  1. Ye, that is what I said. However, if you are in multi, you probably aren't using VS as your main weapon, and I doubt it is worth buying for that reason alone.
  2. It is essentially useless. Really, in PvP the only halfway useful time to use it would be if you were being teamed in multi.
  3. Mining. Woodcutting yews is around, what, 150k an hour if that? Rune mining is at least 400 in f2p, probably more like 500k-600k. Not to mention, you really only start getting yews at a decent pace at 75+ WC.
  4. Note: I havn't had a SWH since summer, but that is what I have heard from several different corpiers.
  5. I don't think you even can. Doesn't charge "temporarily increase the power of the god spells when wearing that mage arena cape"?
  6. Rushers in PvP use it. They simply switch to melee/range helm afterwards for their next attack.
  7. Hey, don't do it then....Did you whine about the elite diary? I am expecting at least 1 of the diaries to contain mining and smiting runite, and killing a higher level slayer monster, maybe an abby or a dark beast.
  8. Just because you get an update for a skill that needed one doesn't mean the update was good. These spells are pointless. The God Spells are: a. more powerful b. have lower requirements (80 for charge) c. are still cheaper This makes them completely useless. actually... The new spells are more power full. They also cast quite abit faster then other spells. They are also cheaper arent they? i thought the god spells used multiple bloods/deaths. Max hit of Claws of Guthix: 33 Max hit of surge spells: 31 Cost of Claws of Guthix: 928 Cost of Fire Surge: 996 Grats, get some boots nao. Forgot to take into consideration the cost of charge. That is fairly high, although only cast every few minutes. Also, fire surge is more xp. You don't consider that mage xp is normally valued at somewhere around 5 gp/xp for a moderate training method, more if you barrage. Charge lasts a little over 6 minutes which is a lot of casts if your in constant combat, maybe puts the costs on par with fire surge. People forget that the god spells including guthix have extra effects. Claws of Guthix not only hits extremely hard, but also reduces the defense of the target (more PvP usage really) Lol dw about stone. He's a lil 18 year old boy who likes to argue any chance he gets. His comback is stfu, sufficient and ULTIMATE@@@ Meh, merly pointed out some external considerations. In fact, COG is still excellent at DKS maging, as the void mace not only has a 10% damage boost, but a slight prayer bonus, although you lose some mage bonus. However, at maging rex, that really doesn't matter, as he has no mage defense to speak of.
  9. You're wrong. Price floors and ceilings exist in the real world too. Finished products are less valuable because of the exact same supply and demand laws that we have in real life. I don't think you even know what a Ponzi Scheme is if you think they exist in Runescape. The GE price has the tendency to lag behind supply and demand sometimes and has price floors and ceilings on some items, but otherwise reflects supply and demand very accurately. The junk phenomenon is simply a black market, jus like the black markets we have in real life. Also, doesn't he only give you the mint cake once? You are so wrong. The whole merchant clan idea is a ponzi scheme. Junk isn't comparable to black market, as it is completely legal. Black market items have a value due to utility. Junk doesn't, except as junk, not due to any use. I never said price floors and ceilings don't exist IRL. Finished products are worth less in game then raw because they don't have any xp potentiall. I stated why they were worth less, and you actually prove my point. What you are arguing about there I have no clue, as you only reinforce my argument. And also, the GE does a terrible job keeping up with supply and demand, it doesn't just lag behind. Look at items which are often unbuyable in the GE for months at a time. If true supply demand were met, they would rise until they reached a price were, at that time, the supply equals the demand at the price. All of your points are wrong, except for your very last one. Also, see all, then you are relating economic principles to RS, which is what I said is possible. However, I said you can NOT compare a true capitalist societies economy to RS, as RS is not a capitalistic. True, it is a lot less repressive then, say, a communist society.
  10. I'd imagine like 4 waterskins should be enough as well, maybe even 2.
  11. Not anymore. Now, whenever you wield it, and hit/are hit at least one time, it counts as 1 minute.
  12. You could bring humidify runes.
  13. Honestly, you can not, with any great degree of accuracy, compare RS to any current capitalist system for many reasons. 1. It is not a free market. The price of items can be, and is sometimes changed by an external factor (Jagex) despite all rules of supply and demand. 2. Unlike the real world, finished products are less valuable. Essentially, we have 2 "currencies", GP, and XP in certain skills. 3. Those who attempt to scam others through Ponse Schemes are allowed to continue. 4. The GE price isn't all that accurate as far as supply and demand. 5. Stable junk is essentially equivalent to cash, as long as the item being traded for has a street price differing from the GE price. The only real difference is that this junk can't be used to buy things on the GE. There are more issues to be considered, but that is a lot of why you simply can not apply many real life economic laws to Runescape; it has a completely different economic structure. Also, mint cakes are really fast and easy to get, as long as you have done the Glouphire quest line. You take a gnome food to the explorer gnome, and he gives you a mint cake.

  15. Combat skills are skills too...You chose not to train, you don't get the benefits.
  16. Honestly, the only totally fair way would be to value certain XP, like slayer and runecrafting, more than cooking, fletching, etc. So you see, without doing all kind of fiddling, there is no perfect system. What we have is fine.
  17. Barrows. 400+ chests, 5 items, all under 310k when I got them. Clue scrolls. Probably 50 done, with only 1 being over 1m. All the rest, even if it was a rare item, was fairly worthless. (Sara coif, 200k at the time, etc. etc.) PKING. Being BS'ed by BGS spec 12 times in a row, with highest hit being a 40 for redbar.
  18. Last I checked, which was around a week ago, 275m. Probably around that same now, even though I spent alot on mage.
  19. IDK if I posted here before. 18...for the time being
  20. You need a quest to be able to use rune plate, while you don't to use arma plate. That makes a difference as well.
  21. If you alch with a very valuable item in your invy, and aren't careful, too bad. I was always careful. I think the IKOD is fine as it is. Jagex values/Alch value and Player created values do to utility, rarity, etc. is rather irrelevant. =
  22. This article would have been iffy if there were 1-2 other articles, but to put this article all by itself is especially disappointing. Honestly, if you are so strapped for writers, either go back and look at applications from the last few times you held "auditions" or have another opportunity for others to show what they have. We have many good writers on TIF who, I am sure, would be glad to help write. People, however, are a lot less likely to just up and write an article. It seems that any article written would find its place in the Times as things stand now.
  23. In other words, suck it up and stop asking Jagex to make the game super easy. There is really very little advantage to being on those worlds if you are a skiller anyways, so why bother? TBH, this sounds like a person whining just for its own sake. There is really no reason. If you don't have the stats, you don't get in. Simple as that. Life isn't fair.
  24. So I can illusion my BH targ to death?
  25. I'm not sure if this is the guy, but I know that someone alched a GS 2 days before Jagex implimented that. Yeah, huge slap in the face, but hey, its just how the game goes. [/hide] A few days ago, I was at duo TD's and randomly lagged out. I had over 15m risk, and thought for sure I wouldn't be able to connect, and would lose it all. Then I thought "I've done this before, it isn't all that bad" and I wasn't all panicked. I didn't die, either.
