  2. it has already been shown that CLS is the middle between rapier and maul for safe pvp, even accounting for d-defender and damage reduction update. hmm this remonds me of the god books (only the first 3) everyone wants the one based around damage. no one wants the one in the middile. most people want the one based around defence. (althoigh the damage and defence ones kinda swap a bit for chaotic) but anyway, knowing how much maths people throw in to this thread, how much of a difrence would ddef make?

  4. The bind system is good, but it removes any reason for level 11 secondary items such as gloves and boots. There was some effort making these items and putting them as boss drops but nobody looks at them past the boss floor. What he's (Zamorak) asking is a balanced manner to introduce these in a way they can be kept. Offering more binds is not the solution. If Jagex raises the binding number, it won't mean people will bind boots as they'll bind another weapon or armor piece. However, if they introduce a "upper item" (weapon, shield, armor, slayer item) and "lower item" bind (glove, boots, and med helm maybe) so that a level 50 can bind 2 upper and 2 lower items then players have a reason to keep boots and gloves. Yes, it's more bound items but it's more of the minor stuff. Secondly, introduce a "DG Bound Item Box" that can be accessed at the end of a dungeon after a boss. This prevents players from shifting their strengths mid game, yet are not held hostage to one combat type or hybrid. Currently, you can be limited to the team you can participate on. However, at the end of a dungeon during the winter face(say a quicky at level 1) you can shift from Melee to Mage or Range and join another team as another aspect. That's not unbalanced as you're not given more binds to work with in a dungeon, and it's more fun and varied. So yes, the suggestions make things a little easier (bounded gloves and boots), and offer variety for players going for 120 (changing combat settings). Still, it does nothing more than make Dungeoneering more fun and approachable at very little cost to balance. Kudos to whoever thought of both ideas. The problem is, any idea that would make dungeoneering easier wouldn't fit the bill for that this thread is about- giving more variety. Ofcource you'd use gloves when you'd have more binds, but that's the thing- more binds- which makes the skill easier. I would understand something balanced like giving up binds for a gloves/boots bind or something of that kind, but the last thing you want to do is make it any easier. I can think of a hundred ways of how to make dungeoneering more fun, but most of them would mean getting 120 would become a joke, because, face it, the only hard part is that it takes quite a bit of time. the thing is, the goal is to make it more fun, but not easier. sometimes its imposible to get one and not the other. if i had the same amount of binds as now, but i have a bind bank and get to chouse for each dungeion, that would make things more fun but only slightly easier. i want more variety as much as anyone, and its just my opinion that bind banks and grater/lesser binds would achive that. yes, there will be sheep who just use the extra binds for stuff like prom gloves and boots just becouse they have prom plate, legs and 2h. but there also would be people who bind other things, i for one, given a grater/lesser bind system, would bind mage gloves/boots and melee plate/weapon. but if it must be so, other options can be thought of. a "bind power" could be one... you have a set bind power, that goes up level with level (so it goes up from dunge level: 1 to 2 to 3... insted of 1 to 50 to 100...) each item has a set "bind energy" so a t11 plate would be huge and would limit your binding ability. but a set of t7 gloves and boots would take LESS bind space then a t11 plate (unlike now!) this means you can bind many small items or a few big items, or anything inbetween. besdies, bind power sounds a lot more like dunge to me :P as you said, its one of many many posible ideas. im not saying its a good one, but it could be. it is simply my vew that stuff like that would be best, other options are posible. such as forceing veriaty upon people or simple makeing it more advantageous but stuff like that is what rants are made of. just remember, our vews may differ, but we are after the same goal.
  5. zammy spear: 85 stab, 75 str. korasi's sword + rune defender: 80 stab: 75 str. how much more stab will the dragon defender add? if more then 5 then stab weak monsters (besdies corp) will have something even more powerfull to fear. obviusly only for people who dont use the chaotic rapiure/long though. side note, supose you have a devine, and your boddy legs etc adds an extra 20ish% reduction. grats, now your undefeatible.

