Gotta love freudian slips... You say you or the BNP aren't racist officially, but the above sentence pretty much gives insight to what the average BNP voters probably discuss in their spare time about politics and the exclusion of "ragheads" from british society. I'm not british, but I'm relieved to know the party doesn't have widespread support, just as the neo-nazi parties in other european countries disguising as "patriotic parties".

Agreeing with you here. I know quite a few Polish people now. All are hard working decent people, unlike a few Scottish people I know. I agree, nearly every person I know who originates from the balkans or eastern europe is an extremely honest, family centered and hard working person. The image of an eastern european thug coming to wealthier countries to exploit the "system" is outdated. There are rotten apples in every society, and sure, eastern european countries have more poverty; Why wouldn't they come to the UK for a better living? As long as they pay taxes and don't break laws, I see no reason why the BNP is against them so much. They can't even play the nazi race-card because eastern europeans are genetically and appearance wise almost identic with germans. Seems like blind xenophobia to me...

This is definitely legal, because it's no different from just keeping a browser window open and later selecting+clicking another world to join directly. It's not a third-party application or cheat either, it performs the exact same function as clicking the server on runescape.com. Now that inbuilt server-switching is in the game, this would be useless for "fast-hopping" as well. This would be just like visiting forum.tip.it: Instead of writing that manually, you just click a link to get here. Nobody gets an unfair advantage, all you get is a few seconds of saved time. Edit: Jagex has also confirmed that a shortcut link is not rule-breaking, and it has been approved by tip.it staff as well. This is a Jagex reply from another thread which is also linked to in this post:

Countries should preserve their cultural heritage... But if more people are going to come in anyways, why hate on them? Look at the US. The only people (sadly) that lost culture and had their country infiltrated by strangers are the native americans. But still, besides the southern states there is a fairly low level of racism, the country is thriving economically, even a fresh immigrant has realistic chances of becoming rich etc. Having many cultures and ethnicities in 1 country doesn't instantly translate to -> bad. The American colonies weren't just built by british rebels, they had inhabitants from all over the world, they intermixed and created an economy.. And look where it lead to. Political hostility aside, the US is a perfect example of what "diversity" can ultimately achieve. Sure, some minorities will statistically stay poorer, but those who put effort in education/small businesses will nearly without an exception get better lives for their families. And, it doesn't hurt you or me. Just walk around in New York. Within a small area you could see a mosque, church, synagogue and 50 other temples for religions you haven't even heard about. Who benefits from taking those as 'strange'?

All guys like sports cars or cadillacs. Just a hint. Alternatively, make something all by yourself. 8-) Even if you're on a budget, you can make a great looking cake. And if it tastes good, it's leaving a much better impression and permanent positive memory, than a $20 gift card to a clothing store where every decent shirt costs $50.

Well.. Some of those words in the pictures are actually real, neutral words, not insults... But adolescent kids have turned them into insults. Still, typing them out with ALT+num codes is bug abuse. You can report them.

I can't believe the amount of people who take this site as real in the comments section... Ever heard of 'not feeding the troll'?

Evolution is only "controversial" due to the religious lobbyists opposing it. Scientifically the evolution of species (including the humans) is no less a "theory" than the gravity "theory". It exists whether you want to acknowledge it or not, and it occurs in all living organisms at the level of micro/macroevolution continuously. Just about every accredited scientist accepts it, just like chemistry, physics, biology... Why wouldn't it be taught as a 'fact' just because a few nutjobs would rather teach an old storybook as a real alternative (which it definitely is not, not to mention not all students are christian to begin with) Also, the american public is an exception within western, industrialized nations when it comes to viewing evolution as fact. Other nations who score the best results in education, literacy, science and mathematics accept it far more widely: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news ... 29204.html As you can see, only Turkey is less fond of accepting the facts than the USA. -
With the divorce rates in the USA being over 50% now for new marriages within a few years of getting married, it's quite easy to say "marriage isn't for everyone". How is a bond that exists on a paper, and a speech made by a priest going to make you more faithful and loving? That's right, for most people, it wont. Monogamy is unnatural amongst mammals, just about every single species on Earth "cheats" on their partner during the span of their life. Young people are eager to say "yes, I'm sure I'll spend the rest of my life with him/her". But after years pass, you'll be surprised at how your opinions, emotions and desires will change. I'm not trying to be a killjoy here. But don't be disappointed if you find out the truth in your relationships. Human, as well as mammalian biology, grossly rejects the idea of total monogamy. Very few people will have the disclipine, and sadly, some of them can seem to be happy on the outside, but could have deep psychological issues of repressed wants and needs.

Why would jagex do that? Andrew has come to our site many times when RSOF and the site were down to explain what happened. Eh? What the hell are you talkin' 'bout? :-s Tip.it has had the privilege to be the first large-scale fansite with a very active forum since 2001.. Especially in the early phases of RS, tip.it was considered almost an "official" fansite for RuneScape because it became so popular, and the creators Andrew/Paul would often post here and commenting on new suggestions/debates. As RS became more and more commercialized though, they started posting less and less on tip.it. I doubt they even posted on other forums. We even have special avatars made for them: But as you can see from the post count, they don't really post at all now that they have the official forums re-opened (for quite some time now).

