I suppose I could have been more clear. Recently I've been having more problems, ergo the post asking for ping rates. Gameplay will be fine for a little bit, then a little lag will creep in, until suddenly (and isn't it always in the worst combat spots?) I lose connection and it has to reload. I thought Java might have been the problem or the browser or...well, a whole bunch of things. I can't figure out what it is, but I've wondered about this for a while anyway.

As usual, people are getting worked up. Can't I disagree without assumptions? I do know what goes on behind the scenes, by the way.

While you may feel the other way around, I think there is great safety in public forums. I've got nothing to hide and PMs are just not in the spirit of the forums. I wasn't defensive, either. I don't really see how it could be interpreted that way. You are entitled to your opinion, of course. As usual, I'm not alone in how I feel about this, but it seems like those in power feel like it's a minority.

Yep... My issue is that sometimes I don't want to PM...it's too personal for me. I'd rather comment in general. If that's what they want, then some of the mistakes or issues that are seen won't get reported immediately, because while a reply feels quick and easy, a PM feels like it has to have more time spent on it. I don't spend a lot of time on here and don't want to. I don't think my time is appreciated here.

I am wondering what most people get as far as low and high ping rates when logging in to RuneScape. The lowest I see is 78, but that's rare. 79 is a bit more frequent, but 80 even more. The high is about 284. Since it affects gameplay, I was wondering if my connection was a slow one, fast one, or pretty average.

I understand about behind the scenes decision making...I think most crew know that. My problem is that there can be no open discussion, especially when I also know that sometimes, there hasn't been any real substantive discussion behind the scenes. I know crew has things they focus on and have goals and plans, but sometimes little things are found that need consideration. For example: the recent discussion about growing times for calquats. While we all remember that Jagex had posted guidelines and then removed them, if Tip.It is going to have guidelines, then shouldn't they start at (at least) the lowest growing time known? As it's a guideline, it is not that Tip.it is saying it's even the average time. In fact, they should probably be round hours (especially since we all know that perfect growing times are almost impossible). In fact, I worked with the crew on wording of something like that for the Farming guide. I realize there are other factors to consider on post closing, but I feel like the current policy needs a little tweaking. Close and move them to completed if you must and trust that the few people who don't know or realize where their post went will find it. Otherwise, leave it unlocked for a day or something? I don't think creating more posts is really what you want, is it? I mean, already there could be some real consolidation of threads on the same subject. I also realize that it's my own opinion on how things could be run more smoothly. I don't think it's without merit, though.

It definitely seems that he has gotten stronger to me. He went from not doing any serious damage to being something I have to be really careful about.

There are occasions when crew have made decisions without allowing further input from the users of the board and I'm curious as to why the posts are locked so quickly. I think there should be more time for discussion on a few items. I know that the crew will still have final say on items going up on the site, but sometimes their decisions are bad ones and we should be allowed to share why.

I agree that spirit realm portals would be great. While many people will be using it for PvP, some people like to use the map as a reference for getting around and avoiding revenants (and the number of people using the map for that is probably greater than people might think). I don't PvP, but I like to know where quick "escapes" are from the wilderness (because especially at high levels, accessing the portals allows you to teleport with simple spells instead of getting to level 30 or level 20 wilderness to use glory teles or other methods).

Play has been sparse and updates rare, but every now and then, I'll manage to get on and finish a Treasure Trail or two and of course, I make my daily runs. I'm not much richer (and indeed, to finish Treasure Trail reward sets, I've doled out some cash). I'm not much more skilled. I AM a little more fearsome after a new Slayer task today. [hide=Combat 115!][/hide] It came against Gargoyles in Kuradal's caverns and as a result of levelling up Attack, Strength, and Defence at the same time (all up to Level 85). Ahead of me lies some Fishing to replenish my monkfish supply, Cooking to cook said monkfish and the catches from managing my kingdom, work on a quest or two, some glassmaking...and more daily tasks.

I remember posting something slightly similar in the past (about hoping for an animated gif that rotates like some of the other costumes to show the different colors). Either they haven't gotten to it or deem it low priority.

It has been quite a long time since my last update. RuneScape has been updated more than a couple of times, but I think the most exciting aspects of the new content are the curses and the two more difficult than usual quests. I'm not finding much enjoyment in gaining levels, but I have been keeping up with my "daily tasks" as best as I can, in order to suprise myself one day in the near future with an increase in Cooking, Firemaking, Fletching, or Crafting. My gold reserves have fluctuated slightly, but only after purchases to complete the odd Treasure Trail reward (earned from clues "fished" from the sea while managing my kingdom). I suspect that I'll have even LESS time to play, but I will try and enjoy as much of the content as I can when I do get the chance to log on. I'm hoping that content released in the near future will make playing more interesting. Until then, the holiday content and recent quests will keep me busy!

I've been fighting this battle for weeks. I know he melees, but his magic attack in his first two forms is supposed to be the devastating one. My melee defense was very high with the armour I was using and it's the same set-up I've used since the release.

Last week, I had a tough time using the Deflect Magic curse against the first two forms of the Skeletal Horror battle. I thought maybe they didn't work on it, but this week I switched back to prayers for Protect Magic and the beast STILL was hitting ridiculously high (though I was wearing good melee armour) in the first two forms. Was there a boost to the beast's prowess? Does he hit through prayer/curse now? Anyone else having a little more trouble lately with it (noticing a stronger creature?)

Has anyone compiled the week's RS hints from all four languages? I know we have the English one and I've heard there is a new Spanish one, but I like to see them all in one place - Rosetta stone-style. English: "Will she find her final destination?" French German Spanish

I ended up going with two set-ups...one for the Waterfiends (range prayer, mage defense gear) and one for the boss (melee gear, mage prayer). I was pretty successful with the Abyssal whip, though I should have brought a better shield than just ADFS. Perhaps I need to invest in a true DFS, but since I made it through okay, maybe not?

What's the best weapon to use against the final boss (that isn't a Godsword or something like that)? Does anyone know what it is most susceptible to (crush, slash, stab)?

In part 6, where you need a rope to get down the winch, it might be helpful to some players that forget to bring a rope that pickpocketing some of the workers walking around the site can get you coins and items, one of which happens to be rope. It might do to mention it in that part for those players that forget to bring one along. It didn't take me long to loot one from one of them.

Perhaps the wording could be changed. Saying it's the strongest limits it to a narrow interpretation of what kind of armour it is. Saying it's the best would be too subjective. Point of fact, Morrigans isn't even the best magic defending gear in the game...the Sacred clay robe top (5) and (4) both rate higher. "If you are brave enough to challenge the forces of Armadyl within the God Wars Dungeon, you may be lucky enough to acquire these pieces of Armadyl armour, which are currently ____________ range armour in the game." Maybe "one of the best non-degrading ranger armours in the game"
