Whatever you think the count of yellow party hats is, do it +1 because I got one too :D

I used to get many maze and mime random events in 2005, always while fighting. In 2006, I never get one while fighting. Has the way to get those events changed? Has the frequency of those events been reduced?

Construction, Oaks - another autoing fiasco about to happen?
Lode replied to Doomster's topic in General Discussion
The last thing I hope is that they'll remove the oaks from f2p -
I once sold a pestle&mortar for 10k And a law rune for 5k Both times the buyer was desperate =) The law rune was was pretty funny, there were 3 people in the bank, and the guy was going like this: buying law rune 1k buying law rune 1k buying law rune 2k buying law rune 3k buying law rune 4k buying law rune 5k *me thinks 5k will do and sells the law rune*

I was just trying to avoid this kind of outbursts with this thread. -
Construction, Oaks - another autoing fiasco about to happen?
Lode replied to Doomster's topic in General Discussion
I see some autoers, but not nearly as much as before the update... I hope it stays this way. -
I've had a similar dream as well, it involved party hats, and it ended bad somehow but I don't really remember everything. I think having Runescape dreams is just a normal part of the process of being a Runescape player.

Same here -
No, no, it was with only 1 character that I did it, it wasn't by making two accounts interact, I only had 1 account in 2002.

Disarming some comments against f2pers who want an update
Lode replied to Lode's topic in General Discussion
I'd make wilderness capes and the future clan support for both f2p and p2p, because the f2p wilderness is an addition to pking for members too, and members who make a clan might also want f2p people to join their clan. At least, if clan support were something as simple as just a tag that automatically appears next to your name. If I were Andrew Gower, I'd find the bank space limitation just a pure genious way to let people go p2p  -
I remember it very well, in 2002 I read a quest guide of the Shield of Arrav quest, and it said you needed a partner to do it, but there was a special way to do it alone. I followed these special steps and finished the quest without ever needing a partner. I'm not sure if this was a tip.it guide or not. Anyway, I looked at the tip.it guide for the Shield of Arrav quest for RS Classic, and it didn't mention anything about how to do it alone. I searched a lot with google, and didn't find a single shield of arrav quest guide that mentioned how to do it alone. So all those old guides who told about this are gone. If anyone played Runescape more than 4 years ago, and also remembers about this, I have some questions: -How exactly was this done? I forgot how it was done. -Do you have an old quest guide that explained how to do this somewhere on your HD? If so please copypaste the text here. -Was this possibility to do it alone removed in RS Classic already, or only in RS2? -Is there still a way in RS2 to do it alone? Thanks!

You'll come back, I'm sure, maybe not now, but later.

Sometimes in a post a f2per will say that he wants this or that update. While such question isn't necessarily justified, many of the comments people reply to it are getting old and some are just false. I'll here put my opinion on different comments I've seen: This is a very lame and narrow minded comment. Some people really can't afford it. Are you going to laugh at those people with this comment yeah? But much more common is people who can afford the money, but who have no way to pay it. You need a credit card or some other way (like the more expensive paybycash) to get the money to Jagex. That isn't as easy for everyone. Then there are also children whose parents forbid them to get members. You have to realize that, even if it seems like "just 5 easy bucks a month" for you, it isn't like this for everyone, for different possible reasons. I admit this one is true. It's been posted in every single thread about f2p updates and I think it should be common knowledge by now. f2p wasn't a demo before p2p came out, but now it is, and the best business strategy is to give f2p the exact amount of features to attract enough people to Runescape in generan and make them p2p. If f2p hasn't got enough features, not much people will ever bother making a Runescape account, and every f2p Runescape account is a potential future p2p customer. If p2p has got too much features, lots of people will sign up a Runescape account, but less of them will become p2p customer. So the trick is to find the optimum, that will create the most p2p customers. That means, not too much, not too few, f2p features. I don't think me, nor Jagex, can know where this optimum is, but in the current situation, no matter how sad I find this news, I think there are more f2p features than needed. But Jagex isn't only a company that makes money, they're still people with honor too so they know they can't take away f2p features. Except for that tree on Karamja  People are allowed to complain about free services that they use just as much as on paying services. Some services are free and have many users, those users are allowed to complain. They're also allowed to ask for what they want. That doesn't mean they'll get it, but they can ask. Sometimes asking can even have an effect. There are many free things in the world. If people wouldn't be allowed to tell what they think about them, many of those free things could be worse than they were supposed to be. While this is true, such a comment is pretty harsh in my opinion. Some people can't afford it, don't be rude against them. Sometimes there are updates happen to f2p to favor p2p. Some changes to the f2p economy affect the p2p one. Some f2p features are actually a part that's used by members too, for example f2p PKing. Asking for a feature isn't whining. ---- Justified comments against asking for f2p updates in my opinion are: -It has no effect anyway so don't clutter the forums with it -If the post in question contains anti-jagex comments while wanting an f2p update

No, I wouldn't report them if they don't harm me. If they harm me I'd report them. If they share the fact that they do this or that thing against the rules, I'd just say "ok, I myself don't break the rules though" but I wouldn't report them.

Oh I've played KoL for a while back in 2004, I got a bit bored of it and quit after a while though. The last thing I remember doing was finishing this quest where you get a meat car and where you can go on a vacation. I was also in some clan but I don't remember which one. I was a saucemaker :)

Ok. I admit it. I do care. Because I thought the topic was promising and would be about an intresting discussion about what causes people to scam. Instead I found a confusing thread in semi-English, and further in the thread some guy (you) started to insult people and this forum. You also claim that "we know nothing about rsc" if we comment on how confusing the thread is, while you have nothing to back this up as you don't seem to know how some of the people who posted here were playing Runescape before RS2 was out. Furthermore, posting about breaking the rules is pretty borderline on this forum. If you want to say that this forum is full of nerds, then feel free to do so but be prepared to be flamed, since the fact that you post this doesn't really make you a cool person to be honest, and certainly doesn't help to improve your social life and image that you're trying to get. Trying to type correct English could also help improving your real life by the way, moreso than posting what you think about the people on some forum.

We don't care. Now where have those buttons to report posts gone?

I really like noob conversations to read for some enjoyment if I'm bored, so I hope this thread will survive without getting closed! I don't have any recent noob convo's available at the moment but if this thread gets successful and I went through some I'll post them for sure.
