  1. Perhaps a points system for returing to port, having completed your mission of moneymaking? You could gain rank when you get certain numbers of points, eventually becoming captain. Also, a "four-point" class system: North is Officer East is Explorer West is Fisher/Merchant South is Pirate. If you attack ships with a captain who is above the east-west line, your character moves south. If you attack ships below, you go north. The longer you sail without going to distant islands, the farther west, and the more islands explored, the farther east. Note, I don't mean litterally n/e/s/w, i mean figuratively. How I envision a PVP battle with ships: The Holy Ship of Saradomin Enterprise is returning to Port Sarim, with rare woods and hides, and many tales of distant lands. Not far away, a pirate captain spies the HSS Enterprise. He orders his ship, the Talon, to intercept and prepare for battle. The Talon fires cannonballs at the Enterprise, causing damage to her and granting their users XP in ranged and firemaking. The crew of the Enterprise swings on ropes, some to spar with the pirates and some to fix the hole in the ship, earning Agility and Construction XP. As more cannon are fired, (Yes, Cannon is the plural), the Enterprise takes heavy damage. Crewmen die, who will retrieve their items after respawning if their ship can survive, and the Talon crew boards her. Soon, the pirates return with dragonhides, mahogany, and gold. The Enterprise is doomed. Later, the crew of the Talon reaches port, loaded with millions of coins worth of loot. Note; RWT will remain hard with such free PVP: In order for Player 1 to get 1mil from Macro1, the macros will need to make at least like 10mill total, with all disposable tools, if player1 is on a small ship, as all of his crewmates get a share too. Also, to get to islands full of riches, and get that loot, the macros will need a high Sailing Level and a high Resource skill level. Plus, the RWTer's captain may be stripped of his ship for such a loss: More work needed to make that money. Thus, gold prices should be high enough to discourage RWTing.
  2. Well, if it was removed, where else would the spam go? Plus it's funny.
  3. Well, in an abby spectres task (I don't remember, 120ish of them I think, I got: 1 Snapdragon Seed ~10 Rannar ~20 assorted herbs better than Harralander 1 Rune Full Helm 1 Random event from which I got 2 snapdragons 2-3 Blue charms Other stuff not worth mentioning in detail. That's the best slayer task I've ever had. Although once I got 8 rannar from chaos druids, and in that trip I picked up every herb, vial, and rune I got. ...So yeah, I don't have much luck.
  4. Personally, I think a RS app would be nice. I think that (some of) the following should be in such an app: Adventurer's Log Hiscores World Map GE (Possibly with the ability to view your offers)
  5. A boss monster. I think that F2P needs a boss monster. And, to satisfy "Don't pay, don't deserve" types, I suspect that a good number of higher-levels like to boss-hunt. I bet that quite a few higher-level F2Pers might be more interested in going P2P if they got a taste of overpowered weapons and hard fights. If I'm right, the boss would be more of a tantalization for harder fights, like GWD and the Corporeal Beast, than another way that F2Pers are "spoiled". Also a quest which is hard to do below 60-80 combat (or respectively high skills), and something which you need a anti-dragon shield to fight. Maybe one or two F2P spawns for green dragons?
  6. So, uh. Here's an idea. Amulet of Vitality Examine: A beautiful diamond amulet with blurite trim. Weight: 0.00 kg Tradeable: Yes Requires: 60 DEF, 60 HP Stats: Accuracy: All +0 Defense: All +1 Strength: +0 Prayer: +0 Special Effect: Reduces damage recieved. 5% damage reduction at level 60 HP, with a .25% additional reduction with each gained level, up to a 15% reduction at level 99. It provides an additional 5% bonus if one is targeted by a damage-increasing special attack. It does not reduce damage floors, only max hits. If an attack has a stated minimum hit, it will not go under it despite the amulet. Possible other ways to reduce damage: Prayer: Body of Bronze: 15 Prayer, 2% reduction to all damage recieved from players, 3% reduction against monsters. Body of Iron: 30 Prayer, 4% reduction to all damage recieved from players, 6% reduction against monsters. Body of Steel: 50 prayer, 6% reduction to all damage recieved from players, 9% reduction against monsters. Stacks with Vitality amulet, although there is a maximum of a 20% damage reduction against players. I do not believe that Jagex will rework the combat system to make Defense reduce damage. If anything, it would be hitpoints to do so.
  7. So, essentially noobs can prosper insanely from this? Defeating the Lesser Demon Champion has little more reward than SHEEP SHEARER. Or THE RESTLESS GHOST. You get more prayer XP from 2 minuites of walking than you do from 10 of dragonslaying. This is MADNESS. And no, it is not Sparta.
