  1. Granite mining always. Seeing how you already know about the humidify waterskins style, I guess there really isn't much to talk about. The water tiara is a more expensive route if you choose that path.
  2. In my entire experience of shark fishing, I've only gotten one big shark. Of course, I stopped fishing sharks afterwards because I only fish for trophies now LOL. Flyfishing/barbarian flyfishing is way faster and food is cheap to buy in the GE.
  3. Just because someone else has one, it shouldn't stop you from making your own. In my experience, I haven't run into one of those yet. Anyhow I encourage you to do it but you and those you rank must do alot of heavy promoting at the GE in certain worlds. Some worlds I suggest are minigame and trade worlds.
  4. Yes it really is awesome. This topic reminds me of a song. It goes something "lifestylesssssss of the rich and the famousssss... you're always complaininnnn always complainniinnnnnn... if money!!!! if that's your problem," blah blah blah.
  5. Another alternative is training melee in Soul Wars and using 100 zeal packages on your magic levels. Saves you alot of money.
  6. I'd have to vote on stuffing it in your house. But it's up to you. Are you a Pokemon maniac or are you a Sim City completionist. (Actually pretty bad examples oh well)
  7. Dharoks is a great set to use in minor sized Soul Wars worlds. Just don't use it in W44 Soul Wars prime or you will be piled. It did lose alot of it's potential after they buffed up the Avatar but you can still have your lols when you hit 44-60-65 in a row on a person who is spam healing.
  8. Farming is basically the skill for people who have busy lives. That and Manage Thy Kingdom. But yes, it takes more effort to get 99 firemaking over a 99 melee combat skill.
  9. That's a tough question. Willows = less exp but may save time through banking (Barbarian Assault/Draynor Village) Teak= more exp but waste time burning/dropping. From what I've known, I've seen power cutters in both barbarian assault and at ape atoll. If I had to vote, I'd say teaks only because I like the color of the logs (which is totally irrelevant to the argument haha).
  10. Teaks at Ape Atoll. Try to hire a burner as well. Otherwise, you'd have to burn/drop those logs. Get your hands on a Dragon Axe but if you have 92 firemaking, Inferno Adze is better. I got my adze at 87 fm which is the lowest level you can get it. It involves spicy stew and good planning.
  11. If you do your kingdom management and cannonable slayer tasks, you will end up plenty of herbseeds. The best herbseeds to profit from are Toadflax, Ranaar, and Snapdragon. For some reason Snapdragon seeds are super rare. I usually get those only from God Wars Dungeon Drops.
  12. Any 99 is an achievement. I have 99s but I don't have those particular 99s. Anyhow, even if they are "cheap", it takes a considerate amount of time to click through to get to those levels. I also think the emotes exhibited by those capes are quite nice. Cooking= the longest cape emote timewise. Fletching= Making a weapon is awesome. Firemaking= Fireballs are tight.
  13. In my eyes, your stats are good to go. Rune Crossbow and broad bolts make Jad easy. I'm sure future updates will bring forth stronger weapons that will make Jad a piece of cake. You can find guides in this site and on Youtube. I will say that it is crucial to have 2/3 to 3/4 of your inventory as prayer/super restore potions. ...I do have a video where I try to smack jad with a carrot and a chicken suit. It's not really a guide but you can see what kind of attacks it does. Most people usually fail their first attempts when the HEALERS come out as Jad is halfway dead. I happened to die in that video at that point LOL. Link to my videos are in my signature. Check under the "Runescape Amusement" playlist category.
  14. When hunting for level 3 clues, just stick to Duradel tasks and a Ring of Wealth. I get clues at roughly 1-3 per slayer task and it helps you multitask those slayer levels up. Oh and I don't believe in the "so and so monster drops more clues often than others" myths.
  15. Haha! This is one of my favorite threads in this forum! Here is how I am different in chronological order: 1) My funding never came from Green Dragons. 2) Obsidian sucks. 3) Whips are better than Godswords except in certain situations. 4) I came from many different gaming backgrounds and when it comes to builds, Defense owns all. If this was a "twitch" game, defense wouldn't be as necessary since you can move out your opponents way. Still, Defense is useful to multitask and repel groups unlike attack stats in melee/range/mage. 5) By the time, experiments came out, I was already pretty high leveled. I did check them out before and they were too crowded to be even worth it. 6) Hitting often with Verac is better than hitting high with Dharok. 7) I never thought I'd get a 99 but now I have. The only 99s worth getting are combat related. Someday I aspire for the construction cape though. 8) I never really liked GWD until I started soloing saradomin. You will RARELY find me in bandos and their *shudder* 6+ hour long trips. 9) I like quests. 10) I read updates and I read the forums for feedback. I also check on the bugfix thread too. 11) I'm usually defending Jagex in the Rants forums since many rants are not thought out in the world perspective. Rarely, I find a rant that justifies a support. 12) I've done nearly every minigame but I wish more people played Trouble brewing. 13) I do train other skills but only for quests. Here is where I am similar to Joe: 1) Granite body is ftw! Seriously, if you aren't pushing barrows, this is good armor. It's stats are comparable to a Dragon chainbody but with hardly any cost. 2) Whip is ftw only if coupled with a dfs or rune defender. 3) I'd admit, I have done quests only to pass them for the rewards. But if I do a quest on the day they were released, I can remember storylines quite well. It's only those bulk loads of quests I save up from going on a f2p hiatus that pass my mind. I think it's quite funny though, an NPC asks you for prior knowledge and your character just happens to know what has happened to gielinor a year ago like it was yesterday. 4) Although I do visit other minigames, I'd have to admit I like those mentioned by your thread. I waited till I was near maxed combat before I try the high level BH crater but... I'd have to wait for the new BH to come out.
