  1. Lord of the Rings has a ton of those kinda scenes. And I also like V for Vendetta's opening, as well as its conclusion are both awesome. Though I cannot decide between these two for my favorites: The ending of The Matrix Revolutions The ending of Donnie Darko
  2. I don't really like any rap, but for the sake of music in general, I hope Kanye wins.
  3. ha there was so much hype about this at my school. Then, on the day practically no one was giving any hugs, but 2 kids were trying to sell 'free hug' t-shirts. What a cop-out
  4. just be assertive against anyone who is causing problems, get them either to stop or leave, just be firm about anything you feel uncomfortable with people doing. I think later you'll be glad you can say you hosted a house-party. besides, even if things get really bad, and your house gets trashed or whatever, and your parents are really pissed, just remember they can't do anything that horrible to you. They're just gonna ground you or something, but its all temporary. a few months later you all will have forgotten all about it.
  5. one isolated incident of craziness doesn't mean the world is going to pieces. This is not newsworthy, its the media's way of filling the papers with fluff stories that don't actually effect the world or people's lives, and just gives people stuff to talk about or make people paranoid. All so the media can profit and make money.
  6. your dad was wrong to explode at you for an insignificant sarcastic comment, but you're wrong for refusing to apologize. and I'm wrong for judging you guys. :?
  7. yeah you need both. There are so many smart girls at my school with good personalities, but all of them are really disgusting. And the ones that are actually good-looking have really crappy personalities. So I look for somewhere in between.
  8. I've got some issues with Christianity too. Mostly with the idea of rejecting intellectualism in favor of believing things without proof. Though I do think everyone should try to be like Jesus. But too often do people get caught up in the ritualistic aspect rather than the aspect of peace and love. for example, a friend an i have been having a big argument because he claims he 'spoke in tongues'. What a load of crap. http://youtube.com/watch?v=bkf7DpnnNck
  9. Whenever Richard Cory went down town, We people on the pavement looked at him: He was a gentleman from sole to crown, Clean favored, and imperially slim. And he was always quietly arrayed, And he was always human when he talked; But still he fluttered pulses when he said, "Good-morning," and he glittered when he walked. And he was ricḫ̢̢ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã
  10. whoa, I thought of this same kinda idea of not existing around 5 am the first time I pulled an all-nighter. That was fun. But anyway I suppose even if we aren't real, we should still think we are real so that we have something to base everything off of. You need some kind of constant in anything.
  11. pay as in runescape money? or real? besides this is probably like way on the wrong board anyway

I dunno what you're talking about. you mean you bought it with a trashed rear end? why'd you do that? or am I missing something.... I'm sure you can find somewhere to buy parts, try the phone book.
  13. I say your a loser. Its your birthday, be happy. If you dont want to be(I wouldnt want to know why) then thats ok, but if you can CARE LESS then somethings wrong. Dont spend ur b-day on rs.. I say your the looser, hes allowed to spend his birthday in whatever way he wants to. If he wants to ignore it then thats his call. Imo, birthdays are a day full of attention, call me a attention whoar, but i really look forward to my girlfriends gift. :) I gave him some advice..which is dont spend ur day on runescape. Try hanging out with your friends, going out for dinner doing something entertaining to you, if you played rs on your birthday then what else can I say other then Good for you! Who said anything about runescape? But yeah I didn't really care much about my 16th birthday, it was a crappy year for me. I'm gonna be 17 in a week and I'm not really that excited about it. Though it seems to be promising to be way better than last year. I might hang out with some friends and eat cake or something but really theres no need to stress out over anything I think.
  14. Ok thats cool then :), its just that the tech guys at, say, bestbuy, seem like lifeless drones who want to kill themselves. I guess I shouldn't have overlooked the fact that some really do enjoy it. I suppose it would get a bit boring after a while, but I never said I wanted to be a tech guy, I was just being hypothetical. But the answer is not to try to get a job that makes you rich, but find something both enjoyable and won't eventually become boring. And hey, if it does get boring, you can always change jobs.
  15. er, This is not news. It is the media jabbing at your emotions to distract you from real issues. Its just a freaking mistake, it happens all the time, get over it. But the media has to whine on about how traumatizing the incident was for the family and crap. This is [cabbage]. Traumatizing stuff happens to families all over the world everyday, why don't they get news stories? I bet the media would have been a lot happier if it turned out that they security people didn't check the kid because he was a kid, and it turned out someone had hidden a bomb in his shoe which consequently blew up his plane. Wow, think of all the emotions you could play on with that kind of story! It would be a field day! Time to rake in the big bucks! kinda a lose-lose situation for the security people, they'd have been criticized for any action that they took.
  16. I don't think, after 20 years, you would be happy fixing your 10,000th customers computer. Mabye thats what your into. If I enjoy fixing people's computers, I'd fix peoples computers for a living. Do what you enjoy, not what makes the most money. If I get tired of fixing computers, I'm free to do something else I think would benefit society.
  17. Eh, I wouldn't worry about the money or salaries, just do whatever you like better.
  18. alright scratch that last post, my respect for Serj just went up about 500% after finding this: http://donce.awardspace.com/esej.html
