  1. Well, as others have said, here's a big WELCOME TO TIP.IT AND RUNESCAPE! I'm sure you'll be enjoying your time here. Clan recruitment is done either ingame or on the RuneScape Official Forums. You'll need a members account to post on the RSOF, but you can still read and search for the posts without membership. You should find a subforum called "Clan Recruitment". Surf the threads until you find a suitable clan for you. You might notice that after the clan name, there'll be a number and a plus symbol like "100+". That means you have to be level 100 or higher in combat to be accepted. Generally when you first start, you'd want to train your skills before joining a clan; mostly because the events that a clan engages in requires somewhat of a high skill level. For friends, you could join the clan chats of a RuneScape fansites like Tip.It (Forsakenmage, Draynor Chat) or of ingame communities (Chill Chat, Omg). Check the RuneScape knowledge base about information for how to use the ingame interfaces and clan chat. For help about starting out in RuneScape, check out Tip.It's Beginner's Guide. It'll give you a lot of tips and pointers on what to do, train, and how to do those things in RuneScape. If you have any questions, just PM me on the forums or join my clan chat. Hope you enjoy the game!
  2. +9999999  The removal of pking wasn't because of autoers. Autoers cant even pk! If you removed pking and not skills, no way to transfer that money made my skills. If they removed skills instead of pking, sure you couldn't make money at all anymore but you could transfer it. Really, that would make the game stuck in the same state forever, whilst the first method would keep the game moving on even with its inhibitions.
  3. I'd usually say something as big as PvP worlds should be P2P, but in this case, I say DEFINITELY F2P! It will be an ENOURMOUS aspect of the game and PvP in it. I'd say that Duel Arena and BH should never have been given to F2P, but PvP worlds are definitely deserved. It'd be a somewhat fair trade off too... But meh, F2P don't have much anyways, might as well give them all forms of PvP!
  4. The only time I call someone a noob is for a joke. I just tell somebody to go away if they're bothering me...
  5. Lmao. Rock lobsters are for crimsons, dark beasts are like 29 levels away for him, and fire giants drop crimson charms very uncommonly they mostly drop gold. :? Sorry, mixed them up. Lemme correct that, rock lobsters for crimsons and fire giants for gold...
  6. Rock lobbies for reds, dark beasts for blues (and the occasional dark bow). Golds can be done at fire giants, getting a few high price drops in the process. Here's what I know about those methods: Rock lobbies should best be ice bursted for maximum kills. They have high melee and ranged defense, so magic is the best option. They drop crimsons quite frequently and you'll get quite a bit killing several at a time. Dark beasts shouldn't be ranged with under 90 ranged, so you should use protect from prayer and melee them. But then again, it requires 90 slayer which you are still quite far away from, so this wont be an option. If you ever do reach the requirements for this beast, it'd be best to kill these for blue charms. Fire giants can be done at your ranged level, so no worry about that. Go to Brimhaven if you wish to melee with guthans and dragon, and Baxtorian Falls if you wish to safespot them with ranged or mage. They have great drops and drop golds and a crimsons every once in a while.
  7. The profit per teaks is a bit off. Let's do some math to find a more accurate answer... Trading sticks have went from 8 to 5gp and now up to 6. 20 for using the parcel service and the teak trees. That's 120 gp for each run, and you make 28*86~88 gp every run. That's aproximately 2408 for selling at minimum price. The total profit per inventory would be aproximately 2280 gp, divide that by 28 and you get a bit over 81. About yews and magic trees, he's absolutely correct. The XP is slow compared to teaks, although yews can almost match the xp per hour rate for willows. Magic logs max at 150k per hour with 99 woodcutting and a dragon axe. With current prices, you'll need to cut a full load in less than 20 minutes.
  8. About the green dragon thingy, wrong. The Chaos Tunnels (if you find a good world) can only have 1 person or none at all. You can use prayer instead of food along with a familiar to last longer. The prayer'll keep the baby black dragons from damaging you too! But I can tell you're tired of green dragons, so I'll talk about something else. Yup, pure essence mining can get you a bit of mining XP along with 150k or so cash per hour. That's the max that woodcutting can get by chopping magics, so even though it cant be AFK'd for that long, it would make faster money. Fishing barely goes any faster than woodcutting, and requires a higher level and a quest, but if you do have the requirements, you should definitely try for monkfish or sharks. Some find it faster than woodcutting and easier because you dont have to fight for trees and you can talk with a bunch of people, but others find it slow and banking a pain.
  9. Teaks are faster by quite a bit. Yews could almost catch up with willows, and think how much more profitable yews are... You should get the inferno adze, a few thousand trading sticks, and go to mainland Karamaja. Use the parcel service and teak trees for 10 trading sticks each, and go for longer inventories with a BoB or use the inferno adze to incenerate a few logs for firemaking xp. Bank with the parcel service like I said before, and you'll make more than you'll spend on trading sticks. Another method is getting a burner to help burn your logs. With the trade margin increase, you'll be able to burn quite a few inventories as long as you have over 150 or so quest points.
  10. Well, you know those new micro-keyboards that you use? 5 keys controlled by your fingers and used in certain combinations to create letters, words, and numbers. Small and slow, but at least it works. Same with quickchat. It's definitely requires less key strokes, it just takes time to learn. When one switches from a normal QWERTY keyboard to a Colemak or Dvarock (don't btw, Colemak first always) you need to learn how to use the new keys. Once you do, they are much more efficient to use. Don't bother using quickchat if you cant use it though, there is always still the normal chat to use! And yes, it is really quick. No sarcasm either. There's no better way to prove I really do have 93 woodcutting and 80 construction. :P
  11. [/hide]There are way more fun things to do than walking around : Well, when RuneScape HD Beta came out, I think I walked around for a few hours... :P Lol jk, but sometimes you should appreciate your surroudings ya know? I mean, JAGeX coulda just made all the pathways to cities and minigames voids and you would teleport instantly, but they didn't. Sooo, appreciate it! :ugeek:

