Haha I used to do that in school 8-) Telling your friends 'the school bells will ring in about 3̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâý seconds' and being accurate isn't that bad..

Actually rocket propelled grenades and heat seeking stingers ARE used against infantry as well; Large concentrations. This isn't a waste of money; The explosive tips launched can be sometimes as primitive as a molotov coctail, filled with bits of aluminium and nitrocellulose, or unstable peroxides. They are often homemade, cheap to make and definitely powerful against personnel as well (Whether a hit of an RPG in your shoulder would let you stay alive or not is up to the quality of the explosive, and purely in an analytical sense the chances of surviving of a direct body hit would be pretty slim) .. No comment. Sorry, I just had to because your post is so ironic. You have no room to flame his grammar.

Yes you can, LIE. True, but what would you benefit from it :? Any 12 year old could say they're 30 on the internet but you could find out easily they lie just based on how they write, what stuff they do (a lot of 30 year olds don't really play Neopets and discuss the latest episode of digimon). - Anyways, age discrimination kicks in especially when it comes to prohibiting things, like movies. You can't see "passion of the christ" without being 18. Neither can you see some horror movies. Nevermind the fact that some kids who are 15-17 are mature enough to see those films, but a technicality is forcing them to ware the movies off torrents, P2P, etc.. Just because 'generally' people under 18 will be shocked by those movies. Or a casino... There are plenty of math genius and well behaving 16-17 year olds but they will never get into the casino because their ID birth date is 1 digit wrong: They must wait until they're 18 (or 21 in some states) When I'd ask about a given subject from a group of people, I'd value the 12 year old's opinion as much as the 50 year olds. I know a lot of kids who are smarter than some adults who hardly have any 'brain activity', they just go to a labour work, watch TV and sleep. They'd easily lose a game of chess, a literature contest, or anything intellectual to smart kids. Don't look at the age; Sure most kids online are jerks.. But look at the content of their message instead. Ignore the age, ethnicity, length, weight, background etc.. Of the poster. Just concentrate on what they have to say and you can learn :)

You're a brave little fellow. :) I've had experience of Kosovo and Cyprus but I'm not sure I'd be ready to enlist in Iraq (and not as a peace enforcer.. You're apparently a combatant?). The risk of death is very realistic so I wish you all the luck possible. I only know personally 1 guy who is serving in Baghdad, as a field medic and translation duties (Farsi/Arabic into english)+ radio interception. He could be very near to you, I can give you his email address but sadly I haven't got a reply from him since 2 months ago last..

Since like age 8 I've thought I'd rather die as a penniless bum or live as somebody who's well off, instead of being 'average'. Not that there's anything wrong with being average, but.. So many other people live that kind of life too, it's not a challenge. I treat life as a kind of game. 8-) If you were to think it IS actually a game and we're characters moved by some other beings in the universe, it wouldn't be that odd. Life has all the characteristics of a game. Try to surpass yourself.. If you like math stuff, try calculating the pi to 1,000 or more decimals. If you like experiences, try earning a lot of cash (come up with some plan because a normal job usually doesn't pay that well). If you like thrills or danger, get into the drifting scheme. Enlist as a peace enforcer in an unstable country. Get into motor sports. There's a lot of stuff to do in life other than studying and sitting in an office cubicle 8 hours a day.

I don't get it  Schools are insane these days. I got detention for being late like 4 times, or doing dangerous stuff. 3 hours for having your shirt untucked... I wouldn't even accepted the punishment. That's pure madness, I'm happy my school was at least somewhat normal. Wow.

Sadly threats must be take seriously because those police officers or teachers could lose their jobs if something happens because they didn't pay attention to the letter, phone call, etc.. Look at what happened during a much larger scale catastroph, the Katrina hurricane. Politicians couldn't care less about the scientists' warnings to strengthten the dam. Result? Entire town destroyed. Like it or not, sadly, there will be always idiots like that kid who wanted a 3-day weekend and wastes resources for nothing. (If I was still in school though I'd search for him all day for that $1.5k)

Diablo was a huge success, it would be a surprise if they wouldn't release D3, sooner or later. This time a full MMORPG could be worth a shot. While they're at it, they can run 2 MMORPG's :)

so true, someone tried to do something about it, his name was Hitler, and no one liked it. Hmm at least were at the peak of it all... Medcines save the weak, meaning the weak arent weak due to medcines making them as strong as the stronger! Yeah but now we live in an age where the weak, disabled, or diseased people can survive due to artificial means. This isn't the stone age where the 1 big guy survives by killing off competition and stealing resources just because he can. And I don't know why it would be a bad thing. You can't treat weak people just as "resource hoggers". They are living people who definitely didn't choose to be born that way. Everyone wants to be born healthy with a strong immune system. And for those who unfortunately don't, we have developed machines and medicines that will help them. :) I don't agree "weak people should just die out". As pointed out above it starts sounding too much like Germany just decades ago.

