  1. 77/80 crafting- This one I'm least sure on. I was thinking emerald or ruby bracelets. Any insight on good crafting training methods for me? Apparently the best way to train this is by crafting green dragonhides for those who don't mind spending loads of money on it and making battlestaves for those who are a bit short on cash. To be sure, here's the full guide I read: Zybez Guide to Crafting 74/80 herblore- I was thinking prayer pots or ranged pots, after checking into prices. Anyone got a good potion for lowish cost/exp? Oh darned it. I really have no idea for this, but you could check the guides written for this on the Zybez or Tip.It website. Here's a link: Zybez Guide to Herblore 72/80 construction- Oak larders right? Anything better than that? Flatpacks that sell, etc? Oo, love this skill. Oak larders are okay until 74 construction. Flatpacks are a big no no though, remember that. At 74 Construction, make and remove oak dungeon doors with your butler grabbing planks from the bank as you go. Check my thread in my siggy for a detailed explanation of how. 75/80 smithing- I was going to use the blast furnace to make mith bolts, that's still the best right? If you have completed the Family Crest Quest and have the goldsmith gauntlets than smith gold. I'm not fully sure on this, but it goes at a blazing fast speed and doesn't need any coal. The only downside is you loose about 250 or 300 gp every bar you smith, depending on how much you buy the material for. Here's the guide on how exactly to do it: Zybez Guide to Smithing
  2. That is quite a lot of planks and it will take you quite a while. I see that your Construction level is very low, so you'll be using the old and slow method for a while. I recommend you get a butler immediately after hitting level 40. He requires 5k about every 7 or so tasks he completes. In other words, for the 243 tasks you'll get him to do, you want about say, 1.2M or so in cash. Just to be safe I'd get 1.3M, as he does sometime requests for the cash earlier than after 7 times. Starting at your level, assuming your house is in Rimington, grab some teletabs or teleport runes (teletabs to save space) and grab some oak planks. Teleport to your house, build oak larders or oak flatpacks in your workshop, and then teleport back. This should be relatively fast to do. Remember to choose either Varrock or Falador teleports as they are cheap and the bank is close by. Once you reach level 40, you can get a normal butler. Unless you're going to host a few parties, I recommend never getting the demon butler. This is because for the extra 5k you spend every 7 tasks, you can only get 5 extra inventory spaces. Firstly, you get the butler to grab 20 oak planks from the bank and build the oak larders. Keep repeating this until you eventually get level 74 Construction. There isn't much variation to train this skill, as you pretty much decided yourself it was going to be oakies only. Now once at 74 Construction without any bonuses, you can head to your dungeon (if you have one). Not only do Dungeons serve as a great fun place to fight with your friends, but they can help you train a lot. Build and remove the oak dungeon doors, sending the butler out as you build if you're fast enough. This'll get you 25k xp per 10 minutes at minimum. My personal max was 29k in 11 minutes. Hope my advice helps ya and good luck on that 80 construction! I'll be training with ya!
  3. I was browsing this thread and the RSOF at the same time but then saw this rather stupid post. It made me rofl irl though. [hide=Rather Big Picture][/hide]
  4. Thanks Kahpias for the err template? 1st: Money- Haha, Construction can make money? Don't think so! 2nd: Time- Exact opposite for me, Construction takes a long time and determination. 3rd: Power- Well, power as in combat power isn't what Construction is about. I just love the fact you can build something that you can call your own. 4th: Rarity- This might've made me love the skill more. I just love being ranked in the top 8k. 5th: Real life- My parents are big on housing, but I never actually could build anything. 6th: Just Liking the skill- Owange factor. I loved Construction from the start. Got 39 Construction at 49 CB. 7th: Competition- Nope, non of my friends are going for the 99.
  5. Here's one: ...When wearing full runecrafting robes and the ring of charos (a), then takling to Elriss in the RuneCrafting Guild, she talks to you about The Eye of Saradomin, also known as the Stone of Jas. Quite an impossible notice. Saw it on the RuneScape forums.
