  1. All but Zurial have the Naruto feel to me.
  2. To waste your time. Also try to keep their [Jagex] word of completing old quest lines instead of starting new ones. Do you want a Runescape with no quest no story lines or plots??? Stop complaining about quest, if you feel like you wasted time doing a quest then the answer is simple. DON'T DO IT! That way you don't have to come here and [female dog] about it and waste even further time posting something that wasted your time. Ah see you assume too much which in the end makes you look like a [donkey]. This quest, after being built up quite heavily had my hopes up. With about a month passing since the Choas Elemental hinting at this quest (a sequal to an older quest line that I actually find quite entertaining), I had been waiting on this quest for a good bit. Heck I even delayed coming into work so that I might finish it when it came out. When doing the quest it felt as though it was filler and not really a serious quest. I felt let down and that I had in fact wasted my time. Having my hopes shot down probably did not help matters as the more recent quests have all been fillers, with maybe the exception of The Chosen Commander. I am quite the quest buff, that is what I really enjoy about Runescape and just as it seems most players are content afk training slayer/combat, I instead enjoy problem solving and something that actually takes effort. Those are the things about quests that make this game fun. Though Hunt for Red Raktuber had it's share of puzzles, they seemed easy almost as if they had been made for the same afk players I described above. Now I understand that the game has to have a middle ground but in the grand scheme of things I feel as though this quest was really a waste of time. Now I would like to respond to the rest of your comments. You do not know me, you know nothing about my gaming habits nor my general view of Runescape. I rarely complain about the game as I feel they [read] are doing a pretty good job. I however feel as though the new way of updating allows for more quality updates and yet so far I am seeing the same level of depth that they had when they did updates every week like clockwork. If that continues to be the case I would say that I would prefer the higher frequnecy of mediocre things to do. With all that being said, my comment of it being a waste of time was not me complaining, rather stating my opinion. If that is a problem for you, it seems you need to get a grip. Message boards, after all are for exactly that, giving opinions.
  3. the PVP armor sets are very reminiscent of Naruto, or am I the only grown person that actually watches that :S
  4. They, at one time were graphically just a much smaller lesser demon, which was a smaller greater demon. So one could speculate that they are from the same species and this have an obsession with collecting nick-knacks.
  5. OOHHHH I am sorry for being a jerk then, I can PM you the basics if you would like. I think that sharing plot lines is frowned upon on the first day.
  6. I see no need to do so. If I want to play 23 hours everyday, that should be my choice and not the choice of the game developer. The time that I play Runescape is such that I can get away from things going on in my real life; my job, my friends, girls - it is an opportunity to relax and have nothing pressing going on. If I was limited on how much I could play I am sure that my leisure activity could be transfered to another game. Now I am not saying that I play more than 8 hours a day as the only time that ever happened was when a friend raced me to 99 fletching, but I should be able to play as much or as little as I would want to.
  7. I'm sorry that was uncalled for and unhelpful. Just was looking for more out of this quest as they are my favorite thing about Runescape. But it is not long. You could knock it out quite quickly. It was eh to be honest.
  8. To waste your time. Also try to keep their [Jagex] word of completing old quest lines instead of starting new ones.
  9. Mining pure essense at level 30, walking every trip nets about 100k per hour. So if you run, have a higher mining level, and use pouches you could make at least a little more. Maybe not the best money maker but consistent.
  10. If pumpkins were equippable, then they would have a higher price tag. This is the reason that party hats carry such hefty price tags.
  11. I know that there are people that say the time it takes to get the set is better used woodcutting because in the time it takes to get a full set of Lumberjack, you can potentially gain the exp you would get by having the set. That being said, I think that the Lumberjack set is under rated. The exp boosts may not make woodcutting that much faster nor make up for the time that it took to collect the set but it helps. And getting the set is much more fun than cutting trees. The bonus exp is just a well... bonus. Besides the rewards from temple trekking are pretty decent.
  12. Well this player has 99 woodcutting, perhaps he achieved this goal by cutting mage logs instead of willow or yew from 85. I mean that is the same thing as catching shark instead of monks.
  13. yeah superheat method does not work. Did some numbers.
