I'm not sure myself, but a great way to test weapon damage is at the Combat Academy. Just set up a dummy and keep using slice until you get a crit (ability crits are just the max hit). Mark down the damage, then switch weapons and compare their max hits. While this does show you which has higher damage, you have to remember that accuracy is very important too. Usually higher damage weapons will also have higher accuracy (because they're higher level items in general) but there are a few anomalies in which this isn't the case. For example, Elite Enhanced Excalibur has higher DPS than level 80 offhands, but only about 60% the accuracy (thankfully offhand accuracy doesn't matter much unless you're autoattacking).

8200 is over 90% of my lp in full tetsu, the best armor in game at the moment. Add to that the attack will hit that high up to 4 times, and that this is only with one person using berserk. I can hit about 4200 with assault only using a chaotic maul. I'd imagine it'd be quite a bit higher with drygore weapons, not to mention they're so much more accurate. And they could have something like 9% chance to hit their max (nocrits servers pls) so you're kinda boned if they get a berserked assault off. But berserk technically puts them at a disavantage, because they also get halved armor and start with no adren. You could use your adren on invuln ultimate if you have a shield, then they're pretty much killing themselves by using berserk. What if you don't have a shield? They're still at a disadvantage as soon as they activate berserk. Just assault/asphyxiate/slaughter/destroy/sneeze on them. They have no defence, no adrenaline; you have 20 seconds of unimpeded murder-rape. It's a big "if" they can get assault on you themselves, but you practically have it guaranteed. Berserk is only novel in PvP, at worst it's a suicide button. Stick with using it in PvM.

Except berserk also causes you to take double damage, halved armor and of course you have no adrenaline after using it. But imagine two players in PvP, both berserk... Quadruple damage? Jesus Christ.

Nothing "locks you in place", but combo attacks might delay your movement by a tick or two. Just don't use combo abilities when you predict an attack that requires you to dodge. Just because you're bad doesn't mean the game is bad.

What annoys me is the inability to move while doing a long combo one. If i click to run away it should cancel it. But it does cancel it.

Yep. Funny thing is, now "decimate" (swore it used to be called "smite") and havoc do less damage than slice. Not to mention, they still share a cooldown. That gives 2h the advantage of better exclusive basics (smash, cleave) vs. dual (decimate OR havoc - both are shit). However, DW has generally more powerful thresholds, albeit only against a single target, and they're combo attacks. Use 2h for hitting multiple monsters with quake, whirlwind and cleave, and prioritize DW if going against one monster at a time. The more monsters, the more 2h's AoE shines. It's also worth noting that at lower levels, when you have less abilities, DW would have a slight advantage because the faster autoattacks will come easier in between your more spaced out abilities. I know we're not talking about magic, but you should know that the way autocasting works has been changed. No, not the autocasting different spells in each hand (which is a bad idea anyway). It used to allow for an autocast to fire off every two abilities (for 2h, not sure about DW or single) but now the "auto attack cooldown" resets after each ability, just like ranged and melee. Kinda shitty, but the ability damage for magic has been upped to make up for it. Also, now you won't really need to spend as many (or any) runes as long as you keep spamming abilities.

You stink. I've been camped there since doing the quest last night and haven't got a single glove/pet drop. Frankly I'd be perfectly happy with just the pet, no fair. :P Took me maybe like ~4 hours. Honestly, I would've preferred gloves first... Ahh well, this little guy is pretty adorable at least. When I got him, he was in a "dormant" state. I had to poke him to activate him, and I thought this meant I could trade him while dormant. But I tried to pricecheck him, and it says he's untradable.

Considering how the quest played out...I think the hype was deserved regardless if you think it was too short or too easy. The key points of the quest are just too momentous to ignore. While Guthix Sleeps is still the most epic quest to date. Sure, a lot of it was filler, but I really LOVED all the dramatic buildup from hours of world-spanning questing. TWW and RotM were both quite self contained. While their impact on the story was huge, the quests themselves felt way too short.

The Guthix Guardians got pissed off at me (a bit, but they kinda got over it) but I don't feel like my decision changed anything. It's not like I let Sliske in advertently.

Neither. They seem pretty stable. But if anything, I'd assume they'd keep rising. Just go for it, they're at a pretty low price now.

Omali... I... I... thought you were better than this. Irregardless, I agree with your main point. Gambling is eating away at the people's interest in the game. One little "transaction" can make or break you in an instant. Either you get a load of money you didn't earn, feel overwhelmed and unaccomplished, or you lose a ton of money and get frustrated. No matter which way you slice it, gambling is also a scam. Not only can they just nab your money and run, but the hosts are profiting off of you with their 55-45 odds. If you play their game you lose.

I doubt we'll be seeing any progression in the Mahjarrat storyline. RotM and TWW will probably both be requirements in the next installment, however. While I really hope some of the extra "rewards" will include lore and progress in the various stories, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Every tick you are in combat, it degrades one charge. For example, if you are safespotting with an average (6 tick) weapon, you lose 1 charge per 6 ticks from attacking, and none from defending. If you spam abilities, which are one per 3 ticks, you lose 1 charge per 3 ticks. Being under attack by a 6 tick weapon has the same effect - you lose 1 charge per 6 ticks attacking and 1 per 6 defending. If you are under attack by a 3 tick weapon, not being hit on the tick you attack, you lose 2 charges per 3 ticks. If you are under attack at all times, you lose one charge per tick. On a tick you're being attacked 100 times and also attack 100 times, you lose one charge as well. How many charges do they all have?

Awesome. So how long does Nex armor "really" last anyway? I never understood how chaotics, Nex armor, and even Barrows armor really degraded, but it's definitely longer than advertised. Anyone have an EXACT figure?