I haven't studied the 'healing' side of scientology, but I meant the religious side of it sounds pretty much like the nonsense Heaven's Gate feeds (or fed) to it's members.
-
Mottos are like horoscopes: Useless :P You can't go by your motto always anyway, no matter how positive it is. Life is volatile. I like this one from some japanese yakuza movie though (something like this in the subtitles):
-
Yes, the Bible is more factually accurate than scientological 'facts'.. Please refer to a similar religion, or rather cult if you will (Heaven's Gate) http://[Censored for time being].com/ekjmg .. People really believe this stuff. Here's a short quote of their beliefs: Jesus the space ship commander... :wall: It's comparable to the religious side of scientology, but.. Well, people have free will and some people are just plain dumb. They can believe that if they feel like it. While the Quran, Bible etc. might contain historical accuracy, the spiritual and mystical content of those books is directly comparable to the above text in 'factual accuracy' because it has no proof. Scientology wrestles in the same series. People will laugh at the beliefs of Heavens Gate members, but then they'll go to church every Sunday and believe some guy healed blind people, walked on water and ascended into heaven from his grave as if it's normal.
-
You can't prove anything supernatural to be true, neither can you prove a "scientological" god, an islamic or christian god, a buddhist god, etc. exists. End of story. You don't seem stupid, so I'm surprised at the length's you'll go for while defending your religion (which is by no means shared by all people). The Bible, Quran, buddhist Veda books etc. have no more proof than scientology. I do agree that the religion "scientology" seems like nothing more but a scam, but hey, if people believe in it.. It's not just a few people, a lot of highly educated people and rich people making millions a year believe in it :? It's their life so let them think what they want.. Because there's no "right" or "wrong" if you talk about religion. Religions can't rank above each other because they're purely beliefs.

I actually find this statement to be very true in all "faith" based structures and organisations. I was just 30 minutes ago watching a document on North Korea. Some western prime ministers got to meet him in a summit and they filmed it. "Why don't you apply social advances and redistribute wealth?" Kim Jong-Il: "In reality, we don't have those resources". So basically his government just keeps telling his people everybody is happy and has lots of food, socialism will triumph, crops are good, employment and productivity will rise.. And those poor people are so brainwashed they don't know better. They believe it and starve to death. They have no free media, they can't even exit the country legally. Before 1900... The church and islamic khalifs, imams, etc. were pretty much exactly the same; except they were trying to manipulate people by scaring them with "hell" or promising them "heaven" if they bent to submission and paid taxes and listened to orders. This system is good for maintaining power: It attaches it's desire to control people and use power on them by taxing them, using them to raise armies and further the leaders' own goals... All because the weak people of the system really believe what they're being told. Their parents were taught the same, and their parents before that....

Chos Magick..The all and nothing in only one word?
BlueLancer replied to Darkluniux's topic in Off-Topic
Really? Wow, where do you live? Sounds like an interesting place. Certainly not everything is probable, but everything has a set % of probability nobody knows. There could be an alternative reality where you, assasin_696 are the emperor of the world and the odds for that are less than 1 in 8000 septillion or higher, but the chance still exists. Why? Because it's a natural event. People's mind are subject to change just like our environment. Any change in society is possible. Is magic possible... It sure hasn't been proven yet, probably wont be. There is a slight chance somebody could utter words and coincidentally a lightning would strike. Then he could do it 2 weeks later and it would happen again. That's probably how shamans and others were created. They were just incredibly lucky and were in the right place at the right time. They could just say mystical stuff and the sun would turn black or the waves would get high. 99.99999% of the time, in other corners of the world, 'shamans' uttered words but nothing happened so they didn't gain power. Could the world be destroyed a second after I submit this post.. Certainly it wont but there's ALWAYS a small, almost inexistent chance that many nuclear weapons could accidently detonate. Never rule out naturally possible events like chemical reactions, social structure changes, changes in your life, etc... --- But if you think people can throw fireballs and really summon rabbits out of hats... You may just as well try to prove it :P It doesn't follow natural laws and hence I'd assume it's probability of happening even on accident is a round 0%. You can never know for sure but I think most people agree with that (in the light of current scientific knowledge) -
I wouldn't dare to put that argument in an Algebra assignment :P Fight the odds and construct as many houses as possibly all around the map. Best way to earn something... If you construct everything on 1 or 2 streets you may never earn anything if the dice doesn't favor you and everybody just walks past. If you build 4 houses, 1 every 2nd street, then a person walking past 8 streets on the board has an approximately 50% chance of having to pay you. If you build a hotel which earns you more but comes in a low quantity (1), a person walking past 4 streets has a 25% chance of having to pay you something. Therefore building hotels is just a piece of entertainment in Monopoly, not to be taken as a real way to win the game (unless you can build lots of hotels which you probably can't). Try working on that if you can make it to 1-3 pages...

