H2PM
There's a game called "Dust" that is a FPS, and it's a PS3 exclusive. However, it's not out yet, and it's not going to be for a while. And to answer your question, get Skyrim. Demoli
I'll probably get Mario Kart 7, believe it or not, I have never owned, and rarely played, any kind of mario kart and I'm quite curious about the series. Oh, and steam xmas sales. If skyrm is below 40 euros, i'll probably get it, otherwise I'll only get lower profile games/older ones.

highlanders
I actually didn't like skyrim that much. *dodges tomatoes* It's okay, the production values are high, but I found it difficult to care or get involved in the story. The follower, Lydia? or whatever her name is, kept dying whenever things got a tad tough, which was annoying. It took forever to move from one place to another, even with the horse. Also everyone's gonna say skyrim because the other two games are not out yet so we can't know if they're good or not... 2480+ total
nine naked men
Only game with "dust" in the name I can find/know of is From Dust which is already on xbox, ps3 and pc and that ain't a fps. I think he's talking about Dust 514, a console MMOFPS (apparently), which isn't coming out for a significant amount of time. @highlanders - The beta for SWToR has been opened for a pretty long while for everyone who applied, and I don't think it's very wise to get into an MMO as soon as it comes out for a variety of reasons unless you're v. interested in the game's settings, or you've been in the beta and enjoyed it. And, with the other game not coming out in time for Christmas, Skyrim seems like the only reasonable choice out of the three. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
decebal
Skyrim. Definitely Skyrim. Tip: don't forget your shouts, your local map, and the fact that there's a dude with a horse cart besides the Whiterun Stables that can travel to any major town. Those are three newb mistakes I see everyone do.

tripsis
Just wondering why shouldnt i choose swtor? What are the disadvantages of it?My guess is that Skyrim had already been released and claimed to be the best game of the year. People have played it and know it's absolutely epic, whereas people here probably hadn't played SWTOR yet (maybe not that many people here in beta and it hasn't been officially released yet). I think a lot of people see SWTOR as "just another WoW," whereas Skyrim is supposedly a bit more revolutionary (I say "supposedly" because I haven't actually played Skyrim). SWTOR is honestly quite similar to WoW in UI and game mechanics, but if you like that kind of thing then you'll probably really love the game. My opinion will be fairly one-sided since I haven't played Skyrim, but I see SWTOR as a game that will hold my attention for longer than Skyrim. I feel like I might be able to play Skyrim for about a month and then I'd feel done with it and that would be the end. But I know I'll be playing SWTOR for many months (or even years) to come. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
obfuscator
I kind of agree with the Skyrim thing. It was epic for the first 75 hours, after that it felt like I ran out of stuff to do short of repetitive meaningless tasks. It's still totally worth it for the first 75-100 hours though. Vezon Dash
Skyrim is nice because you don't need the internet to play it, and it doesn't cost $15 a month to play.

Because i didnt think you had to pay monthly for swtor Are the controls for swtor detailed? Is the combat good, does it take skill? And is the game like runescape but better because i like runescape but feel its too simple with only the mouse? Still cant decide :wall:

Ieyfura
It's all based on preference really. If you've played Bioware games before, and enjoy them. Go for SWToR, they've successfully implemented a solo play option into an MMO if you're dead set on avoiding playing with other players. (from what I've read) On the other hand, if you've played Bethesda games, and enjoy those, go for Skyrim. I personally found the game to get rather stale. BUT, I have a ps3, so of course my experience wasn't all that great. If you have the PC to manage, get Skyrim on the PC, and only on the PC. The modding community will turn Skyrim into something beyond epic once the creation kit gets released. Which if you're more a casual gamer, the Creation Kit might be out by the time you hit the stale point in the game (about 80ish hours in depending on how you play) I'd put more on SWToR's explanation, but I haven't played it yet. :( (my PC is garbage) "Don't get in my face, don't invade my space. Miner_Guy
Realised swtor, just as i was about to buy it, has monthly fees. So im buying skyrim instead which is really annoying as i wanted to get swtor. I dont understand why they make you buy the game and pay monthly its just stupid and i know it has lost them alot of potential customers..
