  1. Maybe add some red/white splatters to the LP? Especially in the top left-ish. And more hearts. First and last signatures are messy, second one is very nice though. Tech brushes work well.
  2. The second version from the first post looks fine. I'd just get rid of the black outlines around the glass and stopper and then move on to making the other parts of the pixel. You can always edit little things later, but right now it would seem best to focus on getting at least a basic outline of the other elements right.
  3. Well... I think they all have some obvious colouring/effects/composition/blending/text issues. The filters used are pretty bad. The third sig seems to be very bad quality too. Other than that, not really sure what to say about these since they're all old. I'd like to see some newer work, just to get an impression of how much you improved.
  4. I think it's really good so far, and the Dragon plate doesn't look too bad. No C/C as of now, I can't really see any flaws. Good luck finishing it.

Can I have #1 or 3 please? I want to learn from the master.
  6. Remove border. Remove swirly effect thing. Smudgie background, add some depth and colour. Create more flow (by smudging or adding coloured effect C4Ds). Focal in middle = not good, I'd say chop a part of the canvas off to help the composition. You really can make nice things though. Have more confidence.
  7. I like it. Does indeed look a bit rushed, but I think that only adds to the sig's charm.
  8. It has potential, but needs moar depth and slightly smoother smudging IMO. I'd also remove some of the brightness from the sprite and change the background's colours a bit.
  9. The background image looks ok, but not really like you did a lot to it. I don't like the huge white text and logo slapped on top of it, it's just not interesting enough to make a good focal point and too distracting not to be one.
  10. ^ I agree. I really like how it starts out, when it looks like a pixel with potential. But then you blur it and change it into a digi painting, which would normally be fine, but it really is too blurry and sketchy IMO.

I like the new one, that typography style is great IMO.
  12. ^ You know, I don't have to do them in order. Besides, that's not a render, that's a thumbnail. I can't work with that. Get me an actual render from PR and I might do it.

  14. ^ Agreed. Inverted stuff usually looks terrible. So the first version is better here, although there are still some things to improve on. Colours: they're quite boring, try to add another colour to the signature (like light blue). The background: again, not very interesting. The fractals aren't too bad here, but it's always hard not to make them look slapped on. I wouldn't recommend using them for an entire background. Blending: there is some of it here, but you blended the cape so much that it almost looks like it's part of the background, which makes the girl stand out a lot.

Not a fan of the filter on the LP either. The colours seem unnatural and grainy too, which brings the quality down. Spiderman sig: Not a fan of the border, text and colours, it's not a bad signature though.
  16. Thru said it all. Your brushing is messy too, probably due to the contrast, but I'd try to stay away from brushing the entire background, even though it's not a bad way to start.
  17. Jopie211 replied to Sam's topic in Art and Media
#6 is awesome IMO. The others are decent, but like Thru said, a bit too much smudging. I think your settings could be better too, the smudging looks quite flat and sometimes boring. I'd add some contrast and depth, simply by smudging things with different colours.
  18. I say it's not yay nor nay, but okay. Some of the effects around the render are too noisy IMO, but the colours are good. I do think the render could use a little more blending in places, and a little less in others (like the head).
  19. It's awesome, can't fault it. Yay for new style.
  20. ^ That. And it's just unoriginal, I've seen so many sigs with this concept. If you're going to make something that has been made a million times before, at least do it properly. The earphones are choppy, and the background is boring and has a distracting gradient effect. And it probably wouldn't be a great idea to post something that you yourself think looks pathetic. Keep practising and then post something that you're remotely happy with.

Frazier lens -> Depth of field -> Melodrama -> Incidental music -> Video game -> Input device -> Cursor (computers) -> Hourglass -> Angle -> Grade (slope) -> Gravitation (redirected from Gravity). Now find Penguin.
  23. Come on guys, report the topic if you think it belongs in the sticky.
  24. Did you start again? Because I can't see my C4D. It's okay if you did, I just thought we were working on mine. No offence, Shiny, but I think you ruined it with the lighting. Other than that, link to C4D pack, Jopie? :P I was, but then I just smudged the original C4D completely and added another one because I thought it looked empty. :-? http://rippie92.deviantart.com/art/C4D- ... k-61239702 ^ I think it's from that pack.
