They drop enough waterskins to keep you supplied usually. I brought runes for humidify, but didn't need to use it once.

At 99 magic, using fire surge on steel dragons with arcane stream, staff of light, full slayer helmet, and ferocious ring, I barely break even, if not lose money. Unless you're using cheap spells, I'd think magic isn't very effective for steel dragons if you're planning on making money. In fact, I don't think steel dragons are in any way good for making money. If you want the bones, kill green or blue dragons. If you want the dragon platelegs/skirts, it's not worth the time, they're too cheap nowadays.

Did i mispell bucket? Bucket is item you use to get water from a well. In my case i am thinking of one made of metal. Like a drip of water, or a rattling metal, or a crashing sound? I didn't hear anything like that in the fight caves... Unless it's your shield? I think I've heard sounds that could be described as a crashing bucket coming from some shields.

Note about the screenshots... "You have not proved yourself worthy to enter here yet" ...is from the Champions' Guildmaster. That's free content, the reviewer makes it sound like they can't gain entry to the guild because they aren't paying the whopping 6 dollars a month fee, being descriminated against. Instead, they aren't allowed in because they obviously haven't played this game very much, not even completing many free quests, which are all quite easy. The other screenshot, he's talking about how "everyone's a bot" and in the image, he's talking to NPCs. [wagon]. "It's a Facebook game that predates Facebook" This tool certainly hasn't played more than an hour or two, and can't begin to fathom the depth that Runescape has to offer. Talk about an in depth review. He didn't even bother buying membership, even for one month. It's like a movie critic posting a review of a movie in a newspaper based solely on what they saw of the movie in the television advertisements. Too cheap to even buy a movie ticket.

Afking spiders with fire blast and max negative mage gear seems silly. Unless you're talking about the level 1 spiders in Lumbridge basement, which I doubt you are, I'd think doing more magic damage=more magic xp. Unless you think you'd kill the spiders too fast for them to respawn, but this is magic. If melee/range can't do it, magic surely can't.

Here are some things you should change, though: -Rune dagger should be used instead of the sword because you can poison it. -D med should be enchanted with scrolls. -Use an ammy of magic to increase the chance of super effective bolts activating. -Bring an anti-dragonfire shield, it reduces some of Nex's special attack damage, and doesn't reduce ranged attack bonus. -Bring a ring of recoil, every extra point of damage counts. OR bring an explorer ring if you have the stats to complete the medium diaries, the free cabbage port saves tons of money. OR both!!!

Submit a bug report, that's your best bet.

"Wasting time and effort" implies any effort was put into this update whatsoever.

God, I hate that. It's honestly helping everyone if they'd change worlds, unless they actually want slower xp.

We do not have to give you reasons, the OP asked for opinions on what we thought was better. This is supposed to be a forum thread, not a poll. Maybe we should stamp "Discuss..." at the end of every topic.

I agree. People get too worked up over nostalgia. If you people are really serious about it, go ahead and play Runescape Classic.

I honestly don't see how that could be called "linear". The game allows you to do what you want in any order. I see a linear game as "start at level 1, complete that, go to level 2, complete that, go to level 3, do not pass go, do not collect 200$" I just don't see how you could make Runescape any less linear. What bothers me about Runescape is the constantly changing prices, and opportunities to train skills. One day you might buy the materials to get a higher level, and the next day a new update is released that makes it much easier to train, or the prices plummet, so you could have done it much easier if you waited. Or perhaps, there's some bonus xp weekend, or magical gloves that increase your xp gain. Whatever it is, it usually makes me feel regretful when I see that if I held off a little longer to train a skill or complete a goal, it could have been much, much easier.

If the last 5 years of updates never occured, I doubt I'd still be playing.

I was part of that line, it was pretty wacky. Just walked into the GE, saw two or three people doing mage cape emote, I decided to join in. There were a bunch of people saying their names in hope of being in a Youtube video or something, how pathetic...

I have to admit, that's pretty good.

Oh boy, I'd sure love if there's a 97 slayer requirement to kill it. That way only like <1% of the Runescape population can enjoy this update. Good luck finding a team...

I didn't know they nerfed Champions! Woohoo, maybe I'll play Conquest again for some fun! However, it would mean having to sacrifice my "1337" rating...
