I remember when coldplay first started, they ruled back then as well.

Quite simple actually. See, Oxfam is a charity. Every year when it comes time to fill out the tax forms, they have to prove that they've 'wasted' the smallest amount of money they can (ie, they only employed people that were necessary, and used the money they got for the most impact). If they are shown not to have been a good charity, and instead used it for profit, then they lose their charity status. Not only does that mean they pay an awful lot of tax and fines, but they can be done for fraud and go to prision. So they really are a charity. As to going to Edinborough, I was going, booked my place and everything. Then I found out that a camp I'm being a leader on has it's training day on that day, so I have to go to that instead. Especially as I'm running one of the departments. So Ii'm sending 6 of my friends in my place ;) Maybe a small amount of rich/poor divide is necessary in a capitalist society, but a world where a parking meter earns more per day than 70% of the people on this earth? That's just a little bit unfair. How would you like it if you were part of that 70%? Would you appreciate being told "Sorry about forcing you to live in squalor and earn absolutely nothing for backbreaking labour, but your poverty is necessary so that I can live a good, long, happy life and feel better about myself because I earn more in a day than you will earn in a lifetime." Something tells me that's just not gonna cut it. England happens to be head of the G8 this year, and Blair and Brown already promised that Africa, AIDs and Climate Change would be the three topics under discussion. I was there when he made the announcement. Most of the European leaders have agreed. The trick will be persuading the USA and China to agree as well. But something tells me that if China refuses (which I think they might), then Bush will agree with Blair simply because 'He can't agree with those damn communists!' And Merc, I'm guessing this is because you didn't get Live 8 tickets? How many times did you send off? One of my friends got a pair after only sending off once. Unfortunately he's decided to take his girlfriend. So me and my friend are gonna kill them both and take their tickets ;)

When I can get an Xbox for ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã50, which I expect to be before Christmas, I'm getting Halo 1 and 2, Fable, and Ninja Gaiden. Good old second hand seconds in GAME ;)

I'm thinking of going to a store and buying a pack of cigarettes just so when they look at me suspiciously and ask fro an ID and can show it to them :P p.s. cigarettes = bad I did that with alchohol on my 18th birthday. Only problem was, the pub that I went to had got so used to me showing them a fake ID they didn't ask me to show it! And I wanted to show off that I'd fooled them for the past 2 years!

It's very hard trying to find a Ford Fiesta in amongst the SUVs that populate the car parks around here. Honestly, what is the point of an SUV for the school run? Or taking your 6 year old to get a hair cut? And why are the only accidents I've ever had because of SUV drivers who didn't realise their car was so big, so they ploughed right into me? Stupid SUVs, they ruin my life.

Both Merciful and I live in England, where the age of consent is 16. So we can make out with them as long as they're over 16. Which is good, as the girl I have my eyes on turned 16 5 months ago.

I love debates. First good times on a forum since Ferion. On General: Droolman, Trixstar, y2g, and Bubsa. largely coz they're the most 'prolific' posters. barely a single topic goes by without at least one posting. And I see Bubsa has already made his mark here ;) Smavey and the TET will always spring to mind. Of course, who could forget the OOC! I still want to become a member of that, I just haven't got around to picking the cabbage yet... Bad thought though, r2-pleseant. Although every post he makes in General P2P is followed by a nice tag team of me and Y2G flaming every idea he's ever had. Largely because they're all to manipulate prices, or they weren't his idea in the first place.

I live in England, so I didn't feel a thing. Sound's like fun. In a not so fun, life threatening sort of way. If my knowledge of movies is correct, cut as much power as you dare (TV or radio would be useful to hear the news), and hide under doorways as soon as you feel the tremor. The only girls I know who look good in the would look good if they were wearing a dead sheep, with it's entrails hanging around their necks. Translation: they would look good in anything. Ug boots are just like any other fashion: stupid, impractical, and abandoned 3 months later. Like those weird ponchos girls wore. On some it looked really good, others it looked crap. Then it went out of fashion, and now the girls who looked good in them won't wear them anymore. Which makes me sad. not entirely sure what I'm on about there.

I had that last summer. I was on a trip in Thailand with World Challenge (an adventure type holiday type thing). Because we were travelling in Malaria areas, we were taking anti-malarial pills. The one I was taking was Doxycycline. A side effect of that is that your skin is more sensitive to the sun. and I was a dumnass and did the same as you. My entire neck and shoulders, raw like a lobster. I got blisters the size of my palm when they started peeling as well. Excruciatingly painful.

