I started to reply, then realized almost all i wanted to say was already said ;) Quests that open up new areas and transportation should be first priority. Anyways, in addition to above, I suggest the Plaque city series. It is Ardounge teleport, but it is also the crystal bow and the elven lands. If you plan on doing clues, you definitly want to do Legends quest. Ghosts Ahoy for the ectophial, both for gettng around and because its very useful for farming. Then of course, sort your quest list in difficulty order, and work through the Novice quests. They are very often quick, easy AND required for other quests. Oh - and do unlock the lodestones all over the world as soon as you can, it will make getting around so much easier. I was about to put all the quest series but I decided to end with "go for quest cape". Obviously OP doesn't have to but doing most of the related TWW quest will have him set. :D And yes, do unlock lodestones. In fact, the first thing you should do in P2P outside the tutorial (if you do it) in walk around Gielinor and unlock lodestones. So places like the elf land you won't be able to get to but it good to know the map. You'll be surprised. Early on I still had limited transportation and did a fair bit of walking until I unlocked fairy ring, gliders, etc. Not as much as 07scape but enough to make transportation quest worth doing.

For quest I suggest doing them in order of release to follow the lore. Otherwise do all your quest series related to getting the full rewards for The World Wakes. Some series I started with were the Desert series - ancient magicks and ava device Myreque Series - Barrows Penguin Series - Penguin D&D, otherwise very funny Temple Knights - Lots of stuff Fairy Tales series - Fairy rings, big plus Fremennik series - Balmung, Managing Miscellania, DKS, lunar Magicks Gnome series - Transportation Basically you want to go for quest cape, as some of the bet rewards come from much later quest. It would be wise to work on your combat stats and save your dung tokens on a weapon like the main hand claw and cmaul and cstaff for slayer and bossing. However, if you plan to do a lot of dung and slayer over boss hunting I'd say buy a charm imp and bonecrusher but buy it with a bone necklace then herbicide. If bossing over slayer I'd go for weapons, then arcane steam necklace and bonecrusher/bone necklace. If you plan to skill a lot then buy the skilling scrolls. You want to do everything so basically most the dung rewards you want. I would wait to see what you enjoy most before spending, but you most likely save for weapons. After doing some quest you can find some bosses to do. For now I would suggest getting the Myreque Series done for Barrows, group KBD and trying group Bandos. When I started P2P I did a lot of Giant mole and KBD. When I finished most the Fremennik series I tried DKS in a group. When I got 85 herblore I did QBD. After 85 dung I did Frost Dragons. Otherwise I just killed dragons for their hide and did a little slayer. Most my early money making came from farming and Managing Miscellania (MTK). For armor, the best you can do is Barrows or GWD sets. Barrows is cheap face value but constant repair cost. However, it has lp boost. GWD sets don't have the lp boost and have expensive face value but had extra damage and not repair cost. Barrows would probably be easier to get for you and you'll probably pay for it with farming and MTK. Hope this helps. EDIT: I would also work on Player Owned port stats. The best stat you have is fishing so try to get 90 fishing and start ports.

Today marks 1 year I've been P2P. WHEEE~ Okay first some recent levels I got. [hide] [/hide] Next let's compare levels from then and now Since becoming P2P I've earned 1074 levels. I've completed 375 task most important being the hard Seers Village, Fremennik, and Morytania task. [hide][/hide] Quest Cape! I also probably have a <50m bank but whatever. I have killed every boss in the game minus Tormented Demons. I have been part of the EoC Beta from start as well as NIS AND HTML5. I died lots! Yay! So now that a year has passed it's time for new goals. Here they are. 99 mining/smithing by end of summer 99 Fletching 99 Slayer 90 base Full Testu Full Death Lotus I did a lot of work this year, not as much as others but I made lots of process. Next year I hope to make more.

