  1. Combat Level: 89 Members, 85 Non-Members Total Level: 1291 Members Cash Worth: 3M+ Items Worth:7M House Worth: 15M+ You don't really need to count my house, but hey, its something I bought so I do. :P
  2. Miniclip, oh Miniclip. The plague you have brought to this great world Gielnor... OT: A friend at the school my mom used to teach at showed me when I was in Summer Camp there. I thought it was pretty cool at the time (4 years ago) so I started playing at home. Didn't really play much until I got membership around the time Construction came out. I started seriously grinding and skilling a few months ago, so you can say I've played only for a few months. :P P.S. I was jk about the Miniclip thing btw. Don't get offended. :?
  3. Love straightforward and simple topics like this. Anyways, my house is in Rimington. I've moved it to Yannile before for teletabbing, but I started my company just as the trade limit was enforced so that idea was pretty much scrapped. I don't know if I can start again with the increased limit though, but I doubt it. Too much trouble for a little bit of money. Rimington is good for house parties and easy access for my friends. Those buddies of mine are always wanting to see how my dungeon is progressing :P .
  4. Hehe, I actually remember quite clearly what I was doing. Back when trade prices weren't designated and players decided for themselves what to buy and sell for, I would kill chickens. Mind you this was around 3 or 4 years ago when I first started so I didn't exactly have the level to go and do double nats or something of the like. I'd sell for 5-10 gp each whenever I killed a few chickens (I'm an impatient person) and felt pretty good when I sold off like, 25 feathers for a few hundred gp. I feel pretty lucky now cause compared to some other methods people used (killing men, picking up respawns), I made cash relatively quickly. :
  5. Funny how your post is properly punctuated and capitilized but your title is not. :P OT: On a personal scale, I'd say meeting 2 people at the magic trees south of Seers. They ended up as my best friends and we all hang out together still. : On a global scale, I'd say either when Construction came out (I love Construction ) or when they released RuneScape HD. High detail rocks! P.S. It's the first time I've ever used the emoticon.
  6. Well, I believe I searched for a quest guide to Plague City (still havn't finished that quest  ) a little over a year ago. I found Zybez first so I used that. Then after seeing Tip.It pop up a few times every time I searched something RuneScape related, I finally decided to join the Tip.It forums as I just couldn't understand the RSC forums. I don't regret my decision cause the Tip.It forums rock! :
  7. Well I don't think its as common as you say, because I've only met one person who's really a guy when he played as a girl. I asked him why, and he responded because he wanted free stuff. Really I think that's quite a lame reason, just changing your gender to get an advantage in a game. But, it really is their choice so let them do what they want.
  8. BAAHHAHHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!! BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAA! AHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAA!!! Too funny man, too funny. OT: Although I do agree on the fact that not many people would do RuneScape skills on a regular basis (lighting thousands of logs on fire and building a room in 2 seconds?), my skills would be Construction, crafting (even if my crafting level is only a pewny 53 ), and maybe cooking and firemaking. Construction because I always liked poking around with wood and nails and sawing things in half :P . Crafting because it goes hand in hand with Construction. It invloves making things with raw materials, and who wouldn't want the ability to craft diamonds with a little chisel and no hammer? Cooking and firemaking (although both of them are low level skills :( ) because when you cook, you make something you can actually eat, and firemaking because I love to light stuff on fire! P.S I would say Woodcutting, but really. Who can find a Magic Tree to cut in real life, make an axe out of a dragon's behind, and cut down a tree without even touching it?
  9. If you actually READ what I WROTE originally you would've seen that I INCLUDED the use of EATING to HIT HIGHER with DHAROKS in my ORIGINAL POST!! Please READ what I FREAKIN' WRITE before you make some SMART ALECK comment on what you mistakenly THOUGHT I made a MISTAKE ON!!! Now... Have a nice day.
  10. Haha, I'm completely like you. I'm always too lazy to recharge my prayer at an altar! But I did use to use prayers to stay longer. Then I found recharging my prayers too much of a hassle, and rather dangerous if a random monster pops up and hits you.
  11. No, I'm sure you can because I saw a few people eating them for jokes on the PC boat. Plus, how would you use it to train with Dharoks if you had to stockpile thousands before you did the quest?
