  1. Apparently not you. There's a reason about some complaints, not everyone could do the glitch, yet anyone that clicked the penguin multiple times was perm banned, regardless of whether or not they got more than ONE point. This shows lack of CS skill. If you don't even know anything other than what Jagex is brainwashing you with, then there's no reason to even post about this issue. So you think they're deliberately lying to cover this up? Because the official statement directly contradicts you. Only accounts with 250+ extra clicks were perma-banned. Yes. They are trying to hide the fact that they are embarrassed because they can't even REALLY see who abused it or not. The only thing they could do was see how many times someone clicked the penguin. Now assume someone heard about the glitch, wasn't sure if or how it worked, so they then clicked a penguin many times as it kept saying "You have already spotted this penguin". The player is confused as they heard the glitch allowed you to keep spotting. Finally, after 5 mins of clicking it trying to figure it out, someone tells them the glitch only works on certain accounts. The player then leaves as they know why it did not work. 2 days later the player gets banned permanantly for bug abuse even though they gained absolutely 0 points, they got banned for CLICKING the penguin. Sure, attempted bug abuse could be punished fairly. Permanant bans? That's over punished. Only 159 players received permanent bans. All of them had re-clicked a penguin 50 times, went to Larry to claim the xp, went back to the penguin, and repeated the cycle at least 5 times.
  2. All of the quests you've named are the last that's been released in their storyline so far, except for the Great Brain Robbery, which is followed by Rocking Out. (Of course, all of those storylines are incomplete, so Jagex will eventually release sequels to them all at some point or other.)

  4. One time I had about 200 kwuarm seeds in my bank that I had bought for 3k each, and I posted on the forums that Kwuarms are more profitable to plant than ranarrs because the seed is 3k and the herb is 3k so the average profit is blah blah...and another guy was like, no, kwuarm seeds are like 6k...so I checked and I was like  and I sold all of my seeds for a big profit. Another time someone asked for a PC on my Bandos Plate and I realized it was 2m higher than the price I bought it for. So I sold it...and later on it eased back down to the original price I got it at and I bought it back.
  5. I'd recommend training slayer for charms at those levels, simply because her slayer level is too low for a lot of useful content that requires higher slayer levels. She could fight waterfiends at that level if she brings potions and good food, but it would definitely be a lot easier with a bunyip.
  6. All of these were poorly edited. They're riddled with errors. That said, I liked the articles by Necromagus, but I thought TS Stormrage's article meandered too much. Is it trying to say that Stealing Creation is awesome, that new training methods have ruined old skillcapes, that Distractions & Diversions are fun, or that Distractions & Diversions are taking the place of traditional skilling? Stormrage, you look like you're trying too hard to cover everything. Pick a thesis and stick to it! You don't need to talk about every aspect of the topic; you just need to talk about the ones that support your argument.

You could look further back in the thread for hundreds of pages of debate about the numbers. I skimmed over that part m'self because frankly I thought it was boring, but hey, you asked.
  8. Yes they are. The Wilderness has plenty of zombies...just not armoured zombies.
  9. Im training at the stronghold on spiders and Im just using guthans to heal. Im not training with the guthans only healing with it. I also dont have to heal that much due to the fact im 99 defence. Mhmm, spiders have no drops to pick up, so you might as well just use food since inventory space isn't an issue. Better experience cuz you don't need to swap to a weaker weapon.
  10. Nah, you made that up. :shame: Okay, that's a little blunt, but you can't quantify the effect a training method will have on a person's enjoyment of the game, because it's completely subjective. You can take it into account in your personal gameplay, but it doesn't factor into any of this. Besides, I would argue that faster experience does more to help someone's morale than the speed at which one's imaginary coffers empty, especially since you don't need to get all the money at a given time if you don't want to, and you can stop to replenish it at any time.
  11. Let's say drag bones are 2.3k ea. 288 exp with ecto 252 exp with gilded altar It will take 250,000 exp to level up. That's 993 drag bones with altar or 869 drag bones with ecto First is 2,283,900 gp Second is 2,065,400 gp Alrighty, 220k isn't that bad of a difference. Or is it? 92-99 is 6.5 million exp That's 25,794 dragon bones with altar. And 22,570 dragon bones with ecto 59,326,200 gp with altar 51,911,000 gp with ecto Basically, you pay 8.4 million gp for "convenience". Granted, people who have 60 mill to spend on prayer is like my having 21 mill and spending about 1.5 mill. You can buy a lot with 1.5 mill, but it's not as much as 21 mill by far. If I were to spend all my money on skills, I'd go the somewhat slower way and make it as efficient as possible time wise and then spend the left over money on something else *cough*magic*cough* than spend all of my money on one skill just because I'm impatient. Then again, that's just me. And just to say what that 8.4 million gp can buy, it can buy 4.2 million magic exp. That's about 94-99 magic right there. But of course, pc is my best bet since it actually EARNS money. And at lvl 98 prayer, the exp rate is almost identical to dragon bones with ecto (~288 exp per point). You haven't factored in the extra time it takes. If you're sacrificing 60 hours to save 8.4m, that's obviously not worth it, because in the 60 hours you saved you could have made back the 8.4m and then some. The ectofuntus is less efficient. Pest Control even more so. If you're getting the same xp for each point that you would get from using a dragon bone on a gilded altar, that's obviously a waste. Even if you can PC at max speed, with 2-minute games in the highest lander, that's the equivalent of 4 dragon bones every 2 minutes. 4 dragon bones is about 8k. If you're, say, 120 combat, you can add the money from the game and get 9.2k. So you're saving 9.2k every 2 minutes, which is a total savings of 276k gp/hr. But if your combat level is high enough to PC at that speed, you can easily make more than that killing green dragons. It's not worth it.