  6. Oh, whoops. Sorry, I didn't see that episode for a year or two now, thanks for correcting me!
  7. Hmm, cool topic. Very interesting, although you've got a long way to go. When I clicked on here I thought I'd see a list of thousands upon thousands of RuneScape players, but of course, that wouldn't be too possible would it? Anyways, I'm very sure you'll make it to a thousand at least! Good luck! Xiaogege - California
  8. Seogege, the name of my Tip.It account, is not my RSN. But of course, if you looked to the left just under my avatar, you'd see that. Xiaogege, is my RSN and here is its story: Years ago, when I was quite little, my mother used to call me "Xiao Ge Ge". In chinese, that meant "Little Big Brother". Quite confusing grammar wise, but it meant I was still little, but growing up every moment. Well, okay maybe not, but that's what I take from those three words now that I'm older. ;) Anyways, I chose to take this name and use it in my RuneScape account. Other than that, my Xbox Live Gamertag is also Xiaogege. The reason my Tip.It name is Seogege is because I got quite annoyed from people calling me "Xia" or "Xiao" or even "Ge Ge"! The meanings of those are "Shrimp", "Little", and "Chicken" or "(makes me a man)". Of course, this got annoying so, one day, when I got my Macbook (grr Microsoft ftw!) to say my RSN, it pronounced it "Seo Jee Jee". My mother quite liked this (don't ask how she found out about it) and said how cool it was. I thought, what the heck, its better than shrimp. So here I am, with Seogege and Xiaogege as my usernames.
  9. Oh rofl, that's how you know they really do love each other. My ringtone is something that came with the phone. For any Motorola users, that's Digital Signal. I don't like the crappy quality songs played on cellphones, kinda ruins the song.
  10. Definitely. The newer color remakes were based on Rod Serling's scripts, but were written by other people. If it isn't black and white and doesn't sound like Rod Serling's writing, don't watch it!
  11. I'm for 80. Remember, the Dragonfire Shield requires a defence level of 75 to wield. Not only that but the godswords require 75 attack. The only problem is, the godswords are 2H's. ;) Most just go for the whip when using a Dragonfire Shield, and barrows, bandos, armadyl, or 3rd Age when using godswords. Plus, 80 just looks better.
  12. Hah, there are more than 1 million members now. ;) Concerning my answer, I'll give it to you straight. I'm all for P2P so I'll choose F. Here are my reasons: 1) Members, of course, will have more active accounts. Tell me, how many people just leave an account sitting there, $5 going away for nothing every month? This makes the F2P numbers basically useless. Autoers that were banned would be of no use, and the skillers and secondary accounts would be too low leveled to make any significant change to the end of the war. 2) Members have far superior weapons and armor. For example, 4, 5 or even 6 level 60-70's with full rune up against a single level 110+ with dharoks and protection prayers will loose. The reason being, I was once a level 65 with full rune and a dlong, and lemme tell you, the dragon didn't help much. Hit a few 0's, a 5 and bam he hit a few 30+'s. Death almost instantaneously. 3) Members have one of the biggest mass hitting attacks, Ice Barrage. Think of how many Castlewars goers have Ice Barrage. Now think, remember getting hit a 25, 30, 25, then dying when you were still level 70 at Castlewars? Yup, you were ownt by a bunch of Ancients wearing Ahrims right? Yup. 'Nuff said. Here's a scenario for you guys to contemplate: Level 100 P2P vs. Level 126 F2P The P2Per could use a dark bow and dragon arrow spec to kill the 126 easily, with the F2Per only able to hit a single 10 or 20. These hits could easily be healed with a pot or a shark or two. End result, F2P pwnt. Yes, I'm so sure that all the F2Pers have full rune and are level 60-70. I'd say the average level of F2Pers (just my estimate) is no higher than 40. Maybe even lower. Sorry F2P folks.
  13. Well, they can be used where you don't need super fast healing like thieving, and as someone said before, the Fight Caves. I have never heard of anybody using them though.
