Woah, I didn't know that even the Pagans had rabbits hiding colored eggs as one of their holidays! I need to read up on my pagan lore some more. :P (Actually, it does coincide with an Ancient Celtic holiday, I think - Beltaine, I believe it was, the one in the spring. But they didn't have rabbits in it either, as far as I know.)

Distinction Between Real Life And Runescape #1: -A high score at Runescape will not get you the ladies. A high score at life will. :wink:

Sleep in a different room, or move into a different room, and try again. See if it shakes there. Or move your equipment somewhere else in your room and see if that still happens. Or check up on your foundations and woodwork. If you have that old a house, something could be messed up and it's probably unsafe. Just experiment, changing one variable at a time and noting the results. I'm not going to rule out the possibility of something supernatural entirely, but I don't think that's what's going on here. I wouldn't think the supernatural world would work like that. (Or you could try a phsycic. (Damn, how do you spell that?) I'm sure they'd love to have your money so they can read tarot cards and go on about cosmic harmonies and disruptive vibrations. The you can waste even more money on a priest so he can go "Ahhhhhmmmmm" and make the sign of the cross and pour holy water everywhere.)

Hitler used the Bible to justify the Holocaust and his persecution of Jews, also. Pope Innocent the Something-th, I think fourth, used the Bible to justify the Inquisition, and Pope Urban II used it to justify the Crusades. The Ku Klux Klan used it to support their ideals of killing people who weren't straight white Protestants. The Bible can be used to try to justify a lot of immoral or evil actions. George Bush invading Iraq because of the Bible doesn't surprise me - a lot of people in history who were smarter than him or more educated about religion than him have done it as well.

I might be able to take it, I dunno. Like has been said, it depends if all our technology still works, with no one left to maintain it... Another question - are there bodies everywhere? When the people just died, did they vanish, or did their bodies get left behind? If the bodies are still there, I could take tissue from one of them if I acted fast enough - test tube babies or clones or something. Failing that, I'd get away from the dead bodies as fast as possible (I mean think of it, the streets would be full of them... :-X ) and go live alone in nature as long as I could...just enjoying life as much as is possible, while watching Mother Nature slowly reclaim what is her own. I think either monkeys or ants would then become the next dominant species. Who knows.

Not like it matters, but wasn't the real reason that he was crucified for treason? Due to preaching about "My father's kingdom", (aka the kingdom of god, or heaven), he was crucified for treason against the Romans, who thought he was talking of loyalty to another country, or planning to revolt, or insubordination to the Roman Empire. That's what my history teacher said, at least.

That's one athiests try to use do disprove God's omnipotence... One answer I like, to, "Can God make a rock so heavy He cannot lift it?", was, "Yes. And then he could lift it." Mine is simply that God doesn't have the physical body to go around lifting rocks.

Yes, but as has been said, the "something greater" could possibly be replaced with an individual, spiritual sort of thing, as opposed to an organized religion.
