  1. What? Explain more. I was near Barbarian Village, and needed a bank. Somehow the world map made me think Catherby was closest. When I got "there", it took me forever to find out where I really was. I was confused for days.
  2. LOL. That's brilliant ahah. I don't get it :? Joseph Stalin. He was a major figure in the Soviet Union. And apparently, Communists call others "comrade".
  3. Well, a situation where I knew I'd quit for good seems unlikely. Since freshman year in highschool, I've quit at least a dozen times. I'm still playing. ... So I doubt I'd sell.
  4. I apparently joined within a week of the release of the TzTok-Jad, I recently discovered. I remember hordes of soulless level 3's chopping yews.
  5. No, not sailing. Boating. There would be two sections to this skill, Boats and Ships. Boats: Can be built with the Construction skill. Boating level to use is about the construction level to make, methinks. Lv1: Log Raft. Needs: 10 logs, 3 rope. 10 Inventory slots. Restricted to rivers. Lv5: Walled Log Raft. Needs: 10 logs, 3 rope, 10 planks, 30 nails. 20 inventory slots. Range is 1 unit. Lv7: Small rowboat. Needs: 30 planks, 100 nails, 5 Swamp Paste. 5 inventory slots. Range is 5 units. Lv14: Large Raft. Needs: 15 logs, 5 rope, 20 planks, 50 nails. 40 inventory slots. Range is 2 units. Lv23: Rowboat. Needs: 50 planks, 200 nails, 25 Swamp Paste. 10 Inventory slots. Range is 8 units. Lv35: Sail raft. Needs: 20 logs, 10 rope, 20 planks, 50 nails, 1 Sailcloth. 25 inventory slots. Range is 10 units. Lv55: Sailboat. Needs: 100 planks, 500 nails, 2 Sailcloth, 50 Swamp Paste, 5 logs, 2 rope. 50 inventory slots. Needs 1 other crew member (read: willing player). Range is 25 units. The Sail Shop: Sells all items listed above (In the "needs:" section), and oars. Found at most ports. Also has a "boat exchange" where you can buy/sell boats. I'm not sure what a "unit" should be, but I think 10 units should get you to Karamja from Mudskipper Point. Most boats can be fished from if you're lucky enough to have the tools and find a shoal. If you find a shoal, you can catch fish from it. Tuna shoal: Needs level 20 fishing. 15 XP each. (Harpoon) Swordfish shoal: Needs level 40 fishing. 50 XP each. (Harpoon) Shark pack: Needs level 65 fishing. 90 XP each. (Harpoon) If in a shark pack with a raft, you will probably get attacked. Turtle shoal: Needs level 70 fishing. 40 XP each. (Big Net) Manta shoal: Needs level 80 fishing. 35 XP each. (Harpoon) You can also get seaweed, edible seaweed, and flotsam (Big Net). Flotsam can be looted for: Planks Rope Seaweed (both kinds) Oysters Logs Sailcloth Nails Caskets Random events: Storm: The higher the level, the better you chances of surviving are. Ghost Ship: An abandoned ship! What supplies might it have? Pirates: If you're defeated, you lose your boat/ship and stuff! If you win, you can loot the pirate ship for treasure (Including stuff the pirates have found in the past. Including rares that have been lost)! Arr! And to be a sailor: There are 4 kinds of ship: Fishing Trawler Merchant Ship Vessel of Exploration Warship At most docks, there'll be a cap'n waiting to hire you as a sailor. If your level is enough, you might become one yourself! On fishing trawlers, the deal is more or less the minigame, with less catastrophe, fewer rare fish (You'll get lots of tuna. Ix-nay on the ark-shays, mostly, though.), and no helpful messages on the screen ("Oh noes, the net's ripped!". No. You're going to have to check yerself. Luckily, it will happen less) Merchant ships. These have a high rate of pirate events. But, the pay is much better than on other ships. Like the trawler, but no fish. Explorer: Go to uncharted lands. Find cool new stuff. Leaks will spring now and then, like the other ships. Warship: Fight other ships. Good pay, lots of combat XP. Lots of loot from pirates, too!
  6. Some ideas I'm throwing in: Rather, different boats have different ranges: Rafts might be cheaper to make, but be restricted to, say, 20 "squares" (You know what I mean) from the shore, and 10 min on the boat, whereas a sailboat is much more expensive, but it has a range of, say, 100-200 squares. Advantages would include: Fishing: Sharks, Tuna, and Swordfish could be caught faster from a boat, and perhaps mantas and turtles might be catchable. Construction: A way to train it (building boats) that doesn't require overpriced housing. Exploring: New islands Combat: New monsters (on aforementioned islands), fighting pirates...
  7. Runescape is a MMORPG. Emphasis on the second "M". My opinion, which I will sum up: Why the Frae... how the heck is it spelled... You know, where Zamorak comes from?... would Jagex spend time on this? 1 note that is mostly unrelated to the idea as a whole: Area sounds add a new dimension into the game. While we're taking them out, why not take out other "wastes of bandwidth" like the graphics?
  8. I've been waiting all week for PK worlds. Instead we get a new payment option. Hurry up on the new worlds, Lagex!
  9. BUT the purpose of these display items w/no stats is to demonstrate your acheivements and how long you've played. Phats are a symbol of wealth. Likewise, Holiday items show how long you've played the game. Random Event awards and the like show how much you've experienced, and likewise, how long you've played the game. --- Topic idea=Fail, IMO.
  10. I classify that as epic phailure.
  11. *Goes off to reach the level for Ice Barrage+Does Desert Treasure* Win. Hey, the Party Room will be interesting...
