Lost and Found
Have you ever lost something, only to find it later and after learning a valuable lesson ? In the time you had lost it, you thought and had an epiphany ? And you felt it went missing on purpose and then again returned on purpose ? So that you could better yourself ? If this sounds "abstract" I'll give you an example. This happened to me a while ago. I had this school badge that I valued very much. It was also useful to put on [a] resume. One day I couldn't find it. I looked all over. I could not find it. I thought to myself : screw it. It's just a symbol. As long as I know that I've done it [the award on the badge] and my school recognizes it -- who cares if I don't have it on my tie. I found it 20 minutes later. TLDR : Have you ever lost something and learned something because of it ?

Fall of Efrafa
The hi-hat and the vocals are far too overpowering. I love the guitar in it. Pity.

Today...
Today I discovered something. In an event of absent-minded-ness I left some jam on a knife. It was spread real fine. I had forgotten to keep it back in the cupboard and thus overnight [and the night being a cold one] the jam had condensed and "clumped" together. In my desperation to save the jam, the next morning I tried spreading on bread. Alas ! It could not be done. I then proceeded to use my teeth to scrape off the jam. Oh what a taste sensation ! Gooey and gummy, and sweet and runny. The most satisfying sweet feeling in terms of texture. How to describe it. Like a semi-liquid gummy bear without the gelatin and the acidity. True gummy sweetness. Unfortunatley while licking the knife, my mouth got hurt... What a day.

I take you as a comic book fan because of that old avatar/sig you had, so Samuel Wilson? Where does Samuel Wilson come into this ? Yes, I am a comic book fan. However that old signature had some artwork and script that I liked. And the Falcon has something to do with me so, I wont be letting any of you in on it. Much like l0rd. Where is he ?

Why can't adults drink?
This article : [hide=Alcoholic dies after doctors refuse liver transplant]A 22-year-old British man who became an alcoholic as a teenager has died after doctors refused to give him a liver transplant. Gary Reinbach began binge drinking when he was just 13 and ended up with severe cirrhosis of the liver. He was admitted to a London hospital in May but died after doctors refused to give him a liver transplant amid fears he would not stay sober for six months after the operation. Reinbach's distraught mother Madeline Reinbach said her son had been in great pain and scared before his life support machine was turned off on Sunday. "When Gary was told how ill he was and how long he had left, I just held him and we both cried," she told the Daily Mirror newspaper in Britain on Tuesday. "Gary wanted to live so badly - he did everything he could to co-operate with the doctors. "They told him to stop smoking and he did. They told him to stay in bed and he did. "All he wanted to do was prove that he was serious, and that he wouldn't drink again. "But he never had the chance to prove himself properly because he was too fragile to be sent home. "He couldn't go against the doctors, but because of that he couldn't have the second chance he wanted so much." Reinbach was one of the youngest people in Britain to die of advanced cirrhosis brought on by binge drinking. His mother said her son began drinking bottles of cheap cider with his mates while skipping school. His habit got worse when he left school aged 17 and began drinking up to eight cans of beer plus a bottle of vodka or half a bottle of whisky and cans of cider. The NHS Blood and Transplant service said in a statement Reinbach's case highlighted the dilemma faced by doctors because of a shortage of donated organs. "They have to make tough decisions about who is going to get the benefit and who is going to take best care of this precious gift," the NHS said.[/hide] Source: SMH.

"If you're ever in ___, you absolutely HAVE to ___ ___!"
I have. DC is an exciting place, don't get me wrong, but it wears down after awhile. There's only so many exhibits in the museums (although I haven't been the JFK museum, next time I'm downtown), the monuments are only awe-inspiring so many times, security will only put up with you jumping in the Reflecting Pool after a few attempts....and when people come to visit, they only want to see the big stuff. I.e, Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, and the various war memorials. Sometimes the Capitol and Smithsonian. But me? I've been all up and through that place. Which is why I said before, try and find something else that isn't a great big landmark or monument. And where did you think I was from? The nearest [bleep]ing rainbow. No. I thought you were Asian [are you ?] and I also thought you lived in Singapore. Yeah. I agree with you there. I've been to the Air and Space at least 3 times. Though the museum at Dulles is good.

"If you're ever in ___, you absolutely HAVE to ___ ___!"
Everyone should quit [bleep]ing about where they live. I mean, I know I cant speak for all of you but - you probably dont want to live there for a few other reasons like friends or family [or lack of]. But you should stop thinking of your hometown as a boring place, everywhere is boring so long as you live there for an amount of time. Even in Sydney, where I live - isn't really a cultural hub. So yeah, I mean I'd love to go away and live at your place just to experience some change - but that doesn't mean I hate where I live. :| Also Lenin, you live in the US ?! I wish you people would stop ranting about Washington DC. I bet you haven't even been in the archives. Or the new JFK museum. You [Lenin] get bored too easily. I could spend months in DC. And I've been there a fair few times. Also, if your ever in Sydney you : [*:1fjcqukl]Should not go to the Blue Mountains - boring. [*:1fjcqukl] Should drive to Canberra, purely to see Cockington Green. [Google that] [*:1fjcqukl] Do not go to Luna Park - also boring [*:1fjcqukl] You should walk from the Harbour Bridge to the Opera House - [for the "heck" of it] [*:1fjcqukl] You must catch a ferry from the Quay [*:1fjcqukl] You should go to Taronga Zoo [*:1fjcqukl] Lastly visit some good beaches. Not the big ones like Manly and Dee Why but smaller ones.

Reading
Really you need to read quite a lot of Asimov before everything clicks. Try to read (most) of the Foundation series (Foundation, Foundation and Empire, Second Foundation, Foundations Edge, and Foundation and Earth), and the Robot series (The Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun, Robots of Dawn, Robots and Empire). The Empire series is not as good, and does not fit entirely with the other two series. If you didn't come across Nightfall in the short story collections, then you should look for that too. Titles by other authors you could look out for would be Hyperion by Dan Simmons and the Rama series by Arthur C. Clarke, starting with Rendevous with Rama. Thanks. Funny you should mention Rama as I was just thinking about getting it.

Why can't adults drink?
Yeah. Credibility. Reeaaal credible. And that guy looks about 12. :? Look Zierro, there has to be some cut-off point. Either you're allowed to drink alcohol the day you are born, or alcohol is strictly prohibited. See how ridiculous that is ? You can't argue that there is a magical point because at any limit there is going to be a difference. And implementing some type of "progressive system" would be far too hard to maintain. The reason why alcohol may seem ridiculous is the fact that it's a very easily obtainable "taboo item" when compared against firearms or hard drugs. It's overall utility is very high. Think of a weapon. You need a license, the know-how, ammunition, storage facility, etcetera . Or even a car. You need to be a certain height to reach the gas and brakes [as a physical discriminant]. But alcohol is different entirely. But I think it still has two sides. It can act as a social grease or faux pas agitator. :|
