  1. Your dad does not trust Mozilla Firefox? That runs on Windows 2000. Unless you were talking about anti virus programs, which I am sure there are some ones out there that still support Windows 2K (just look around) And I would seriously consider trying to get your dad to get Windows XP. It is so much better then Windows 2000. Good luck with whatever you do.
  2. Whoa you got Mod in your name, that really is an old account. Nice that you got your old account back. Personally, I would continue with the skiller.
  3. You are correct, and I hope you don't need to spam link either. The guy above you is a complete idiot. Windows 7 really is what Vista should have been.
  4. No, if you are going to install 64bit then that is a bad idea, even if you stuck with 32bit it's a bad idea because the programs may not work. Installing 64 bit doubles the chance of of them not working as they may not even have 64 bit drivers.. Out of interest why are you installing 64bit windows, although now days most programs & components have 64bit drivers/versions it is just easier to stick with 32bit if you don't need to upgrade. 32bit can read upto 4GB of RAM, the only reason I use 64bit at all is because I have 6GB's of RAM. 3gb. Not 4. No it is 4GB's of RAM, Vista had some trouble reading more than 3.6GB's but windows 7 makes better use of Ram. Yeah Guydabest if you plan on getting more then I understand, good luck. - Sprideau, I thought he was talking about a XP game though? and it's just generally well known that 64 bit can every so often run into a few driver problems, I have used 64 for a long time and don't get too many but there have been problems in the past, especially if you are using less heard of programs sometimes the 32 bit versions wont even pass the install. but yeah it is Quite Rare. It used to be less then 4GB, I guess Microsoft must have changed/updated it. And I thought Vista had problems going above 3.2GB, not 3.6. But I'm not sure.
  5. Yeah these days it's peripherals that are the bottlenecks, not interfaces. If you want future proof though, get USB 3.0, eSATA if you can, etc. I would also go with an ASUS laptop. Most all of their current laptops are powerful and good deals.
  6. Did you try using Spybot like it has been suggested? And what is the progress on your non working computer?
  7. No chance in heck i could sauder that. Its about as thick as 2 human hairs :S If i tried, i would just end up saudering them all together. Like I, and someone else, has already said, did you try to run a build, or even POST with that MoBo?
  8. SSD's have dropped a little in price. I just glanced on Newegg and saw a 128GB for $225 after mail in rebate (There could be even cheaper ones as well, I don't know). And I know you need at least 2 cards for things such as 3D surround, but I do not know if games have taken advantage of 3X SLI yet. If not, you could always use it as a PhysX card. OT: That is one sweet build! If I were you, I would RAID0 those SSD's you have for even more blazing speed, but that's just my personal preference I guess. Of course, this increases the chance of data loss rates, but it looks like you can just back up to other drives with important data. 3 GTX 480's! O.O I only have one GTX 470, which runs every single game I have on maxed out graphics at 30+ FPS (Some old, some modern). I guess you could use that power for things that use CUDA, like photoshop and some video encoding programs, as well as benchmarking, but that is a little overkill for video games lol. Although, video games are always advancing, so I assume you wanted a more future proof build, which was definitely accomplished (I would rather buy more price performance builds though). As for the CPU, that is a great one. I have the AMD 1090t Black edition, which is AMD's answer to the very CPU you got. Yes that Intel 6 core outperforms AMD's 6 core. To me though, I do not care about performance, I care about price performance. AMD's 6 core was only $300, whereas Intel was $1000 (And it is not 3 times better). If you want the best, go with what you got though. One sick setup my friend! I wish I could use the 3D surround, but alas, I don't have the cash for it. I can only imagine running Bad Company 2 on three screens in 3D... Have fun using all that hardware!
  9. Try using it? That really is the only way to see if it works... Just plug in basic parts and see if it will even POST.
  10. No, he wasn't teleblocked in the example. I don't get it. Why is it different from anything else, then? Because it is an item that many people carry around all the time. If you die, you get it back for free, and the free teleports I guess. But on PvP worlds you probably want to use one click Tele's. He just happen to have it on him, and the teleport saved his life. Meh, still not too much discussion value. Yes everyone should have it, in fact, almost everyone does.
  11. Several of my close friends have had the exact same email hack happen to them, so you are not alone. As for all the errors, try booting into safe mode and seeing if you still get errors. Usually you just press F[enter number here] like F7, F12, etc. (Many times it says on startup what to press for boot options). You should be able to open up Epson Scan or whatever you were trying to use, as well as other utilities to try and figure out what is going on. If your mom is getting her email hacked consistently, I assume he/she has infected your computer with some way to track key input. I suggest using a virus scan software like AVG, Avira, etc., and use SpyBot S&D. That checks for malware and spyware. If it's on Yahoo's end, well just call them I guess and let them know. Do all you can to protect yourself on your end though.
  12. Wait what? I just got on my computer...what is this about not being able to solve the clue? EDIT: Haha 101 users reading this topic...I can see everyone loves solving the clue for themselves. XD
  13. It doesn't make make sense, actually. You're supposed to get tokens based on 10% of your exp, in this case, you'll be getting 1/27, 1/25.5, 1/24, etc etc. I realize it's double 'EXP' weekend, but you get your tokens based on a percentage of you're exp regardless. If you are mad about them not doubling tokens in dungeoneering, then train a different skill. You can complain all you want, it's not going to change it. And don't give me that "I'm not complaining..." crap. Yes you are. Just pick some other skills and train them. No big deal. Dungeoneering gets rediculous XP/tokens to begin with. And now with the new floors, you can rack up XP/tokens very quickly without any XP modifiers.
  14. Wow these pictures get better and better each time. Some of those looks rediculously awesome!
  15. Makes sense that you don't get double tokens. You don't get double runes from runecrafting, or double logs from woodcutting. Personally, I am going to train skills that I hate, starting with agility. I can always just make more money and level con/herb later.
  16. I think you have a good chance. Several of my friends have been unmuted after years of being muted for some reason. I would give them not more then a couple days and you should know. At least, that's how my friends had to wait.
  17. Wait what's true? Can you clarify by what you mean with chaotic crossbow and 120 range? Is that the bonus or something? EDIT: I assume that's what you mean, because wiki says it has 120 range bonus.
  18. Platebody, or a Shadow Silk Hood if you can get your hands on one. Until then though, the best platebody.
  19. Tips for skilling. Well first off, do farm runs whenever you have time. Then, just level skills that you like. Whether it be agility, woodcutting, smithing, fishing, etc.
  20. Yeah I'm looking forward to this. MTK is going to become a lot more profitable over the next couple weeks.
  21. Agree 100%. If you REALLY want a GS, just get a BGS and save yourself some money. If you have a SGS and only 60 prayer, that needs to be fixed to not having a SGS and getting at least 70 prayer.
  22. It really is. HUGE amount more, and for not too much longer then doing a solo medium. Yes 5:5 large takes a little longer, but it is well worth it.
  23. Verac's can also hit through armor. But Dragons don't wear armor either I guess. Anyway, yeah the Z Spear really pwns. Wish I could use it..
  24. I agree. Make some more cash first, then get 70 prayer. Piety really owns.