  12. And that topic simply shares a (commonly suggested) monster name with mine. My Addy dragon and his share a few ("common" metal dragon) drops, and that's it. Plus, my suggestion has 2 new shields, a treasure hunt, and 2 new weapons. One of which I should elaborate on.
  13. Support. It's often the tiny things that make the best updates. Mostly because they're so hard to screw up.

Once you find the cache and dig in it, you will find a Dragon-hoard chest. With the Draconian Key, you can open it to find one of the following: Shield fragment-2, Bent Key, Tattered scroll 1, Tattered scroll 2, Tattered scroll 3, Tattered scroll 4, Tattered Scroll 5, Draconic Visage, Uncut dragonstone (5), Heart of the Flame, Shield Left Half (Dragon), Dragon Chainbody, Dragon Platelegs, Dragon Plateskirt, Dragon Med Helm, Dragon Full Helm, Dragon Boots, Dragon Dagger, Dragon Sword, Dragon Longsword, Dragon Mace, Dragon Battleaxe, Dragon Arrows (10-150), Dragon 2h Sword, Dragon Axe, Dragon Halberd, Dragon Flail, Dragon Spear, or (80% of the time) Worthless fragments Bent Key: With the 5 tattered scrolls, one can piece together a "Ancient Map", with a map to a hidden cache of valuables. Once you find the cache and dig in it, you will find a Dragon-hoard chest. With the Bent Key, you can open it to find one of the following: Shield fragment-3, Barrow Key, Faded scroll 1, Faded scroll 2, Faded scroll 3, Faded scroll 4, Faded Scroll 5, Draconic Visage, Uncut dragonstone (5), Heart of the Flame, Shield Left Half (Dragon), Dragon Chainbody, Dragon Platelegs, Dragon Plateskirt, Dragon Med Helm, Dragon Full Helm, Dragon Boots, Dragon Dagger, Dragon Sword, Dragon Longsword, Dragon Mace, Dragon Battleaxe, Dragon Arrows (10-150), Dragon 2h Sword, Dragon Axe, Dragon Halberd, Dragon Flail, Dragon Spear, or (70% of the time) Worthless fragments Barrow Key: With the 5 faded scrolls, one can piece together a "Mysterious Map", with a map to a hidden cache of valuables. Once you find the cache and dig in it, you will find a Dragon-hoard chest. With the Barrow Key, you can open it to find one of the following: Shield fragment-4, Draconic Visage, Uncut dragonstone (5), Heart of the Flame, Shield Left Half (Dragon), Dragon Chainbody, Dragon Platelegs, Dragon Plateskirt, Dragon Med Helm, Dragon Full Helm, Dragon Boots, Dragon Dagger, Dragon Sword, Dragon Longsword, Dragon Mace, Dragon Battleaxe, Dragon Arrows (10-150), Dragon 2h Sword, Dragon Axe, Dragon Halberd, Dragon Flail, Dragon Spear, or (60% of the time) Worthless Fragments[/hide] [hide=New Gear]If one is lucky enough to obtain all four Shield Fragments, you can piece together the Dragon Kiteshield with 95 Smithing. 00:58 00:62 00:60 -9:0 -2:58 --:55 0 0 However, with 99 Smithing, a Draconic Visage, and the Dragon-shard*, you can create the Firestorm shield from it. It needs 95 defense and 75 Strength to wield, and a Magic level of 60 to use its power. It prevents you from regenerating health over time. 000:080 000:085 000:082 -20:020 -10:082 ---:27 17 0 By applying a Heart of the Flame potion to it, it becomes a Firestorm Shield (10) Each bolt of flame from it reduces your Magic level by 5 and charges by 1 and shoots a fireball at your opponent. Unlike the Dragonfire shield, this fireball ignores all special defenses and hits like dragonfire on an armorless opponent. The Firestorm Shield acts as an Anti-Dragonfire shield. The Dragon Flail has the same stats as the Dragon Mace, but carries the speed and effect of a dagger. It cannot, however, be poisoned. The Dragon Shortsword is a >relatively< weak new dragon weapon. Stats: 56:00 37:02 -2:01 00:00 00:00 --:00 59 00 *will get explained later.[/hide] [hide=Supporters]1.Jeda45 2. daxter76[/hide] If I feel inspired, I will finish up the rest of the suggestion, including the shard. Now proceed to kill/ignore/worship this suggestion. 10/12/08: Droplist modified due to some decent points made.
  15. Wouldn't a F2P mini-boss make MORE F2Pers want to go P2P? Because then the promise of stronger bosses with rarer and cooler drops would be more interesting. I support.
  16. Dragon is the only incomplete armor set. I think that, despite the fact that they will be overpriced and weak, a DPlate and DKite would be welcome armor. Well, "welcome" is the wrong word... Addy/Rune dragons pl0x?
  17. I can see it now... Noob: Phr33 st00fz pl0x!!!1!!!!! Noob: Phr33 st00phz pl0x!!1!!1 Level 120: *Pulls out Godsword* Noob: *Finds self in Lumby* --- Also, beware of High-levels with suspicious lackage of combat gear. --- This. Will. Be. Awesome!
  18. Stupidity :lol:lol im surprised someone posted on this thread umm a skogre My account. [/bigego]
  19. *uses magic to make self fast enough to take cheese and escape unnoticed*
  20. ... you remember wondering what a carpentry skill would be like.
  21. Thats my only problem with it as well... small change that help a lot. -Haseo I agree. We only need that to be fixed and the lock/unlock options, and the bank will be hard to improve. Bank space aside, of course.
  22. you burn less food or something, there is a differnce if you cook, maybe burn less or something. Nope burning is based on your cooking level. ALL it does is you get a longer lasting fire  False, not even that. It only gets you more XP.