  12. That's what I meant, but I'm not sure if I can withdraw as an item at any bank. You can. If money is an issue, you could make anchovy pizza and turn a profit when you get low on funds. Don't fish your raw fish. Fishing is not very good money.
  13. Gilded altar is faster than the Ectofuntus. The time you save is more valuable than the relatively small amount of extra money you lose.
  14. They weren't.
  15. I would point out that if you're powertraining, then you wouldn't be using Guthan's, because it slows down your experience to switch to the spear. Guthan's Spear is much weaker than your whip. You'd get faster experience by using food. Also, if you're gonna use Guthan's, don't bother carrying a second set of armour. You only really need to switch the weapon.
  16. Nah, it isn't a hotspot. Much better xp and cash though. Well i dont want cash atm, just need some pvp points while training :) Why do you care about drop potential if cash isn't important to you? The only reason to build drop potential is to get more cash from drops.
  17. Nah, it isn't a hotspot. Much better xp and cash though.
  18. The recharging cost is the same for all pieces.
  19. How is this possible unless you're talking about buying the Battlestaves from the ge? Battlestaves are 8356 gp, air orbs are 1097 gp, nature runes are 230 gp. 8356 + 1097 + 230 = 9683. Air battlestaves alch for 9300 gp; thus, you lose 383 gp for making and alching the air battlestaff compared to selling the materials used to make and alch it.
  20. [*:37mrnozl]If you go purely by skill, the firecape beats all achievement capes, but after that the quest cape has to take second place because it's the only one that is impossible to achieve through mindless grinding (with the exceptions of farming and summoning and perhaps slayer as well, which can still be obtained through grinding, but it couldn't be mindless.) [*:37mrnozl]If you go dedication required, the quest cape needs more time in the long run, because it's the only cape of achievement where the time it takes to achieve it is continually increasing. As new content is added, all other skills get faster to max out, but quest points get slower to max out. [*:37mrnozl]You couldn't judge by popularity, because the hiscores don't track quest points. [*:37mrnozl]You couldn't judge by entertainment value because fun is subjective. Likewise, you can't evaluate based on the colors of the cape. [*:37mrnozl]You could try to use the rewards you get as your criteria, but because of the nature of quests, the rewards come mostly from individual quests and not quest points. (Most skills are much the same in that they max out long before 99.) Also, just as with the time needed, the rewards from the set of all quests are continually being added to as new content is released, but that's also true with skills to a (much) lesser extent. Frankly, I'd say skillcapes are better because they have a prayer bonus. I don't respect people based on what they're wearing; I respect people based on what they say and do. Seems like a much more effective method of judging, tbh.
  21. How does one do that? I'm not up on this whole dungeon thing  Pull the lever.
  22. I can provide some data for enchanting air orbs. In my testing, I was able to charge 500-550 orbs per hour with a terrorbird. That's roughly 40k exp/hr with ~150-200k gp/hr profit, depending on the prices you buy at. Making/alching battlestaves loses you money, so just sell the charged orbs. People buy 'em.
  23. Armoured zombies are your best bet. Use your sara sword and just pray piety the whole time...there are a couple guides to armoured zombies in the guides forum around here, so you can look those up. Zombies would be better experience, better profit, and probably better charms than slayer, so using slayer all the way to 99 strength is inadvisable. However, if you don't already have a good slayer level, you ought to have at least 55 for broad bolts, so slayer would be a convenient way to train until then. And if you don't already have 68 summoning, you might consider training on a good charm dropping monster until you can use a bunyip, since they're very helpful at armoured zombies. As far as your equipment, use salve (e) for your ammy and use zerker > warrior/explorer for the ring. Fury > glory for anything else you're training on.
  24. Definitely worth it. It's the best investment any slayer could make. The 15% bonus is indispensable.
  25. There are no wielding requirements. The number after it is the charges. Black masks come with 10 charges that randomly activate to reduce your opponent's defence. They can never be recharged, but the charges are worthless anyway, so feel free to ignore them.