  16. People use it to stab the corporeal beast and pound the waterfiends. A good substitute is leafblade sword and rune defender. It only loses out on some Strength bonus compared to the Zamorak Spear.
  17. I don't know much about fletching but I do know that adamant bolts are always bought up due to the demand of diamond and ruby bolts. You can also just do Yew longs. I think you may even break even if you sell the longs after buying the logs but you should check into that yourself as well.
  18. No to both questions. The below information is in response to some of the replies I have read regarding Soul Wars worthiness. Soul Wars and my brief summary of the rewards: Attack: Not worth it. Salve(e)+whip dominates this. Strength: Somewhat fine since I don't want to use guthans/sarasword/d scimmy for it. Defence: Not worth it. Salve(e)+whip dominates this. HP: If you can't stand multitasking (such as controlled whip training) then yes. But honestly it's for the pures and the impatient. Magic: Worth it if you don't want to waste your real life time alching/lunar or waste tons of money barraging/bursting things. Range: Worth it if you don't want to waste your real life time kniving/cannoning or money chinchomping. Prayer: It's only worth it at the end levels but it can still be quite the money saver at 70-90. Summoning: I only buy charms if GE trends for a certain pouch goes up. Slayer: The amount is so low... I personally don't like it. But I do know of two types of people who go for this: Non-combat Skilling accounts and those 90+ slayers who would rather kill players for zeals over completing repetitive tasks. Gamble: Not worth it. For those pures who are poor I guess. Pets: Decorative purposes only. Since they upped the pet limit, why not?
  19. There are two ways of making money in PvM combat. High priced rare drops and Low priced consistent drops. If you want high priced drops, stick to slayer or God wars dungeon. Slayer is for clue scrolls and the occasional dragon drop. GWD is for the godswords, shards, etc. If you want consistent drops, choose green dragons for their hides/bones or Aviansies for their noted Adamant bars. There are multiple spots in the wilderness that are good spots ranging from east of Clan Wars to the Chaos tunnels location south of Bounty Hunter. Ever since the removal of Pking in the wilderness, it is a cake walk to survive in the wilderness now. In fact... I'd prefer if they make the entire wildy a "Clan Wars FFA Dangerous" area. Some people actually go to that portal for the lulz pking. It would make the wildy dangerous again and be a temporary solution to the RWT issue in the wilderness UNTIL they come out with the new bounty hunter update (which is rumored to encompass the entire wildy).
  20. I don't know but they might be less crowded since it has a quest requirement. Anyhow, I suggest knives or a cannon for your level of Range training. As for thieving... I honestly don't remember what is good before hitting the beautiful level in which you can do blackjack luring for massive exp. I guess you could thieve cake stalls...
  21. You know what also works great? Casting Heal other all in the middle of a crowd at the Grand Exchange. For some reason, you will always find 10+ people who don't have their health topped off.
  22. Honestly, just train with whatever you think looks cool. I assume you play on your main seriously and your pure casually. Casual= Roleplaying and thus it is meant to be enjoyed. The stabbing option can be quite handy if your fighting different monsters as well. But remember, if you pvp in f2p, you should always stick to scimitars. Even if they improved their coding, hardly anyone wears chains to justify the use of a stabbing weapon. Actually...that would be an awesome update. The day Jagex finally comes up with a code that would revolutionize attack/resistances on melee styles. Then we can see more warhammers and chainbodies being used. As of the moment, the difference is so miniscule that you're better off jumping on to the slashwagon.
  23. Actually, I've noticed this before whenever I pvp but I never bothered to confirm it with people. I can honestly say this has to be true. I remember a number of months ago when I was toying around in F2P, I went into clan wars Dangerous and fought a guy rune scimmy style. As soon as I was 1/3 health, I decided to make a run for it. He pulls out a R2H which isn't that threatening IMO, and KOs me in one shot 35! So from the 10 minutes we took hitting 0s on each other, the time he hits really hard is when I decide to run.
  24. Although I never bothered to calculate the exp gains. I just know that Soul Wars is MUCH more relaxing than Pest control is. I'd rather guard the obelisk/rubyspec the avatar 20 min per game over getting spawned out of the same ol dingy boat as I run all over the place hitting portals. That's of course not mentioning the time wasted whenever people refuse to close the gates. Being part of a Soul Wars clan is crucial but many of them have level requirements. It's not that hard to figure out which side has the "Winning factor" if you can spot the high level Deathdots once the waiting room period starts.