  14. For melee, my favorite weapon would probably be the whip. I was stoked when I could finally use one, and loved it of course. The speed and power of it is great, almost like a d baxe and d scimmy all in one. But then of course, counting the godswords (none of which I can afford without selling everything I have), out of the ones there are, I'd choose of course, the Saradomin Godsword. For magic, my favorite spell would be Ice Barrage. But I don't really use magic as a combat skill and so cannot use Ice Barrage yet. :( The most practical for me to actually use would be Fire Bolt. For ranged, my favorite weapon would be the Dark Bow, but since I also cant use that, it doesn't much count. My next favorite would then be the magic shortbow. The special is quite cool, and it can fire all the normal arrows from bronze to rune. Its quite cheap and easily affordable, but still hits well.
  15. Haha! Its back to the old RuneScape Classic days now isn't it! Anyways, I'd really look forward to "taking over", as you say, the deserted small town of Rimington. I train there quite a lot, and find its trees so peaceful and different from the others, due to the fact that it is the only place I cut oak logs! I would dominate the place because well, no one is ever there, and its usually a random level 50. Of course, on the major House Party worlds I find a lot of high levels with bandos and godswords. Intimidating. :ohnoes:
  16. Might be odd, but mine is Construction without a doubt. Most of the people who hate Construction hate it because they either don't get the skill, can't get the right materials, or think its way to expensive. Well, I have to agree that it is a bit expensive, but that's what makes me like it so much! Anyways, here are a few of my other favorite skills, listed in order: 1) Woodcutting would be my second favorite. You can talk with your friends, level, and make money at the same time. Great to fund my Construction training with and a great multitasking skill. :) 2) Prayer would be my third favorite. The main reason being, it just seems so interesting, requires quite a bit of clicking, and costs quite a bit. I seem to have a thing for expensive skills. :? 3) Summoning, the newest addition to the RuneScape skills, would be my fourth, and last on my list of favorite skills. So many people hate it mostly because, well, actually summoning your creatures give barely any XP! Well, I find it very unique, beneficial, and of course, expensive. ;)
  17. Seogege replied to zwyrm's topic in Questionnaires
Seeing your thread title include the name of a skill I absolutely love, I immediately clicked and started writing this reply. :P Well, I've tried counting up the current cost of my house, but gave up. I estimate it to be around 10M. Adding the cost of previous furnitures and rooms I've built, I'd say perhaps 11M or 12M. Of course, I'm ready and willing to spend much more, and would rather like a house much better than the one I have today! :
  18. Yes it did, but it was quite exaggerated. Some details were also changed which include the library he was in (the man in Futurama was in a big library with bookcases and a roof), the beginning of the story (no wife haggling him), and the way it ended, which was the funniest \ . Instead of him breaking his glasses, on Futurama his eyeballs fell out (because he said his eyesight wasn't that bad), his hands fell off (because he could read braille), and his body fell apart, the most ridiculous part of the parody. Ah Futurama, a funny show. :
  19. Well, I'm a bit surprised that this TV show hasn't been noted yet in any threads. In fact, I've searched the Tip.It Forums and only have seen one mention of The Twilight Zone. Now, onto the the thread. The Twilight Zone; a great show with an amazingly interesting and, dare I say, shocking and new story every time compared to TV shows these days. Although its black and white, most should say it still looks great. Great actors and a great script, written by my favorite TV writer, Rod Serling. There's only one problem with this TV show and you young peoples nowadays; its he fact that this show was started a whopping 49 years ago back in 1959! But for the certain few who remember this great show and play RuneScape and use the Tip.It Forums, make your post here and talk about your favorite episodes, the show's strong points, or anything else Twilight Zone related! And even if you don't know this show, or have never watched it, you can still post about what you think this show might be about! I'd be happy to explain it to ya! :
  20. Well, first of all, the fact you said that only girls can wear them is untrue. I myself wear a plateskirt, and the barrow brothers' armors have plateskirt. Also, remember that in the very beginning prices were determined by the players. JAGeX just went with what was most popular. The reason that they were worth less is because, back then, either less males played, or less people liked plateskirts. I am against the idea that RuneScape is a sexist game, as it is obviously not one.
