  1. It was already stated on the forums that that was part of the system update. phooey!!!!! The inflated RC xp rates reverted to lower ones in the minute or so before everyone was logged out. I was getting 1 xp per 10 essence crafted, which I'm assuming is the original "nerfed" rate. RC xp was already nerfed to 1/10th the original amount. I don't know how you can make it slower? Unless they want to go to 1/20 - 1/100... then it would be worthless to craft essence.
  2. I know that my strategy for Dungeoneering has always been, when you finish out the level, RC a bunch of fire runes for the easy xp. I probably would have been seen as a "bug abuser", but it would definitely have been unintentional. I probably would've tried to verify it, then send in a bug report. I wonder if Jagex has red flags in place to detect unusual changes in XP.
  3. Glad I wasn't online when this happen. Jagex needs to get their crap together though. GF BUGS
  4. I got to lvl 35? last night. I reset my prestige because I didn't know what it was about yesterday. Its been interesting redoing everything. I've been mostly soloing. I think the XP is faster if you have a partner who knows what the heck they're doing, and you're able to do a medium sized dungeon. The gravestone teleport is actually pretty useful... I like to drop one in the very start, and when I reach the end of a thread, tele back. The optimum strategy for gaining dung xp and rc xp might be a group of 3 or 5 - 2 teams split up and complete as much as they can, with one RC junky that only crafts deaths. You share the XP...
  5. False. When runecrafting, there can be MANY people on the way from the bank to the altar, and MANY people at the altar. There is human interaction throughout. There are also many altars, with different ways to get to them (ZMI, abyss, tabs). There is also an activity associated with it (GOP, FoG), both of which are very social. In a party of 1-5. Which means no interaction if you chose to do it yourself, or relying on others and their ISPs if you don't. If you do it alone, you've contradicted your first point. If you do it with others, this is a valid rant. I'm a pure F2Per, and I think the EXP is TOO SLOW. I've put up with slow skills. I've got 70 prayer, 76 runecrafting, and 94 strength. THOSE ARE SLOW SKILLS. THIS KNOCKS THEM OUT OF THE WATER. I'm also upset that Jagex nerfed our XPing abilities deliberately. The first thing Jagex did with the new skill was nerf the rate F2Pers could get XP. That was a slap in the face to us. The items that you can buy take huge amounts of experience / tokens to save up for. You think they could've foreseen these problems in the two years it took them to develop it? Also, as a F2Per, I've gotten level 10 summoning related drops. It violates two categories - P2P and more P2P. Small oversight? I'd be a bit more foregiving if it wasn't two years in the making and if this content interacted with other areas of the game. But it doesn't.
  6. I'd really wish they'd spend more time on the mechanics of the game and less on the graphics... My favorite game of all time is called C-Dogs... you may still be able to find it on google. It's an old DOS based game that was amazing for 2 players... "dog-fight in the dungeon" with my older brother kept me entertained for hours. Graphics are crap on today's standards... who cares! game play is amazing. Same with like, worms or age of empires.
  7. you can't use genie lamps to train this skill ... yet. Got a random and I couldn't train dungeoneering. BOOOO
  8. MHL - I thoroughly enjoyed this skill all the way up until 4 hours ago... when I learned that - get this - I was gaining XP too fast. Even F2P runecrafting trains faster than this mini-activi-skill. I enjoy the skill... I hate the xp rates. And I dislike the fact that Jagex has taken a stance against me, the "5% that will be affected".
  9. None needed - its provided or made. Each level you're starting from scratch, just like everyone else.
  10. Are you getting full xp from this, without team sharing? If that's the case, this just made RC the easiest skill.
  11. RC gives 1/10th the xp of normal... so its pretty slow. However, it IS AFKable, so I like it a lot! Wasn't aware of that...I thought you'd get the exp stated in the KB in the Complexity sections. I know when I craft 10 deaths, I get 10 xp. Might be different for members.
  12. High level F2P players gets the screw on this one. WTF! I read this as "F2P trains too quickly in this new skill, so we're going to make it slower again". I wonder if I take longer clearing out dungeons if it'll give me more xp?
  13. RC gives 1/10th the xp of normal... so its pretty slow. However, it IS AFKable, so I like it a lot!
  14. I was 2071st to 30 dungeoneering.... and I didn't stay up all night! :P Seems like the key (for a F2P player at least) is to bind a fractite weapon... my prefered is the maul, and then wear whatever armour is dropped. Ignore anything that say "crab", pick up all gp (I buried bones too). Before the last boss, I like to turn my GPs into death runes... takes about 3-5 minutes to craft 1k death runes, free 1k rc xp. If you can't attack it, and its shooting icicles at you, run away!
  15. Its only trolling because you've posted the same thing 30 times in a row. And dungeoneering because no one would come up with that name - anyone could come up with "raiding", "instancing", etc. Oh, and this miniskill is pretty much "dungeon assualt" for runescape, except its game-generated and not player-generated.
  16. I've got the long term goal of getting 99 in every F2P skill. If I had to get 120 (with 104M XP), I'd quit before I got to level 100. The experience rates are too slow, and I actually have a life.
  17. Hope you're not serious, I lol'd a little.
  18. What level are you in Dungeoneering? :wall: :wall: :wall:
  19. I crafted death runes today. And nats. And laws. I crafted them one at a time.... booo
  20. I'm guessing it's probably the slowest skill... After completing one dungeon my Dungeoneering level only rose up to 2... and that took like 5 minutes. <_< Same here, wondering how long it stays like that (thinks of runecrafting).
  21. Like a ding-dong? *fishes around in cupboard* Nope... I'm all out. Just wondering... how quickly do you level this skill? Anyone have an idea of max xp / hour?
  22. Next time you look to complain about something, hold your fingers back. Or give a "compliment sandwich" - A good thing about Jagex, the thing you actually don't like, and another good thing.
  23. I woke up this morning... went to sell a few things on GE before work... and was like OMFG NEW SKILL. played a couple levels. Did you know that F2P is able to craft deaths, nats, and laws in this new miniskill? Runecrafting is crazy slow tho- you can only do 1 at a time.
  24. At least we're first on the gold list? I'm glad tip.it isn't censored in runescape like all the other .com's...
  25. I'd like to see something similar to this idea, more ways to make money in F2P. The worst thing that could happen would be people bot these to get money, but botting has always been a problem, that was never exclusive to F2P (green dragon botters, anyone?) The neutral thing to happen would be that F2Pers just ignore these new ways to make money, which would mean a little effort from Jagex wasted. The best thing that could happen is that F2Pers actually utilize these methods to make money.
