  1. This shit again? You realize that in the non-members game, there is only ONE DRAGON in the entire game. Once you kill her, she is DEAD. FOREVER. You don't need to wield an anti-dragon shield with a staff. On the case of dungeoneering, it's actually been made leagues easier. Monsters hardly do damage to you anymore. If you bothered trying it before hammering out dozens of shitposts whining about it, you'd have realized that in seconds. You're F2P. The best armor you can buy costs a few hundred thousand gold TOTAL. You should have no issue affording all the best armor many times over. ~Qi "If you quit, QUIT" Fu
  2. I hate that phrase. It makes no sense. It should be "when all that's said is done", meaning everything you planned to do has been done. Pedantry aside, I do like the idea of this aura. It's much better than giving us a free one million xp lamp or some shit like that. Like the Mad May necklace, it gives and xp boost, meaning you actually have to train the skill to get the xp. I think the entire concept of xp lamps should be phased out and replaced with xp boosting items, like SoF pendants. When I first heard of pendants, I thought they would be replacing lamps entirely, but alas...
  3. Aren't you several years behind on that? Thought they got rid of that long ago. Shit, they did? I thought all they did was raise onyx's tokkul cost to ridiculous levels, so it would almost never be worth buying chaos runes and trading them in. I thought that's what kept onyx prices from going crazy when it was made to cost 2.7m tokkul. Well if we're going to need a lot of tokkul to repair the armor, and the only way to get that tokkul is minigames/killing Tzhaar, that's gonna blow hard.

I first heard about Ace of Spades on /v/. It looked interesting, well the building/FPS team based combat idea did anyway, but the gameplay was incredibly bare bones and the graphics were awful to the point of nausea induction (protip: never look straight down). Glad to see it's getting more attention. I went to see /v/'s reaction to the new direction the game is headed expecting a shitstorm, and I got a shitstorm. Oh well. /v/ popularized the game, and now they hate it. I feel like this has happened before...
  5. Already had all of those games... I got them during the Steam summer sale for 50 bucks total. Funny, because I only recently got a new computer that can play them (old computer pretty much borked), so if only I knew there would be a Humble Bundle, I could've saved myself 45 bucks. Oh well. Shame to hear about THQ tanking. I hope this doesn't mean the Dawn of War series is screwed too.
  6. I'm betting we need tokkul to repair these sets. Like... a lot of goddamn tokkul. So much, it's going to be totally useless because of all the goddamn tokkul we need to collect to use it. I really hope it isn't that bad. I really want some higher leveled armor other than Nex, and I can't wait another week for Player Owned Ports. But I'm almost certain we're going to need tokkul to repair it. [manipulation]So buy out all those gp to tokkul conversion commodities before it's too late![/manipulation]
  7. So one half what they were before... thankfully double one half is one, so I don't think I have to worry.
  8. Is it confirmed there's going to be a double drop weekend? If so, [bleep] YES. I saved my darts... for this very occasion... my plan... is falling into place...
  9. I don't think the upper echelon of management is incompetent as much as they are seedy, shifty, shady, sleazy, scummy, screwy, sneaky, scandalous, and all in all shitty.
  10. So where are the glowing disc weapons??

The armor bonuses are still different, though.

.3% ignoring accuracy, overkill etc. Because criticals supposedly increase damage by 50%, it would be .15% increase in that case. Just halve the percent boost and that should be roughly your DPS boost. This is all assuming criticals really do increase damage by 50%, though there is much evidence suggesting that it's more complicated than that.
  13. What good is dual crossbows for, other than Unload? Wouldn't any other tier of dual wield range do the same damage for that ultimate anyway? Ability damage stems from attack power. Range attack power is a combination of weapon and ammo. Lower tier can't use such good ammo. Atleast thats how I understood it to work. The ultimate does 20% of the opponent's max LP per hit. Ammo has nothing to do with it. However, I'd imagine accuracy would have an effect on that ultimate, so I guess that's a reason (but not a huge one) to get dual chaotics. Besides the ultimate, dual wield range seems awful. 2H level 70's look a lot more powerful from what I've tested, due to the "only main hand damage is calculated in abilities, unless otherwise stated" clause. The only reason dual wield melee doesn't suck (as hard) as dual magic or range, is because it has a sizable amount of dual wield only abilities to make up for the weaker main hand damage.
  14. I thought dominion tower gloves not degrading was intended. I sure hope it is. The bonuses they give are rather small over other gloves, and I think if they degrade they wouldn't be a very enticing reward anymore. Unless they buff their passive, because all it seems to be doing now is "reflecting" a few single digit damage points back at attackers. It's awful.