  12. Amazing, AMAZING guide! 10^100/10 all the way! Great job writing the enormous amount of text in your guide. Being an avid woodcutter, I knew most of the things in the guide (although I didn't know about the Adze incenerating your logs!), but I still read those parts just cause you write in such an awesome way. Btw, the way you said it randomly incenerates made me laugh. You have a hilarious sense of humor! Oh, and pictures arn't really that needed, I mean, the text alone is is awesome, but pictures would brighten up your guide a bit. : Again, great guide to woodcutting. Thanks for letting the masses know what I tried telling them, chop TEAKS, not WILLOWS! EDIT: And going from level 60 to level 82 on yews only, and level 82 to 92 on mages only, I can confirm that you do not want to be training with those two logs.
  13. Uber awesome! Who cares if 8M isn't much, you were still super lucky. :P Oh, and it was such a dramatic read. I was literally clutching my chair in suspense hearing how you were down to 33 hp and that the boss could hit 35's with his range attack! :ohnoes:
  14. F you! Lol jk. OT: I think of my friends, mostly my very best ones and my clan mates at the Brotherhood of Steel. :
  15. Attack: Stab: +0 Slash: +0 Crush: +0 Magic: +0 Defense: Range: +0 Stab: +39 Slash: +41 Crush: +50 Magic: +1 Range: +45 Summon: 40 Attack: Stab: +0 Slash: +0 Crush: +0 Magic: -8 Range: -2 Defense: Stab: +44 Slash: +48 Crush: +46 Magic: -1 Range: +46 Summon: 40 The first one's the normal Spirit Shield and the second is the Rune Kite. The losses in stats for the spirit shield cant be compensated for easily with an ammy or bracelet, while the Rune Kite's losses can. However, the spirit shield would allow for more powerful attacks with magic or ranged, mage especially, so I guess that makes the Spirit Shield useful.
  16. Nitroglycerin is the Dig Site explosive you were thinking about, Cnut21. It damages you 25 every time you drop the vial I believe. Although it does have a use to it. Since Dharok's special is to hit harder the lower your hp is, people use it to lower their hp at an exact amount so that they don't randomly die. Another one is rock cake, it hits 3 or 2 every time you eat one and it can be stolen from the stalls in the Gu'Tanoth (Ogre City) market place. It has also been used for more efficient Dharoks training.
  17. Err, Wall-E. Just watched it and it was awesome.
  18. Source: http://news.runescape.com/newsitem.ws?id=1370 Not really. Unless you can predict the future and know the defination of impressiveness. How do Jagex define impressiveness, is still unknown to us. Don't jump to conculsion so fast. They mean; if you kill someone in 2 seconds by a Dagger spec that's unskillfull and not impressive so you probably won't get a drop at all, however, if you change your armour and use different styles of fighting and your combat time (time fighting) is quite long then you'd be granted more of a drop. At least, that's my prospectus on it. Or perhaps they mean the speed at which to can kill your opponent, the quicker the better? I mean, if you can kill a person the same level as you in 2 dds specials, that's hard, and if you can kill someone higher leveled than you in 2 spec, that would be even harder. I think it would depend on the speed and level of the person you kill.