  14. NOTE: I have no idea on costs. With the above in mind, I have compiles some things that may help. 1) Smelthing bars. Yes this is slow, has low xp rates, and could seem like a waste of time but there is profit in smelting bars. From iron to rune, smelting actually has a profit margin. On my skiller I have found that I can smelt iron and keep half of the bars that I smelt at no cost. Essentially giving me 1 bar for every 2 made. Not insane rates but could help. Blast Furnace would make this even more useful if you can stomach it. 2) Stealing Creation hammers. For any smithing done, using a SC hammer makes it even better. Halfing costs is never a bad thing and the minigame is fun to boot. I highly reccommend using them if you are wanting to save money and have high level smithing goals. 3) Bolts, arrows, knives. They are slower than platebodies but result in the same experience overall but can break even or even make profit. These are often mde to offset costs of smithing 4) Ores-Superheat Ore-Bars-platebodies-High Alchemy. Using this method has been considered one of the better ways to get smithing experience. I have not kept up with costs but buying the ores and nature runes can make this process profitable. Check into costs and see if it still can work for you. Eh hope that helps.
  15. Since values of are very difficult to predict from day to day much less year to year, I would say that your best bet would be to invest in rares as no new rares are entering the game, they will always be rare. Over time rare becomes even more rare as people quit, die, get banned. As a side note, I would fill your kingdom completely before you so that when you get back you can get the max out of your kingdom ;P Even with not building % back up I think you still might do alright :P
  16. I stand corrected. I am sorry, it has been a while since I have done this. I will have to test and get back to you with my results.
  17. Use Truthscape's guide to cannoning Ice trolls. It is pretty steady exp as well as minimal cost. I would google it but am too lazy, sorry.
  18. Barbarian fishing, thought to be some of the fastest fishing xp is around 35k/hour at 70 and 55k/hour at 99. I am almost certain of that.
  19. The shark and swordfish that my summons get for me make them worth my while. Extra profit from fly fishing is worth a slighly smaller xp/hour ratio. I still think that your number is off a little. 50K seems way too high.
  20. I usually take 1500 diamonds and end up with about 900 left over. 2k should be plenty.
  21. woah? At level 76? I am in the 80s and do not hit 50k.... what am I doing wrong?
  22. Do it once (or however many times it takes you to get to Jad). Do not make your goal to kill Jad, just get used to him (if you kill him awesome but if not do not worry about it). Try to make it to the healers and familarize yourself with manipulating them. Knowledge is power and once you get to know Jad, the fight caves are simple. I think that the important thing to try to remember is that you will not do it on the first try. I mean it is possible but getting to Jad and failing can crush the spirit as it did me. After that I neglected to try again for a while. If I had braced myself for failure it might have helped. Then again I hope you can do it the first time. Using a youtube video to time the prayers is useful as well. And most importantly, I would just use range + prayer gear. Makes it pretty easy.
  23. Players use vengeance for Shilo Village quest all the time. It should work but to be honest, I am not sure why recoils did not work last time. I can pot to 94 mage if you want to try when i get off.
  24. Not sure of your levels in other skills but as level 60+ is your goal I will assume you are a low to mid leveled in all stats. With this in mind, complete the Lumbridge Diary for the Ring. That teleport is amazing for farming. Also complete Ghost Ahoy for the ectophial (I think that is right but if not complete the quest that gives you the ectophial :P - This is essential for farming in the east. I hope you can teleport to Camelot as that is a fairly low magic leveled. If not use tablets. Same with Ardy. Fairy Ring B L R might be an alternative if you have access to those. This gives you all allotments fairly quickly. 62 is a fairly low goal in the grand scheme of things so trees are not necessary but very useful. In the very least grow Oaks or willows. Grow the best herb you can in each herb patch, tomatoes in the allotments (they are cheap and not much is lost by growing them, heck use them as payment for trees), and grow limps in the flower patch. USE SUPERCOMPOST ALWAYS. Ahrein on Catherby docks sells 40 pineapples a day for 2 gp each (80 gold total). Using those for compst should give you plenty of compost. EVEN IF YOU PAY FOR THE TREE TO BE GROWN USE SUPERCOMPOST, the extra exp adds up. This is a very basic outline so adding in what you want can possibly help you out. Add in some bushes if you want, and fruit trees can do well. Hope this helps and I will be glad to help if I can.