  8. Balance is not always having equal amounts of good and evil. "Balance" in the Guthixian sense could be "No chaos-causing, disruptive gods", not "Equal numbers of good and evil gods" Zamorak and possibly Bandos are disruptive forces, Saradomin is because of his anti-Zamorak zealotry, and Armadyl and Zaros are probably not. Zaros's return, as he is the second-most powerful god, would help bring order. Zamorak, the main source of chaos, would be gone, Saradominist zealotry would tone down, and Bandos is already retreating from Runescape. Thus order, unless the other gods decided to rebel.
  9. Slayer guild please? Honestly, how could you build a guild for slayer? Perhaps make a tower with various monsters on each level that get progressivly higher levels the higher floors you get to. Or maybe a cave where the further you go in the higer leveled the monsters are. <_< New slayer master, some slayer monsters, bank, bunch of equipment shops, too many minigames?
  10. 46 days 6 hours, a little over 7k XP/hr. ... How are people getting 20-40k an hour?
  11. I haven't been able to figure this out: What, exactly, does fatigue do?
  12. Possibly the worlds could be made so that there are separate skill requirements. Combat skills could require a minimum of, say, 500 F2P, or skills 600 F2P, or total 1000 F2P. Members would require more like 600 CB or 1000 Skill or 1500 both.
  13. I fought some TzHaar and Lesser Demons in RS2. I leveled up my smithing and mining on Classic.
  14. Incredible means that it is difficult to believe (whatever you're calling unbeleivable). Massive means having mass. A feather, being made of matter, is a massive object. You can not have, for example, a "massive amount of light". I seriously doubt that you complain about the improper use of those words.
  15. My first impression: Fish from fishing spot. Fail to catch fish. Repeat 10 times. GAAAHIHATEYOU Fish from fishing spot. Catch fish. Rinse, and repeat. Now I have level 17 smithing, 25 mining, and have started to warm up to it. 85 total, 5 CB. 1.9K thus far.
  16. A "Spirit impling" would be nice. Would give people who summon for skills a way to get charms from skills. Those goblin chests don't really count. I seriously hope that they don't raise the XP too much, because if it becomes worthwhile to catch the implings for XP, the people who play for fun and goodies will find there to be competition from those training hunter. Zaros Impling, I say, Zaros Impling!
  17. Wouldn't total level make sense as a factor? I mean, I doubt that a RWT'er would have an especially high total level.
  18. If it's real, I can't let my dad see the time played, that's for sure. Anyway, I doubt it is real-The old stat icons and the default forum avatar are both there. Plus, date is today, so... Also, who fights a Mithril Dragon, suddenly decides to go fight an (Look, just one) abyssal demon, then go back to the dragons?
  19. 30 (?, maybe it's 31 now) farming, followed by 33 summoning. I can't motivate myself to farm much, I can't get myself to spend 500k on spirit shards, and I spend all my penguin points and XP lamps on Construction.
  20. I'm level 90, have only one members friend (Level 75), and have only 1.5 mil. That's not going to be enough to actually do anything, now is it? ...Uh, right?
  21. If I hear one more complaint about "invisible benefits" or "devalued combat levels", I will go mad. Money, like herblore level, does not affect combat level. It does drastically affect combat ability. A level 100 with an AGS could easily defeat a level 100 who can afford no better than a DDS. Even more unfair if the AGS person has antipoison.
  22. Warrior: Nice weapon Miner: Pickaxe Woodcutter: Hatchet Fisherman: Harpoon Hunter: It's a trap. Okay, there are a couple of non-traps which might be best... Most full of uses: Sacred Clay tool, Quest Kit or whatever it is, Infernal Adze, Achievment Diary rewards, some other stuff... If I personally had to rebuild my fortune with only one item (No trading with players/shops/ge/anything like that until I had done so), I'd start with a DDS. Good weapon, could fight for other basic needs (hammer, pickaxe, hatchet, etc). If you could trade with other players, most useful would be a christmas cracker. Sell it, buy your 500 mil of stuff...
  23. So, under Jagex's logic: Instead of Skills>RWTing and Merching>CB to give a PVP boost, RWTing and Merching>CB>Skills is best. At least yesterday, Merching to billions so that you could buy a Dbow or Godsword was not one of the only ways to get an advantage in combat, the others being fighting boss monsters and a select few moneymaking skills.
  24. I can see a non-"throw more hp at it" way to prevent soloing: Have it deal about 150 damage spread proportionally across everybody who's attacking it. So if there's somebody with 99 HP, someone with 71, somebody with 62, and somebody with 68, then the 99 HP'er will take 50 damage, the 71 will take 36, the 62 will take 31, and the 68 will take 34. Fairly survivable at those levels. With only one person, though, they'll be 1-hit. Etcetera. Thus, more than one person would need to be fighting it to prevent sudden death.
