  1. The reason I quote is because it actually allows my to sign in and reply quicker. And it's only about half as annoying as having to read a post filled with "[bleep]s" and 11 times too much punctuation.
  2. I thought the only reason people had addy gloves was if they were trying to keep their defence low? and sorry, wish I could help though :(
  3. It can be daunting at first, but just stay in there, pay attention, say gratz if someone gets a decent level. Join in every now and then. Try to be helpful, eventually people will start to recognise you and you'll enjoy it here. Sometimes though, the best thing is just sitting back and watching other peoples conversations when you can't be bothered to type.

Next time you want to know, just set it as an objective and it tells you the exact xp
  5. At 65 fishing, monks suck harder than a hooker in las vegas. Just fly fish in shilo and watch a film or something. I had to do the same thing =( Though it is definately worth it

3 failed attempts? took me 14... But it was definately worth it. I'm not that bothered with having 99s or their cape. If I ever get them it will be through my normal RS play, not because I've specifically worked towards it. But I love my fire cape and if I were ever to lose it, I'd put everything else on hold until I got it back again. If internet is REALLY bad (like it was for me) you can consider doing the waves at home, then logging out on wave 61 or something. Then relog in at an internet cafe or somewhere with better connection. If there's nothing in your town, just plan it for when you go out of town. The fight will take 6 mins max so it's not that big a deal. Good Luck!