  21. I've made a post about what it would take for me to quit, and quite frankly, its much too melodramatic for this thread! I don't think I'll ever quit, so I'll just go for the "When runescape is shut down" choice.
  22. Penalties, randomness, and luck? Well, let me take a moment to comprehend what you're on about... Alright, so lets first talk about randomness and luck put together. Random is defined as: "Having no specific pattern, purpose, or objective" by the American Heritage Dictionary. Luck is defined as: "The chance happening of fortunate or adverse events." by the same dictionary. Notice, chance. It is defined as: "The unknown and unpredictable element in happenings that seems to have no assignable cause." Unpredictable is what I am trying to point out. Meaning, chance is something that is complete random. Random is something that has no pattern. So chance therefore, should have no pattern? But how can anything have "no specific pattern, purpose, or objective? Only one thing that is known to the public apparently, and that's atmospheric noise. The proof that the Big Bang actually occurred. Radiation that was left behind that is scattered across the universe, but most widely recognized as "white noise" or the black and white dots on your television. Now this "white noise" is supposedly natural, and therefore has the possibility to be "random". Penalties are caused by something having too much, or too little, and even things out. Think of diffusion in blood cells. When there is too much or too little water in one, they change the amount to be equal. Now if youre getting too lucky, the universe says, you are too lucky, lets give you some bad luck. Now here's the big point of this all. When a computer tries to replicate this luck-bad luck balance, it comes up with something that appears to have a pattern. Why? One, because the inner workings of a computer is programmed. It cannot change how it acts, and therefore cannot act perfectly natural. Add this all together and you get the fact that, what appears to be luck is really something artificial. My point? Humans and computers will never be able to predict how they themselves work. That disproves, but also in a way, proves your theory. Confusing? That's for you to decide. Haha, yes that too. I remember that law, although I forgot the name of the man who discovered it. This reinforces what I said that only nature can be "accurately" random (although it is a bit ironic that one must be accurate to be inaccurate).
  23. Really, when RuneScape Classic was added to Miniclip, I believe, although it did bring in many more players, brought in many under-aged players as well. I think RuneScape HD being added to Kongregete will, as with Miniclip did years before, bring in many players, but this time older, yet still immature ones. Just glimpsing at the recent comments made me think, How can anybody be as ignorant and naive to just assume that a browser based game, or a game known to be maxed out by quite a few players is stupid and harmful? Apparently, everyone and anyone who plays RuneScape is a no lifer noob who failed in the real world? And no, that is not an exaggeration, almost all the posters posted fake stories about "suicide" and "no lifers". Sad that the internet community has become like this.
  24. ROFL! Really? Dang JAGeX does have a sense of humor! My favorite examine info, being a construction nut, would be the clocks in your POH Bedroom. They actually do tell the correct time in minutes, but because they don't know what hour it is for you, it just says its "It's __:__ to Rune." Although I could see problems with people who live in New Foundland... :P
  25. Quiting RuneScape... Quiting RuneScape? Quitting RUNESCAPE?! QUITTING RUNESCAPE?!?! How could one even have this thought come into their mind without dark magicks interfering with their rational train of thought?! The mere idea of quitting RuneScape makes a chill rush through my bones. :ohnoes: But more seriously, I'm not very sure what would make me quit RuneScape. Dying in Bounty Hunter? Err, doesn't matter to me. Just a small loss, I could easily buy back most of my armor. Getting scammed? C'mon now, is that even remotely possible anymore (considering how much I pay attention to my trades and the trade update)? Losing all my friends. Well, that would definitely ruin a lot of the fun. Would it be enough to make me quit? Perhaps for a while. A few months for sure. But permanently? No, this game is just way too good to leave behind. It holds most of my online memories, and I don't ever want to leave them behind, no matter how bad they are. Just my little note! : I loves you RuneScape!! :D