[hide] [/hide] So I'm not in to PK culture. I have experience PKing, both safe and dangerous. In fact, I do it once a year like I'm taking a pilgrimage to some Mecca. And while I generally don't like doing dangerous high risk PKing I can see how important it is. Also, I'm a skiller, which is why I am generally sad there is a possibly for a nerf to come. Whenever something is just too good we expect a nerf to come and history has shown Jagex does it. This time they have a reason too. First I wanna say I love the exp from it, and while I hate stepping out there for anything, I will for 300k A DAY. That said, Warbands is just to damn safe to justify that amount. Players have been saying, "I hate Warbands. Earn your skills LEGIT" or "I love it, don't you dare nerf it." Some follow my line of reason and say, "Yes, we love and will do it every day but we KNOW that exp it just so damn OP". And then I started thinking about TS_Stromrage's earlier post, The Wilderness Food Chain. With this update I can 100% say Jagex knows this food chain but hit a snag. One FC managed to monopolize it, control it and like Chicago Gangstas delete the food chain. Tell me what small team, large team, or even small clan will attack a 100 man strong FC? That is the point we reached. We got to step 3 but instead of a transition to step 4 FC decided to provide protection and monopolize what is now an industry. But I really think there is no need to nerf warbands. In fact, I think with a few changes we can get the food chain back on track. Well I had a few but I could only remember two at the time. 1) Instead of 1 big camp with 3 skills, have 3 camps with 1 skill each. Spread it across the wilderness so instead of having 50 people in on camp you can have 16 to 17 across the map. It gives a better chance for each medium pk teams to pk considering majority of the people who warband are non – pvper. Also, since people like to wait for certain tents for certain skills each a small team has a chance if only a few people go to a camp for say, farming, when most are looking for herblore. 2) Increase the level of the wand of treachery to level 75 and include a level 75 offhand such as the orb of treachery. I’m sure I can come up with more but I do think it’s possible to improve warbands with out the nerf hammer coming down.

TL;DR But seriously, her utility is different that others and she clearly values $8 into childcare, bills, etc. than efficient training method. $8 pays for 1 month of Netflix or Hulu plus (possible decrease in cable bill) 13 packets or ramen noodles or 1 loaf of bread + 1 packet of Cheese + 1 packet of luncheat + a 2 litter of Pepsi or 2 boxes of Hamburger Helper Copay at a doctors office with insurance 1 music ablum from your favorite band on bandcamp If she doesn't want to spend $8 on scape then fine. Her gaming experience, not yours. Now then... More goal updates in F2P pl0x.

You know, it's funny but we are actually really good at complaining. We say Jagex needs to listen to the majority I can only recall 1 time the majority and 1 time even the half the player base wanted something so bad, and those are the reverse of the removal of free trade and bringing in OSRS. For all the crap we give Jagex few of us have hardly said "Thank you". What's worse it that the player base at this moment looks like the US Congress. There are so many lobbyist groups that it's hard to get a majority on anything. Only difference between US Congress lobbyist and us is that the former seems to get stuff done for them. They are good at making themselves look like the majority when they aren't. We always say Jagex needs to do more for us how many of us have looked at what Jagex is trying to do and offer help? Every new update is "Oh this will be DOA" or "Lame, do something else" or "Lrn2fixyourgame". Even the "Great job Jagex" aren't as helpful as they can be. That's all we do, we [bleep] and moan. When EoC was in "official" Beta form few players played it. It's fine it you don't like it but if players actually thought about what Jagex was doing they could have gone "Well while I don't like it I see what Jagex wants to do and I think if they did this they could achieve it". And no I don't mean "Get rid of EoC". Long story short Jagex wants new players but instead of helping them get them by collectively offering new ideas and insight into how we play their game we complain with our own lobbyist group.

It is interesting. Can I be the one to point out the different demographic between the two games? Many on my friendlist are currently taking it slow due to end of term university exams, and intend to hit it hard after their exams have passed. Does Jagex have a public source of demographics? I think the player base alone can convince Jagex to work at the game. Afterall, how else did they get OSRS. One of the problems I see is player questioning if they should go to OSRS because they don't want to waste time getting pk ready when in a few months it will be gone. Imo, it appears then it isn't Jagex's fault if OSRS fails.

Oh this can't be good. Quick, hide it before the EoC and OSRS extremist come back to "debate". In all seriousness this shouldn't be another EoC vs. OSRS debate. It should really talk about how we can keep OSRS alive, which I think OP was trying to get to (which I think there is already an existing topic, tweeks that should be added to OSRS).

If you really want it to stay then you should just go do it. Players who go "I don't wanna waste time if it's not gonna last" will be one of the reason why OSRS fails if it does. Without F2P new players won't come in but it can last if older player still keep at it. so go play. :D