I just can't decide whether this guy is a troll trying to cause flames or if he's really an ignorant hillbilly from the southern states. What exactly have the japanese civilians done wrong to you to justify spending your tax dollars on using a nuclear device against them? A lot of kids died in those attacks in Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Kids don't even pay taxes! How are they a part of any war when they haven't barely even learned the alphabet or pronouncing their name? I find it disgusting that people advocating civilian massacre also wave flags and yell "support our boys in Iraq". US military (with the sad exception of a few psychopaths, such as in the case of the Haditha massacres) personnel is explicitly trained to avoid civilian casualties and protect innocents. What you see on YouTube Al-qaida propaganda videos are single incidents. In reality, especially higher trained troops such as Marines have very high moral standards and will go to great lenghts (even sacrificing their own troops) to protect civilian targets in a foreign nation.
-
I know that and I agree. But how much more is it worth? As much as it takes to save innocent people. It's not a fixed ratio. An army could assign hundreds of soldiers and lots of aircraft just to rescue less than 20 neutral, civilian hostages (hint: US operations in the Iran Embassy, 1979)
-
Okay, how many civilian lives would you be willing to lose for the lives of how many soldiers? I'd just like a ratio estimate of your opinion on the need to keep them alive during war, 'cause all I've read so far is "I value civilian lives infinitely more than soldier lives [during war]". When you're armed and hired/motivated to fight for a country or a cause, your life's value becomes secondary to those you are protecting. Heck, it doesn't even have to be the military: Even cops will put the life of a civilian above their own. I served as a UN peacekeeper in Kosovo 1999 for six months, and while much didn't really happen, I'd died in a heartbeat to protect civilians (even if it meant breaking standard protocol of only firing in self defense and not pre-emptively) if the serb forces had chosen to advance on innocent civilians and start massacring them like happened in Bosnia. Fortunately that day never came :? An unarmed civilian's life is worth more than a soldier's, simply put. I don't even see how there is a moral issue about it. (edit: sorry for double post)

What if they tested that new "weaponry" against your family members, brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents?MitÃÆÃâÃâä jos jenkit/japanilaiset olis kÃÆÃâÃâäyttÃÆÃâÃâäny sun vanhempia vastaan 'kokeena' uusia aseita? I don't see how attacking civilian targets in wartime, let alone cities holding hundreds of thousands of women and children, is justified under any cause, including "preventing further casualties". Would an american ground assault really triggered more than 300,000 civilian casualties? No... The targets would have been military bases, radio stations and soldiers. Not old women and kids.

Post this stuff in questionnaires 8-)

It's ridiculous to say "there would've been more casualties" if the US had launched a ground assault. The politicians couldn't care less. There would've been too many american soldiers dying, the public in the US would definitely stopped supporting the attack on Japan if they knew it would cost 100,000 american lives. You know.. Japan's army wasn't really weak at all. Their soldiers were well trained professionals fanatically devoted to serving the emperor. Unlike americans and their president, they'd suicide in a heartbeat if their emperor personally wished for it even for no reason at all. In a few years they had conquered land over 10 times their home country, including a large portion of China, Korea, and were threatening Australia (but couldn't hold it because their military didn't have enough manpower to hold such a big area AND the other conquests) The US politicians deliberately chose 2 cities which had absolutely no military activity whatsoever. They were 100% civilians (unlike Pearl Harbor which was a military base). Their objective was to scare off Japan. And it is pretty scary how you can just 'authorize' wiping off 200,000 civilians in 5 minutes with a political decision. Yet, the majority of Japanese don't hold a grudge against the US now. Just imagine if the japanese had killed 300,000 americans with a nuclear bomb. It would be probably prohibited to travel to Japan from USA even in 2007.

I celebrate thanksgiving occassionally with my family, just for the heck of it... But seeing as the celebration really started in the american colonies after the people had slaughtered 100,000's of native americans just so they can live there 'alone'... I don't have particular respect for that one

Read Sturgeon's law. It was originally meant to indicate lame science fiction which is uninteresting, but it's used for anything now. And it's pretty true: From my experience, this applies to everything... Rap, metal, RPG games, food, cars, consumer items, movies.... Think about it. I don't hate any music genre because of the 10% that exists. I've listened to great, good quality rap (with no bolstering about 'pimpin n cash').. I've listened to great metal/country/jazz/you name it. Hence I don't hate those genres. If any of you downloaded a lot of music and albums for example, you know what I mean. Eventually you'll just like a few tracks and even if the artist is good, you'll pretty much dump the other tracks or just plain out hate them because they're so bland and unoriginal.

Unlikely. They are more likely to sit on these details for months possibly even years before registering accounts in the childrens names. Those children ages 17 are the ones most likely to have their identities used by criminals when they turn 18. I know what you're thinking of, but then again, most people recieving the child care on their bank accounts are adults, correct me if this is not the custom in the UK... At least in the US, I don't know many families where the money is paid on the child's bank account (and in most cases, a young kid doesn't even have one). It's paid on the parents bank account (therefore, their identity is recorded), and they spend it ideally on their children and their welfare/hobbies [or booze..]

Please. Do not extend your resurrection activities outside of the game, such as to old threads.

That's just impossible to believe, that it was an "accident". And for some reason, this particular set of CD's sent by courier somehow got "lost". I don't think the lot of you quite understand how much money criminals could make by opening bank accounts/claiming credit/claiming benefits with total access to another person's details, pictures, home address, social security number etc. I really feel sorry for the families though that definitely don't deserve this. The records still haven't been found, they are probably being abused with a 100% certainty as we speak.
-
But those things are all really funny. I find the american society really twisted sometimes. I have never been in another country in which people would even think it's remotely "funny" to let a door slam on an old man/woman who's trying to carry his shopping bags home. Quite on the contrary, they'd start giving you flak about being such an idiot, at least in Europe. In middle-eastern or far-east countries? Not a chance they'll think you're humorous... Life isn't a big movie. When you ask someone for directions, you'd probably wish someone can help you, not make fun of you by pointing in the opposite direction. I don't lack a sense of humor, I just don't see how that's "funny". (Other than if you're 3 years old)