  19. Hmm, that is a good point Paw Claw. I've just never needed to use more than the 3 portals I currently have and the teleports the my glory ammy cover. For him I guess I could edit out a useless room and add in an extra portal room if ya wish. EDIT: Here's a new house plan. It includes the second portal room, but it can be placed farther away from the functional rooms as when training, you only need one portal to use. It'll be up to you which one it is that you do use. 20. Hmm, you really need to put Construction in the title or something. Makes it easier for me to find! :P Anyways, about your house layout. It wastes quite a bit of room space, 27 rooms in all. That'll be a hell of a build once you reach level 70, when you can build a dungeon. At level 74 you can only build 25 rooms, so you'd have to level to 86 before you could complete your house, while you could've started a dungeon 16 levels before! Now about the layout you have planned. The fact that you've separated your house with the QH and SH means that you need to duplicate everything you have. I'd recommend placing all staircases towards the end of your main house. This'll allow for a more efficient house and a smoother look. You've also planned the portals on the second floor. I highly recommend against building portal chambers on anything except the ground or underground floors. This allows for quicker access and more efficient use. You've also separated your portal and house by quite a bit, I'd recommend placing your portal towards the center of your house because with the current dimention limitations, having your house completely in one direction isn't possible. The throne room is placed a bit too far away from the house, but of course, thats because you probably wont reach 60 construction all that quickly, so you'd want to top out your house with a throne room. I'd say leave a space for it near the center or near the entrance of the house to allow for more visitors to stream there and for an easier access to your dungeon. Other than that, you would definitely want to cut down on the space taken up by the excess rooms as I noted before. To give you a suggestion, go to the RuneHQ HousePlanner and enter this code: TENDMVTOFDRUTTGDUVTXHUASEETUEREJUEMVUMEEQQUQDEUWUVIkUOVEPFMUVMMFQMVQIlQKVUJlUJGMXXNLXQRXVL It includes a dunegon plan and uses all of the rooms in a neat and accesable way. I'll also work on a new plan for you in the meantime. If you have any more questions, PM me. I'll be happy to answer! : EDIT: I've finished your house plan. It seems to be perfect in my eyes :P . Here's the code: DMVTOJjMMDRUTTFjQIDVUTXHDYVTYLEMWUMDEQXUQNkQOEVUUVQEYVUYREcTUcSVMMlMJVQGlQIVUPFYUVYLGYVHYL
  21. I'll answer your latest question first. Technically no you don't need to be in your own house to build furniture, as you can always build flatpacks in a friend's house. But, to furnish your own house you need to be in building mode. As for your questions about the gilded altar and such, yes, you only need a construction level 75 to build a gilded altar. However to save money, you could complete the Evil Dave miniquest and/or the Eyes of Glouphrie to obtain a stacked +9 construction bonus. If not, tea alone can give a bonus of +3 at level 69 and +2 at anything lower. About the training method you were asking for, I'd recommend you build oak larders with only oak planks atm. The xp per oak plank is the same for nearly every type of oak furniture, so you'd be looking for something uses the planks the quickest, and that, at your level, would be oak larders. You'll use 16 oak planks to build 2 oak larders, so I'd recommend hiring a cook from the Servants' Guild in north eastern East Ardougne. She'll bring you 16 oak planks in the time you can build 2 oak larders with time to spare, so that would be the quickest method. Just enter building mode, get the cook to go the bank, and when she comes back the first time, send her out again without building anything. Now rush to building the 2 oak larders and when you're done, in several moments the cook will arrive with planks. Send her out again and build 2 more oak larders. Repeat until you've reached the level to build gilded altars. If you have any more questions about Construction or POH related stuff, you can just PM me. Good luck and have fun constructing! :
  22. 38 HP per minute? Think of what you could achieve with that stacked up with Guthans. Although it is random, I could see something more than 40 HP per minute. That's amazing. Although the price of having everything negates the usefullness, its still a crazy find.
  23. Archeaology and Sailing would both be completely new skills in RuneScape; not similar to any of the current skills. I'll write a bit about what I think about the two skills. Sailing might be waved away by JAGeX just like the suggestion for horses was. Hopefully it wont be, and we might end up with a skill where you can build and buy your own ship and explore new locations (not just blow thousands of gold pieces on buying boats and such). I think it'd be fun because it could also open up a new minigame, where like in the post SerpentEye wrote before, you could hold clan ship wars. Sailing definitely has potential as a new skill in RuneScape. Archeaology definitely would be fun, giving a bit more use to the Dig Site. It might have a quest where you start the skill off that involes the Dig Site and gives a few starting levels. As for what you could do, that'd be up to JAGeX, but there's a pretty good idea of what it might involve in the Archeaology Suggestion thread. I think this might come first as for what JAGeX makes a part of the game.
  24. If you arn't too lazy and would love to do some fletching and crafting work, you can take the yew longbows on. First, you'd want to buy 1k or so flax. Spin this wherever there is a spindle near a bank. You'll end up with 1k bowstrings. Next, you want to buy 1k or so yew logs. You'll need 70 fletching for this. Fletch the yew logs and then string them with your bowstrings. Next, you can buy nature runes and begin alching. This'll take a while, but I believe you can still make a profit, if you do things the way I said to and buy your items from the Grand Exchange.
  25. Haha! Good to see I'm not alone. :P RuneScape Shorthand FTW!! Lawl, roffal, lamoa, and roffalafamoa will rule the world!
