This is a typical case of Analysis Paralysis. You're thinking too much, instead of acting. If you believe everyone has an ulterior motive, how can you trust anyone?

Just like the study, I think your comment highlights an error of judgment. We often hear of kids behaving badly in the media or by word of mouth, but how often do we hear about kids doing good things? Never, because it doesn't make good news or gossip. This doesn't mean that all kids are bad, it's just a selection bias that skews the perception of young people. And if your basis for that comment is a sample of people you know/in your school or something similar, often things like that are affected by a sort of memory bias - you're more likely to remeber the worst examples and this skews your perception. Personally I wouldn't trust anyone's anecdotal evidence in this case. If people really want to prove that kids are getting worse, they'll need to do controlled studies. I question the validity of this study. They should have had a lie detector hooked up to those being asked the questions, because in these days of moral decline, I fail to see how we have improved since a generation ago (obviously, I did not exist back then, so it is not based on personal experience).

Yeah, you have a point. But I suppose in the rarity of those questions it's better to just post them here. I have used AYI myself, but not for the same thing as you would be using it for. I just use it to talk to different types of people. I couldn't really do internet dating, since I like to actually meet the person before seeing if I want a relationship with them. They aren't immoral or stupid. A lot of people use them for sensible reasons (like yourself for instance), but some may just be very socially inept, but this is besides the point. You're being fed this crap by the media, making you think that what you do is wrong (such as how the media in the UK feeds teenagers with stories of how we are scum and yobs, and it makes us perceive ourselves how the media portrays us). In terms of finding someone to date, you get a very large range of people, including those you might not assume would use those types of sites, for instance, cheerleaders (you'd assume they would have a waiting list of people to date, but these internet sites suggest otherwise). I think most of the violence surrounding internet dating is to do with paedophiles, and paedophilia in general (I'm not going to bother explaining why, since you already know why paedophiles use the internet as a means of getting victims).

It's sad that I get the joke. I like to try to be original, but it's hard when you don't have a creative brain, and every woman you can go out with will have been on different types of dates. I meant upgrading to windows 7 :P I'm still buying the laptop, but the one I'm buying comes with Vista 32bit. And I have access to a 3 User (my dad bought it for our computers, but only one license has been used) Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, but even if that is the case, I'd probably just buy a usb wireless adapter for it (I hate in built ones with a passion).
