  1. I heard that it's useful for summoning pures, which would make sense, I guess.
  2. You can also use the RuneScape toolbar to notify you when they reset.
  3. Depending on how exactly it works, Equilibrium should give the best DPS boost.
  4. If your goal is a max cape, you should not be maxing skills one at a time all in a row. That's a bad strategy because it wastes all your incidental xp, like effigies and the time-limited methods (like the circus) that are more efficient than straight grinding. It also limits your ability to combine skills, like mining/superheating for magic/mining/smithing, or curly roots for woodcutting/firemaking/farming, or slayer for slayer/melee stats/summoning/effigy skills. Don't get caught up in skillcape fever. Tunnel vision is only going to slow you down in the long run, and it puts you at a greater risk for burnout. Diversify a little. You are better off getting everything to mid-90s and then later continuing to 99 than you are chugging along at each skill until you max it out.
  5. ...Which is another less than zero expected profit on average. This has got to be like the worst moneymaking advice thread ever.
  6. Start doing herb runs now. No reason to wait. I wouldn't be surprised if you got 99 just from torstols by the time you finished those other goals. Then you'd save hella money cuz instead of spending mils on trees, you earned like hundreds of mils in profit, or whatever.
  7. Surefooted would be good if you had like 45 agility, but past 70 you're not going to be failing or walking and it'll be pretty much useless. I have Call of the Sea. It's not very exciting. "Oh yay, I catch fish slightly faster, this is so sexy and amazing."
  8. I would go with the second one, unless you've been seeing fire surge tearing up the PVP scene lately?
  9. Slightly above 100k xp/hr average with torstol.
  10. Mining as well. I was thinking farming tbh Farming is one of the fastest, actually.
  11. Probably not a good plan. Rocktails are very slow profit. They're not really a real moneymaker. Would be a little like training crafting by picking flax and spinning bowstrings because you need the money. You should consider C2 fishing. With 90+ fishing it's faster than heavy rodding, IIRC, if you do it right.
  12. You bring noted coal and unnote it there, either by selling it to the shop and buying it back or by asking Ordan to unnote it for you. It should be possible to get like 550-ish bars per hour with a war tortoise (28k-ish xp/hr, 600k-something gp/hr) if you can get the furnace to keep running okay (I think you can do it with just one person, but it would be easier with a friend or two). Pack yak is better obviously.
  13. You could just check their thread, you know. [qfc]75-76-956-63020173[/qfc]
  14. Odd that you should list smithing as costing money and fishing as making money; smithing is much, much more profitable than fishing. (Smelting runite at the blast furnace is like 600-700k gp/hr or something.)
  15. Soul Wars cape is better in every relevant stat unless your whip has somehow gained a Stab option, so the choice seems obvious enough.
  16. If you recall, we only found the stone because we stole his research and followed him. It was Movario who figured out it was in the chasm, not us--he just couldn't figure out a way down. And once we showed up, it was his idea to cast the blue flame spell to get the light creatures to go down instead of across. If he hadn't decided to help us, we wouldn't have gotten very far. If anything, we're the idiots--how many years did we go through that cave and never even suspect? It's more likely that Lucien just didn't care about Hazeel. Notice his completely ignoring Zemouregal during the ritual.
  17. I wrote a counterpoint to the first article, like, two years ago.
  18. Looking at the GE price jagex set, I would think it's less (like 1/100). 2.5m gp for an item that takes 6-8 hours to get, is pretty low. On the other hand, we all know how well Jagex knows their game... Maybe it's 1/128.
  19. Not to the max hit--to every hit.
  20. Given the KB's track record, I think I'll go with Word of Mod on this one.
  21. I don't see why it shouldn't be--there's one additional brother to kill, but you still only need to kill six brothers to maximize the chances of a barrows item, so you can just skip one if you can't get all seven in time.
  22. Yes, 71 hunter for hunter potions would be much better.
  23. Yes it does. Source
  24. If you can get 40 kills/hr and the drop rate is 1/10, that's an average of 25 hours per staff. At 200m gp a staff, that would be an average of 8m gp/hr revenue from shards alone. If you only get 30 kills/hr it's still like 6m, and if you can get 55 kills/hr, it would be more than 10m, still from the shards alone, no boots or anything. I don't think 200m is a sustainable price.
  25. Don't know if you noticed, but you actually can attack Lucien during the battle. Try it. I suggest spam-clicking "Attack".