I don't get why people spend time to "reduce the cost of crystal items". Why not just use them like normal? If you use "grind" them to destruction, you're only losing money, not "saving it in the long run". I don't get why Jagex spend time to "reduce the cost of bandos warshield". Why not make it a unique shield? If you "undermine" their value by making blessed spirit shields straight up better (due to the prayer bonus), you're only making BWS useless, not "increasing the number of options available to players in the long run". I don't get why Cheefoo spend time to post like a moron.
  17. Is there a way to know for certain when a hit is a max anymore? Or did you just think that criticals are the new max hit splat, which they aren't. Critical hits are still a mystery to me. Sometimes I'll hit multiple criticals in a row, and they'll all do the same damage. Also, I've had a few occasions where I've used a multitarget ability, and all the targets were hit with the exact same damage. I am baffled muchly.
  18. You, sir, are a noob of the utmost degree. My evidence is as follows: 2% crit bonus equates to ~1% DPS increase. While that is a difference, it isn't "ridiculous". I assume you're only blowing that out of proportion, as you tend to do, seeing as you think killing 300-500 Glacors without a boots drop is "nerfed to hell and beyond". When you claim it's best to kill the sapping last, because you "don't really use prayer there" it furthers my suspicion that you are a noob as only a noob could ignore the massive DPS boost prayer gives them, while, in the same post lauding a 1% boost as "ridiculous". Studies show Ahrim's wand does not degrade. Perhaps I sense a bit of buyers remorse over a foolish purchase of an overpriced wand? A likely motive for such a destructively noobish post. Furthermore, YOU SPELLED "PRACTICALLY" WRONG. The prosecution rests.
  19. 3/10 would not bathe. Didn't even mention wizards.
  20. The way magic auto attacks work is a bit different than ranged and melee. They seem to sneak their way in between abilities. I think that would make 2h staff better DPS than wand/shield even without taking into account the accuracy. But I suppose magic is still the most likely candidate to use a shield setup on, because it's still much closer DPS to 2h than it is with ranged or melee.
  21. I'm just excited for the 30 minute overloads that are to come with the next GM quest. :). Huh? Watchu talkin bout?
  22. Wearing the wrong armor does hurt your accuracy quite a bit. It depends on the style. I believe melee attack is reduced more by ranged armor than magic armor, magic is reduced more by melee than ranged, and ranged is reduced more by magic than melee. I could be wrong, though. My brain stopped working an hour ago.
  23. Remember, if you have the money lying around, you might as well grab Bandos armor. Assuming the price doesn't drop (so now might not be a good time; wait for things to stabilize) you aren't really losing any money like you are with Barrows. You can re-sell Bandos to get ~100% of your money back, but repair costs for Barrows is gone for good. And who knows, Jagex might decide to put Bandos, as well as the other Godwars armor, back up to level 75, as it was in the beta for some time. It's really up to you in the end. The repair costs for Barrows is still very low. I believe it only got multiplied by 3, and nil tripled is still roughly zilch. I'd probably still be using Barrows religiously if I wasn't given a free set of Bandos, and I intend on keeping it for "sentimental value" alone. But I digress. It's not a matter of Verac's vs. Bandos. Simple solution: you should be using Dharok's set if you're ever meleeing in a rather safe environment (so you can stay at low health and not get murdered) such as slayer or some bosses. The damage boost is ridiculous, and works on abilities. IN BEFORE NERFFF!!!
  24. Got this earlier today. Hmm...
  25. I know for a fact Dharok's set effect works on abilities. By the way, use Dharok's. It's really really good. I believe godswords' passives work on abilities. I haven't been able to see for myself, as my Bandos godsword's supposed defence drain is hidden by my level 95 curses' defence drain effects because they both have the same icon on the combat interface. Guthan's effect didn't work on abilities when I tested it in beta, but seeing as that was also the case with Dharok's... I could test this myself. EEE's effect is a total mystery to me. I haven't been dual wielding much because I just hate it for some reason. I don't know why it's just so god awful compared to 2h.