Can control it now, but man did I have a short fuse just years ago... Losing my bus ticket or the computer tilting at the wrong time for no reason after I had typed 40 pages without saving.. Quite a few broken keyboards, mice, 1 monitor, cellphone... Now I can lose $3k in a poker hand and not feel anything 8-) After a few of these 'experiences' you learn rage fixes nothing, it can just end up making your situation worse because you need to buy new stuff you broke. I barely ever get into fights though. The guy has to be a real idiot, and I don't think I've met that many in real life. That's the only reason I'd pick on someone (making unnecessary comments, pushing people in a queue, stepping on peoples feet..)

 I can't imagine they sent that horrible excuse of a song to Eurovision. It's watched by hundreds of millions of people.. The people who made the decision seriously lack judgement. If I was a briton I'd turned off the TV in shame.. They deserved the low points.. I was surprised at the over-valued song of Serbia though. I even understand the lyrics 100% since I know the language, pretty much a cheesy ballad? At least Ukraine tried to entertain the audience. Didn't watch much of it though.

Let me interpret your dreams (just a bit of fun)
BlueLancer replied to IGoddessI's topic in Off-Topic
I never have nightmares, except 1 year ago.. I remember it, very detailed. I was at a poker table playing Hold'em in an unknown casino. I had the royal flush, and when I proceeded to go "all-in", the guy paid my bet and showed 5 jacks. I said that's impossible but a guy in a navy blue suit put a gun to my head and said "that's our secret". Then I woke up in a locked cell and my head was put in a full sink, the guys from the casino asked me if I know anything about "red hawk". I didn't answer so they threw me against the wall. I woke up again in some court room and the president was there (but it wasn't Bush it was some nobody), and he apologised, but refused to shake my hand because it was bloody. Then I woke up in real life.. -
Quite a narrow worldview.. "Emos or chavs" I dress up sometimes in a hoodie, sometimes I have a blazer (depending on occassions and weather obviously). I also got all kinds of stuff on my MP3: Trance/dance, death metal, metal, hard rock, classic, country, ambient, soundtracks, rap/hiphop, video game music, 80's... (Hate pop though but that's just an opinion) When you grow up you hopefully wont need to put people in just 2 categories 8-)

I prefer making real choices, because frankly that's all that matters. I don't care if my horoscope says "this week will be a bad one for you financially" or "you will lose a close one", just keep going on about your business, very likely nothing will happen at all. Unless you subconsciously believe that stuff and try to work towards being hit by a car etc. :? Think about people who get in accidents in the first place like getting hit by a car: It's not fate, it's their choice. Say, if they left their house just 10 seconds later (dropped their keys and searched them, or something) the car would've already passed and nobody would've been hurt. Or if somebody called them and they stopped walking for a while.. Or if you had a spur of the moment thing and changed the route to your destination. They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, like an ant that accidently gets crushed under your shoe. It's not 'fate', your presence is a sum of choices you made. (But you're free to believe what you want.) ------------- Edit- Inanimate objects can have a fate though, like distant planets or stars that will very likely have a life span, move predictably, then explode. I was referring to humans lives that are often hardly predictable at all. There's no way to predict all the lives of almost 7 billion people.

Why do some people like you have this huge urge to defend those people? They raped children, robbed honest people out of millions of dollars, killed innocent bystanders... Their opinion doesn't matter. They chose to do it and should be punished to the full extent of the law, or are you proposing they should be given balloons and a ticket to Disneyworld? "Being stuck in a correctional institution"... Jesus, they should be happy they get to live! You obviously have no idea about real poverty, or maybe you just haven't experienced it. A western prison, to a person in a third world country who earns $1 a day is a paradise, family or not. Those people don't even dream of buying books or having internet access.

If a ninja attacked my house I'd probably let him steal one item just out of spite because he has the balls to do it  That's one of the most random things that could ever happen to you while watching a movie with your friends. ..Your parents will really believe your explanation if the silverware or some electronics from the living room have disappeared. So will the insurance company. "A ninja assaulted my house"

Yeah, Estonia is definitely threatening the russians  A war memorial statue.. What a lame excuse to stir up trouble and put pressure on the ex. USSR block... The sad thing is Kreml actually supports those teenagers breaking places and robbing Tallinn, the capital, all because a "statue" was removed. Yeah right... If there isn't a deeper reason I'll go jump off a bridge.

Normal people 'work' to get those luxuries, those guys 'break the law' and get it for free. Not all criminals have friends or family, who knows if some of them get jailed on purpose in wealthier countries :?
