Not years, just 3 months top. Could be less if he played more and caught more fish. Could be a lot less if he did monkfish or fly fishing. If doing monks, you make some money but not as much as sharks. Well I was really going for shock value by using an arbitrary number. My point was and is DO NOT FISH SHARK. Just because they sell for more does not validate fishing them. If you can catch 3 monks to one shark (which is easy to do) you make more money than sharks.

And something else to look at is that the poster above me gave you a figure of 7o so odd days for the level and fly fishing could be done in 36 leaving you another 35+ days to make cash. I know that it can be hard to see the point here but by fly fishing you save half of the time and have tons of time to make back the cash that you missed out on by not fishing shark. And also there is no way you will get 121 shark/hour imo. I am 83 ish fishing and do not get 121 shark a hour.

Oh heck nevermind, you plan on fishing shark...... yeah that is going to take years. Shark are very slow to catch... Fish monks instead, better exp ratios and cash is better as you will catch more fish.

Since you are playing that many hours a day, time each hour and make notes of the exp that you get per hour. Do that over several hours, perhaps one day time 5 hours. Take the total amount of exp gained and divide it by the hours you played. This gives you exp per hour. Obviously this will diminish over time but for a high balled number take that figure and divide it by how much experience you have left until 95 fishing. That will give you a better idea than the numbers that we give you. However, I took your starting figure of 76 and found that you need 8.771.558 more exp for 95. Giving a very conservative number of 35k per hour when fly fishing in Shilo you will have to fish for 251 hours. Using a figure of 40k results in 219 hours. And lastly using an unreasonable figure of 50k you are looking at 176 hours. taking the average of these numbers gives 215 hours and for the sake of argument, let us assume that is the correct number of hours. Knowing that you play 6-8 hours a day, IF you can keep that paces then you are looking at 26-36 days fishing. MY ADVICE: Use a fishing familar. Ideally a granite lobster would be the one that you use but the Ibis and granite crab offer awesome benefits. Do not neglect to use them, they more than pay for themselves in fish that they catch. NOTE: Exp rates are those of typically Shilo fishing crossing into heavy rod fishing to use as a basis for the calculations. Chances are these numbers are ideal and that is something you might want to think about.
  5. nope. sorry
  6. While I understand that this is a year of upgrading, I am too beggining to lose interest in Runescape. I know that many times this sentiment will be met with "OMG LYKE JUST QUIT!!!!" but I have no interest in quitting. I enjoy the game as a whole, I am just beginning to find it hard to find things to do. This year has had very few things that I find interesting. I own a quest cape (something I really enjoy), all my stats are 70+ (mining being an exception), have 99 crafting as well as a few other 99s, I have 'completed' all the miniquests, I have unlocked every area in the game, have been boss hunting, perfected farm runs, know more about this game than I do my job... pretty much completed all that it has to offer at the moment outside of grinding. PvP updates for this game are lost on me because the combat system is severely lacking anything close to skill and as such offer little excitement for me. With an upgrading year, I have seen some neat things; better banking, easier to use interfaces, and upgrades to the run system that I have to say is the best thing ever to happen in RS in my opinion. With all of these upgrades to use and nothing to use it with makes for a loss of interest. Now I know that many players are content slaying for hours on end for whatever reason but if you are AFk-ing (something I feel most slayers do) then what interest do you really have in the game? This update, while being neat, is another one that leaves me wanting. With fewer updates spread further apart and less content per update I feel that this game is loosing something that has made it great for the last 8 years of my life. And looking ahead at things like minstrils, graphical updates... at least I still have mobilising armies to look forward to....
  7. Thanks, I did not know that existed.
  8. Since I will be using Ivandis Flail the weapon is unimportant. Instead what is the best crush attack bonus I can get through armor and rings and what not.
  9. I used a tortoise myself. Having the extra space helped quite a bit for the adze.
  10. Shoot my favorite is the granite lobster. Not only does it make fishing faster, it increases profit by quite a bit.

Oh no need. As the file name shows, it is a lame joke. Just that it seems like every class of fighter in Runescape has to carry these huge items, i.e. stacks of runes, sharks, etc. while the ranger just needs arrows. Really I was going for style of art points and not humor so much. When I have a joke that I think is funny I will make another if that style was liked. A teasting of waters so to speak. Eh I tried.

  14. When I went away to college my first account, Skiwee was left to the wayside as playing Runescape nearly caused me to loss my scholarships. I quit playing and 3 years later decided that it might be fun to see how everything had changed. I came back and tried to access my account. Long story short, I went through the normal channels trying to get my password back only to be met with a response that said, "We are no longer taken requests for this account..." I had not done anything wrong and to this day have no idea what happened. Recently however I applied for the password again, on a whim and got the password back. I have come to find that the account has a legacy against it, and a more recent permanent ban. I really hope that the review thread will help me get my account back.

  16. Yes because a tormented demons flesh has melted off. (the process was described in detail if you read the books ingame). Besides has anyone at the varrock museum ever seen a dragonkin to make an exact physical replica? What quest/book was that described in? I have been painstakingly taking pictures of all quest dialogs and books, and I have not seen any mention of this. I am sure that I have access to the book and would love to read that description.
  17. Any possibility that those values may truly be the attack, range, mage, and agility levels of the beasts?
  18. They are gathering skills such as mining, hunting, runecrafting, etc. Seems like time is more important than money. I have time. :D
  19. That is a very appropriate answer.
  20. Would it be in bad form to say that I am looking for 7 other individuals to join me in a clan to participate in the skilling cup? Or how exactly does one go about that?
  21. So quickly Making money Useful New transports, maybe additions to exsisting ways, perhaps new methods. Easy to learn, Difficult to master Combat oriented to some degree Span several skills or at least have effects on other skills These are good. Idealy this thread would give an idea of what would make a skill worth having. Much the same way that summoning evolved from something no one particularly cared for to something few pass up. Thanks guys.
  22. My questions have nothing to do with whether they need to make a new skill, update exsisting skills, or any other thought along those lines. I honestly do not care. What I do care about is what players think is lacking in established skills and what makes skills worth training. If you can only add things pertaining to lack of need of new skills or updates to the old ones do not post and let this die. I was genuinely thinking that there were reasons people saw short comings in skills and that there were general ideas that could make them better. For those with suggestions, thank you.
  23. While I understand where you guys are coming from my intention is not to push the idea that we need a new skill. I after all really have no reall hopes of seeing all my planning coming to fruitition. I am more interested in what makes a skill good. Why is slayer liked over 'x' skill or what could make 'x' skill better? What would you like to see included into Runescape to make it better?
  24. I for some time now have been working on a skill that I think offers a wide variety of gameplay to Runescape. It is painstaking to create balance in experience rates but I am very through in things that I do, probably to a fault. Anyway I was wondering what aspects of gameplay you might want to see in a new skill. For istance, slayer is a popular skill as it stands right now. Why is that so? What about that skill entices players to fall prey to it's charm? How could these aspects be translated into another skill in Runescape. I do not want suggestions like "OMG SAILING OMG FTW!11!!1!!!SHIFT@22!1!1" because honestly that isn't my point. If sailing is interesting to you, post what you think will be an engaging aspect of a skill like that. Firemaking is a skill that no one really likes so obviously a skill such as firemaking would not be ideal to replicate. Instead what ideas would be awesome if they were implimented into a new skill. And yes, I plan on gleaning some ideas for the skill that I am designing, with the poster's permission of course.
