are pretty straight-laced compared to how wacky Conan is. I just have a feeling we may get a little bit of sensory overload now that he doesn't have a major network to answer to.
  21. I doubt that's the last we'll see of him. Remember the guy knocked over that huge thing of tools (which included the hacksaw) when he was running back? I'll betcha it was within reach.
  22. My only fear is that TBS is going to give him free reign to basically do whatever he wants on the show whereas I'm sure with NBC he was much more restricted. Part of Conan's success, in my opinion, was that he pushed the boundaries (in a wacky way, not in an obscene way) and if there are no boundaries to push with TBS, I don't think it will be as funny. But I love Conan and I'm sure he'll do great. I'm looking forward to tonight's show.
  23. Even so, my original point...is that really a valid enough argument for gun ownership? That your family may someday be in a life threatening situation? Come on...
