  1. A little confused on what your asking. If you are trying to ask if adding ram to your machine will effect your data. The answer is now. Also your graphics card on your laptop is pry soldered onto the mother board and would be a pain to change. A desktop can be easily changed though.
  2. Remember Denvull also thinks cookies are dangerous it really surprises me he doesn't use ntfs.
  3. If that is what they say then why did you ask?
  4. I would try just putting the pins back. The computer should be beeping when you turn it on though, since it has no ram in it. Also if all the pins on the processor are not in there right slot it should beep too.
  5. Open command prompt and type the following. net localgroup Administrators /add YOUR_USERNAME
  6. http://live.tommccann.net/
  7. Make sure your pushing the mall the way down into the slot.
  8. Oh no! Firefox is screwed! Anyone who thinks that IE has serious capability for taking over the Firefox user base is wrong. IE is years behind Firefox. And as a web designer, I hate IE. It doesn't render anything correctly, and isn't web standards compliant. Take a look for yourself, use IE6 and switch the forum theme to TIFblack. AARGH! Now you see why I keep a portable installation of Firefox everywhere I go. I have had it where the css only works in IE before. For the most park though IE has the most issues though i will go there with you.
  9. Opera has always worked for me.
  10. No need for gloves just make sure you mother board handles that ram.
  11. Not really jsut stating that that is the Microsoft default.
  12. That is the defualt by Microsoft.
  13. Could you run hijack this and post it here? Or check your processes for CSRSSU[Caution: Executable File]? If so seems that your are infected with Trojan.StartPage.O. Click here for removal instructions.
  14. Ok you could try reinstalling internet exploder or try a different internet browser.
  15. Are you serious? OS = Operating System Liek windows Xp and Windows Vista and so on.
  16. I would keep away from sound blaster cards. There drivers suck. Horrible linux support too. I personally have a Extreme Gamer Sound Blaster and would never buy another creative for the lack of support and care of there customers. I once heard that the way creative designs there cards it makes it hard to make drivers for. Whether that is true or not is beyond me but would not surprise me.
  17. Seems like your talking about Internet Explorer. What OS are you using?
  18. Can someone lock this? This is just going to turn out into a big war.
  19. It will be different of course cause a cell phone is a cell phone and a mp3 player is a mp3 player ;)
  20. Opps your right that is what is in my main computer. I got that mixed up wit the scorpio. Any how i do have a 160GB 10k rpm Raptor.
  21. A little bit of what eggz and snipersas are saying. You might as well just do a new build. I don't know why you just want to replace the mobo. Also i will touch on what snipersas said about it not fitting. Dell has a tenancy to do things that aren't standard and that only to fit there hard ware. That mobo may not fin in the dell case and some of the hardware you may upgrade may not fit in the case right on that mobo. Bottom line is i would personally just build a new machine rather than try to rebuild that dell over time and just keeping the case.
  22. Had a raptor in one of my laptops ripped it out going to do dual hard drives in my one laptop and they are awesome.
  23. I do personally.
  24. Doesn't matter to me i use both.
  25. Which one do I click? I am using Windows, but I am slightly confused, which one do I download or are they all the same? EDIT: Runescape has now become very strange, I can only play it in Chrome on a fixed screen. Very weird. :? You would do the second one under windows. The online installation. You could also do the third one down the offline installation.