But the climate change that's happening/will happen is man made, and the temperature increase/decrease (depending on the area of the world. Yes, some places are getting colder, it's to do with sea currents) is a lot faster than the last 2 previous ice ages (the ones we know about the most). No one knows if this is going to make a difference, but there's a fairly large chance that it will. Another point about ice ages is that only around 5% of the species that exist at the start of an ice age still exist by the end of it. Many species become extinct while new ones are created to cope. If we go into an ice age with our current human bodies, we will become extinct. And the temperature change is too fast for evolution to adapt. With the exception of the nuclear waste left behind. No one is entirely sure how long it will take for the waste to become safe, and current laws on how to store it are causing more harm than good. No, that would be the Armish. Enviromentalists don't want to die, and we don't want our children/grandchildren to die. I saw a great Simpson's episode yesterday, and it seems to sum up the opinion of today's masses: "Children are the future, but I'm here TODAY!" Being selfish today will only hurt people in the long run. At the moment we use more energy creating the hydrogen fuel than we gain from using it, so it's a waste of energy and money. No government (with the possible exception of Japan - and they use a fairly different commercial system) is investing in it in any amount. The only way it will work is if we crack 'cold fusion', and we're a LOT longer than 10 years away from that. Actually, the Oil in the North Sea is expected to run out in 30 years, unless we find more. Which at the moment is unlikely. We don't know about OPEC countries, because they refuse to release the statistics. As for coal, I've heard everything from 250 years to 70 years, so I am not sure which to believe. The point stand though: In approximately 3 generations we will have run out of fossil fuels, forcing us to go back to "what the environmentalists really want" - "candles and horse drawn carriages". So actually, saving energy now will prevent us from going back to candles and horse drawn carriages. Either 70% or 90% of the Earth is covered by water (I can't remember which is the Earth and which is the human body, but I think the body is 70% and the Earth is 90%). Of that percentage, I think around 10-20% is in shallow water, at a fair distance away from land. The sea also is fairly flat. And if you've been on a boat out to sea you will know there's a lot of wind there. That sort of area is perfect for wind farms. All of those areas are nature reserves arn't they? Yay! Lets creat mutant wolves! I'm sure that will help solve out energy problems! Finally, a fairly balanced report. This is the reason why people do not want nuclear power. At the moment the power stations have to be relatively close to where they supply the power, or it becomes inefficient. And people do not want increased risk of cancer (look at the mobile phone tower debacle we're having in the UK) near where they live. At the moment, Nuclear power will not happen, at least on the scale necessary to remove our dependance on oil. But that's within the century. Before that happen's we may well have run out of oil, crashing our economies. Which means there'll be no money to fund the cold fusion research. So we won't get cold fusion in the end. No one can ignore the fact that we are facing a crisis. Maybe not in the next 20 years, but soon. I'd guess that most people here will be in their 30s or 40s by the time it hits. I'm sure we'll be worrying about our children's future, how are we going to care for them after we've gone? Why did we make such a mess and leave innocents to clean up? By the time the crisis hits, we're going to regret the way we live now.

Why do I have the strangest feeling that if rares were allowed to grow in price of their own accord, and not manipulated and forced up, then they'd still be around the prices when I first joined? Santa hats were roughly 200k when I first started, now they're millions, thats about a 1000% increase. Santa's arn't rare enough for that to be a realistic price.

No matter the verdict, he was screwed from the start. Financially, he's [insered cuss word here]ed, and his reputation is ruined. Personally, I think it was all because of Macalay Culkin. He said that Micheal didn't do anything to him, and the jury have fond memories of Home Alone, and they believed him. So Micheal got off (take from that statement what you will :twisted: ) Honestly, I don't think Jackson did do it. I think he's a bit sick and twisted, and in some sort of weird psycho regression has reverted to being a child. And a white child at that. He doesn't see anything wrong with sleeping in the same bed as children because normal children sleep in the same bed, and he thinks he's a child. I think jackson is a weirdo that needs his head examined, lots of drugs, and his face put back together, but I don't think he's a kiddie-fiddler. On a side note about his face, if he doesn't shave, then his nose goes hairy. When they did a nose job on him at some point, they stretched the skin from him upper lip to cover his nose. So he grows a mustache on his nose :lol:

Couldn't have guessed that! :lol: Rock/punk/heavy, what ever takes my fancy. I'm getting into some rap in the form of 29th Chapter as well (random gospel rappers from london, they're very good). Favourite bands are probably, in rough order: Delirious? Cauterize Third day Seether (before amy lee got involved. I hate her) Hillsong United NOFX/Steve Vai/Racer X (all around the same level) and then people who are good, but not quite perfect: Coldplay (sorry messey), Maroon 5, Keane etc.

I'm sure it will enter my PC eventually, probably via my brothers birthday on thurs.

The only one at E3 that didn't cheat and lie was Nintendo, but that might have been because they didn't annouce much. Although the revolution that Iwata held up was just an empty case. But that's to be expected - you don't want to risk dropping and breaking an expensive prototype.

I wonder all the time if Tupac would have nearly the popularity he has now if he hadn't died. I barely hear of him except 'R.I.P. tupac' comments, so I doubt I would hear anything whatsoever of him if it was just his music. Similarly, I'm not going near Dark_Tigra's post, except to say that what you said will soon be illegal in Britain now ;) And who is Kelly Clarkson?

Can I just say that MS did the same thing that Sony did. The demos shown at E3 were run on 2 Mac G5s (irony there?), because they hadn't made a finished version of the 360 that looked good enough to display. They'd made the technology, and they'd made the case, they just hadn't put them together yet. For those complaining about genres going stale - you haven't seen the Revolution or the DS. There's a reason why nintendo haven't announced that the controller will look like, and there's a reason why they called it Revolution. It's gonna be sweet. My final point: Whoever it was that said that eventually MS will be the only thing keeping America's economy afloat: That and the arms industry.

I can answer about 3 of them. Despite owning OOT, MM, and WW, I haven't completed any of them :oops: I always get bored around 50% - 75% through. Then I start again about 3 months later, and get bored again. Stupid attention span.