  7. a change should be made to ammo binds as to alow you to have more then 125 at certen levels/depending on dungeion sise. as for "flat out 2 binds" its an efective, although harsh, system. i feal it should be more like the idea of the "bind bank" where you can bind a load of items (aprox 3x now) but you can only take a set amount in (1, 2, 3, 4 just like how it is) alowing people to change class from say melee to mage without stuffing up there binds big time. however a system of a primeary and secondry binds would also be efective. prineary being like anything thats a: weapon armour (legs, shield, chest, helm) and maybe other stuff. secondry: amulets lowwer grade armour (boots, gloves) cape (if any is ever added to dunge) posible even a potion or pice of food (disposeible stuff liket that if used up carrys on as when binded, unles you sesificly chouse the "destroy" option) and if jagex like to anoy us, make this also where you put your ammo binds lol basicly meaning you can bind lesser things like amulets and boots while not restrainng your weapon and armour binds. edit: random pointless thought, upgrade your bind with ring classes. like a bind class or maybe spending enough tokens in a class type (melee, mage etc) will unlock a class spsific bind.
  8. yea, although a meleer is faster then a mager. a mager and a meleer is faster then 2 meleers. if i where to join a long term 5 player team i would use mage (at least as a secondry class), and go safe spot all them forgoten warriors ^^ my binds are: spear staff (i cant remember what one but i know its non elemental) surge box i put my ring classes on to mage and skiller. (after all, binds and ring classes go hand in hand, so really on a topic about binding you should note them) i wonder, would a meat-shield build be usefull? bind plate body and shield with the tank ring. enter the room first as to take the hits so your team can kill them of with little need to eat hopefully overall makeing your team use less food. obviusly this would only be for people you know and not random noobs from 117.
  9. i had a post in a topic somewhat like this. it basicly hold true for this thread two. that sums up what i think. the ability to 1 or 2 hit people with melee is way to high. while the other classes its too low.
  10. i would just the highest grade of spear i can use and surge box. hood if i ever find one. i think the the amount of 125 ammo is off. it would depend on the sise of the dungeon. small: 125 medium: 250 large: 375 or something like that. after all whats the point haveing the same amount of runes/arrows for a dungeion and one thats 4 times bigger? or another posible option is to make every time you get a new bind (level 50 etc) you get an extra 50 added to your posible ammo bind pile, up to 325 ammo at 120 dunge. now i never want range or mage NOT have to make ammo, but man give them some room to move, melee can finish an entire dungeion with zero use of any disposeible items (besdies food and keys obviusly). a simple option (well, its more of a side option that would work best added with one of the abouve) is to make monsters drop more runes/arrows. that way rangers and magers might still have a limited amount at the start but can still keep going for a while longer if they kill enough things.
  11. if i play a game for 4 hours and bot for 8 hours (with 50% efficency), then thats 8 efective hours playing. without bot thats 4 hours. yet jagex still gets the same pay for the one day. so logicly i am spending the same money but getinng levels faster. You talk about rules (fairness?) and I'm talking about fun. It's a game. Games are meant to be fun. If all you care about are rules, go join the military :thumbup: I'm trying to make this as simple for you as I can. Well, I'm not stopping you from getting the same hypothetical stats, so if you want to train all day go right ahead, I'd rather do something more useful. well the thing is, following the rules AND haveing fun is inportent. if you find getting levels fun, do that. if you bot to get thouse levels, then you may find it fun, but WE dont. just think, haveing lots of real life money is fun (not a time to start going on about you cant but happyness etc). so why not go steal some from a bank or print some your self? its the same thing. and the flame you would get if you suport the idea of people robing banks... thats just how it is. bad. an econmy without bots MIGHT be worse off, but it wouldent be much worse off. to say they keep pirces low means nuthing, maybe prices are MENT to be high? you cant justify bots. and even if you can, you cant. there againt the rules and in the end, thats it. there bad. there againt the rules. there unfair. that is the truth.

And I hate that there is almost no way to get the rewards at the level where you can use them. the rewards should have lowwerd costs not higher income rates imo. anyway yea, you bearly get enough tokens to do anything usefull, the cheapest reward requires level 34! after a while it picks up though.
  13. if jagex where to say have an offical poll "get free trade back" yes no. maybe. i would vote no. removeing resticting free trade was a benifit to the game, scamers and RWTers got a heavy blow that neather have recoverd from to this day. it just is not reaslly viable this day n age.
  14. im just gona keep it simple when i say: the game needs high level content. but that means hard, not just high level skill. im starting to get anoyed at easy quests that require me to train skills a lot that otherwise i wouldent (love story for one)

  17. i was jsut wondering, becouse if ur burseing lobs ur gona take a SoL anyway. would it be posible to not pray melee and just use its specal? even if the specal does block enough damage, at 100% bar useage (or 90% with that ring) how often would i not be able to use it?
  18. wouldent it be funny if the dragon defender was reised with a quest starting and ending at the warriors guild and the reward is to unlock a new set of cyplos (faster xp, higher drop rates of defenders, higher profit, dragon defender as a drop) but thay need a slayer level to kill. and dureing the quest for the boss fight you need the defender to kill it (why not! lol) and you can eather steal it or kill something for it. so it would be a quest reward, cyclops/warrior guild drop, slayer task and lastly a theafing item. overkill?
  19. people will say things like "value is subjective" or "im haveing fun so it does not matter" etc in the end. the guy makeing that vid said all that needs to be said. and never did he say you you should do. the way he speeks makes me really think if he wasent playing games, he could become president. no one here should deny how much truth there is in there. your choise to act upon the turth and maht you the truth means to use is all up to you though.
  20. nope, just rumored. defender is comfirmed, but in the same way as dragon plate boddy. we all knew it was going to be relised sometime but no one on the planet had a clue when. also probably too late for it to be usefull. goblins will drop a gravite defender. rats will drop the chaotic defender duh :P

  22. if i am not mistaken. all graves last up to 60 minutes. the only difrence being the time thay last without being blessed or fixed. 1 prayer point = 1 minute. when blessing and ripairing. if you want to know, it lasts 6 minutes when not blessed/fixed, meaning blesing it uses 54 prayer points strait off. that is to say anyone around you required at least 64 prayer points to fully bless you grave, up to 59 or 60. if your wondering, the AOD grave at 500k is totaly worth it.

  24. when you walk under corp he "stomps" you dealing large damage. but if you pray melee, he cant hurt you. alowing you to eat in safty. (i think)
  25. i think of all the skills, HP, err, con, is the one that would be best to make its max level 120. thats not to say it should be 120, but if any skill (besdies dunge) where to be made that level, it would be con. however if there comes enough hp boosting items like con pots or rock tails and/or enough damage reduceing items like chaotic shields (but usefull >.>) then there would be no need for hp to get any higher. for a while at least. although it must be said the in the end, when jagex finealy gives very high level (90+) weapons and armour etc and people go around hitting 2000 lp max hits with some uber kickass weapons. boosting con level to 120 or higher would be allmsot vital. just think, dclaws require level 60 attack and compleation of an easy quest (NOT wgs) to use. yes there exspensive but money can be gained in any amount at any combat level. iit hits large hits with its specal 4 times, twice. now think of a weapon with that spec that required 90 attack. ouch.