I'm not too sure but I think it would be best to play it safe and finish the healer first. Or you could not kill them. I only had 80 def and I used a zam book as a shield and all I did was lure the healers so that they were in a line away from jad and even though there were 2 on me, I just tanked their hits and concentrated on jad.
  9. I'm pretty sure I 1 hit Derith from demon slayer OT: Gratz OP, glad to see you're following through on the advice from your other thread.
  10. "Kite enemies" ? Just did a quick search on urbandictionary.com Kite: to drag along an enemy in a MMORPG by attacking it with ranged spells or weapons
  11. Most regular types of armour you're going to see are (not a complete list): Dragon (the red ones). Requires 60 def but is mainly bought for it's looks and is considered by most to be overpriced. Is acheived by monster drops with most parts dropped by indevidual monsters Barrows (the sorta grey/brown one). Requires 70 def. Everyone should own some barrows if they have the required levels. Have pretty much the best armour stats and if you're using a whole set, they have set affects. The different types of barrows armour are: Guthans: If using a whole set it can heal you when you hit. Quite expensive and not used by many higher levels because of other methods of healing Torags: Best armour for stats (i think). Stat effect is useless (think it drains run energy) Ahrims: Good mage armour Karils: Good range armour, used particularly where mage def is required Dharok: Don't use if you don't know what you're doing. has a set affect of hitting very high if you're on low health. So if you can get down to low lp and then use a protect from prayer to make sure you won't be hit, it's possible to hit in the thousands though it is very risky Veracs: Great pray bonus. decent armour (it's the type I use the most) These pieces are obtainable from playing the barrows minigame and the pieces are tradable. Void (the black and while stripy one). Not particularly good def stats but as a set (helm, top, bottom and gloves) have the set affect of hitting 15% higher and 15% more accurately (i think). Only obtainable by playing the pest control minigame. Items not tradable. Proselyte: (The white one). Used for best pray bonus. Decent def stats. Obtainable after some quests Rune: (the blue one) I assume you know this. Decent low level armour. Armadyl: (the white and silver one). Used for it's massive range bonuses. very expensive. Has negative mellee bonuses. Obtainable from GWD Bandos armour (the browney/grey/white/something one) Very good high end mellee armour. Very expensive. Obtainable from GWD This is a very quick run down on all the main armours. Of course there and 100's more and you can't forget costumes and clothes for skill training (hunter springs to mind) My advice: Do quests. Lots of them. Just go quest mad. unlock some dragon weapons (like the longsword). It's good for your level. Stick with rune armour until you're about level 70 all combat stats but use a dragon wep asap. Train by slayer burthorpe. Add me ingame if you need advice. Void
  12. Sorry for double post. Anyway, arcane stream necklace is just awesome. I'm hitting 471 with ice barrage so far. Besides that... Choatic, I fear Have to say I don't know ALL the details, but I think it goes along these lines... Jewlery (unenchanted) and therefore the gems that make them used to be a big item for f2p merch clans who would regularly buy them out driving up the price. The great thing about these items is that they could be sold instantly and in bulk to the rogue trader (I think) for GE min meaning that there was never any fear of the item crashing from people dumping early. You were always guaranteed to be able to offload your stock. But now with the rogue offering less, they won't be bought up as much and the price is therefore dropping back to what it should be. Also with the ring of forging update a little while ago, rubies started dropping anyway. Overall it's been a bad time for gems =(
  13. Sorry to repost an image but does anyone know why the quality of this pic is so bad? what should I be saving it as?
  14. 18 To be exact. ;) Actually, mercenary gloves give a higher bonus than barrow gloves by 1 or 2. Mercenary = +13 Barrows = +12
  15. Have to disagree. A fury is pretty much a must have for everyone above 70 mellee stats. Hands down the best amulet in the game and the price is only going to go up. Here's the GE graph: http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/Amulet_of_fury/viewitem.ws?obj=6585&scale=2
  16. Unless you have to register at a computer actually inside the venue and sign in with your usename and password. So unless someone's going to give you that information, it shouldn't be a problem.
  17. Actually Heathrow is a lot bigger than Gatwick (think it's got 3 more terminals). Haha yeah, i actually meant Heathrow in my post, not sure how i got the two confused since i've lived on the piccadilly line for the past 5 years which goes right to Heathrow. #-o HOLY CRAP ME TOO! we could be neighbours :S I tell you what, if you live north of finsbury park too I'm going to get seriously freaked out.
  18. Depends where you're flying from really. Gatwick is the main airport for the south of the UK, it has a tube line that goes straight from the airport into the centre of London too. Actually Heathrow is a lot bigger than Gatwick (think it's got 3 more terminals). I would really love to go but £75 is simply too much (Even though I wouldn't be paying accomodation, food or travel) unless I get 6months + membership and a Stellar Dawn beta key I won't be going =( (quick little story I got membership in Feb last year after Jagex said that members would get priority for the Stelar Dawn (then known as mechscape) beta. 13 months later and I'm still waiting...)
  19. My advice is: Don't worry about efficiency. I know that when going from a free game to a pay-to-play game many people are struck with a sence of "OMG-don't-waste-time-I'm-paying-for-this-I-have-to-be-as-efficient-as-possible-so-I-don't-waste-money" This will only lead to boring grinding and you eventually resenting the game. Just go round and have as much fun as possible. Definately have a go at as many of the minigames as you can (at least once), train every member skill to at least 20 so you can learn the absolute basics and find out which ones you like. Do everything you wanted to do as a f2per but couldn't. For instance, when I became p2p, I rushed my fletching level to the stage at which I could do willow shortbows, then I went to the willow trees south of Rimmington, brought a hatchet and a knife, chopped a full invent. Fletched the bows, sold to the nearby general store, chopped some more, fletched, sold etc.etc. Was it efficient? not at all, but it did give me an understanding of the skill and allowed me to realise that I actually really enjoyed the satisfaction of making something myself
  20. The lumbridge one is the only one that's different. If you talk to the cook he explains that the salesman told him it would cook better and after much testing by players, this was confirmed to be true, but it's not worth the slower xp rates.
  21. Empty your POH of anything you have stored in it. If you have nothing stored in it, buy costumes (full H.A.M. etc)

I know that the old slayer helm + fury was better than mellee void So I think it's safe to say that Full slayer helm + fury/ranging amulet > range void Also, you can try maging metal dragons with the FSH.
  23. I've heard a lot about a dungeoneering batch 2 that is coming out. My question, is, has this been confirmed? or are we just hoping that it will? (Screenshots/QFCs very much appreciated)
  24. Bandits west of ge give highly reduced xp, check with your mellees first though, don't want to screw you over.
