in after elitism and inb4 "you need overloads now otherwise you suck" you do not *need* a rapier as soon as possible. you can do perfectly fine with a whip until you decide you need a rapier. However, the rest of above peoples comments ring true. farming, slayer, questing, herblore are the ones to work on now youre a member. summoning too when you decide to do so

I think the fastest xp/points is doing duradel/lapalok then every 10th task going to kuradel. Or you could simply just do kuradel non stop as she gives fewer annoying tasks than duradel/lapalok and in general, her tasks are easy to get to as theyre right in her slayer cave

get 99 defence if youre not gunna pvp or dont care particularly about it. 99 defence is for bossing, questing, anything that isnt pvp. if its pvp youre after, plan your build stats and see what def level is best for you. plenty of pkers on here to ask for advice EDIT- you just posted while i was typing. if youre a pvm and quester, get 99 def, or at least train it however far you can be bothered

id reccommend doing some temple trekking first, getting the constructors garb. that way too you'll be able to get either herbs etc to sell for cash, or if youre lucky construction xp tomes. either way in the long run, the garb will save you time and money. as for what to build, tables/larders are pretty much always the best bets until dungeon doors. go for oak/mahogany/teak, depending on prices and your bank