    RSI

Hehe, too true. Probably 'cause I got my info from there! ;) I really have no idea about RSI. I just read and summarize. :ugeek:
  13. A skill on its own? How 'bout a new part of Construction like those other guys said. Well, it could be used in the new PVP worlds, true. You could hold a city by blockading the main entrances and using the small doors and sewers to escape (just like CastleWars!). For example Varrock. Cover the Eastern, Western, and Southern entrances with people watching the smaller northern entrance. This'll make it easy for you to escape while it's hard for your enemy to attack! I can see some potential in this... Plus, it'd give me a way to make money with Construction, lol. EDIT: Hmm, seeing as some people don't support because of the possible abuse of the skill, perhaps JAGeX could limit the use of warding to the extent that people couldn't take away useful respawns and NPC's but still be able to defend an area in your own unique way. They could make it so you could only block entrances and limit the amount of blockades used, and then restrict blocking respawn points (Cammy, Fally, Lumby) and banks.
  14. Ooo, I give my full support. The HP bar is the only thing that hasn't changed at all over the years, so it needs to work on. :P Some suggestions of mine are instead of having the bar turn green and red if under 20% HP, it should flash bright green and normal green so you can still see how much HP you have left. Also, you shouldn't have to click the HP bar but rather click the big HP icon above the run option next to the minimap and log out button. Again, great idea!
  15. It spells FAILURE in numbers. -.- FAILURE I TELL YOU!!

    RSI

I'll assume you're talking about Repetitive Strain Injury or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It's not too common amongst computer users, but seeing you're going for 99 firemaking, well... You'd best completely or partialy cessitate your hand and arm from using the computer/typing for a few hours. You should get rest and like I said before, not use the computer at all for serveral hours. You can try buying some ibuprofen to keep the swelling at minimum if there is any, or buying a new ergonomic keyboard or mouse to help you stay away from RSI in the future. RSI or Repetitive Strain Injury is a form of musculoskeletal disorder that effects one's muscles, tendons, and nerves. It's usually caused by keeping your body in a tense and stressed position for a prolonged amount of time. An example is firemaking, as you must click nearly non-stop. Guitarists, assembly-line workers, and computer-users are all victims of RSI. I expained how to treat a minor outbreak above. For more severe cases, you should best contact your doctor about RSI treatment and therapy.
  17. Ooo, this took some thought... Rare: Construction Skillcape :P (smart aleck response, I know) Expensive: AGS or the AGS
  18. On both my desktop and laptop I use HD with maxed out settings. Recently I've been using an older laptop, so I couldn't use HD and have used the traditional high detail. The HD looks amazing on a Fujitsu screen.
  19. Huh, I guess a lot of you are really rushed and busy guys who just need to turn on run the moment you log on. I have a habit to press ctrl and click to save energy though, so I never have to do that! : I guess I'll add an option. Really, is the world in such a hurry these days?
  20. Hmm, that is rather bad to do; you should feel bad! :x But at least he gots a lot of junk now incase he needs to sell a rare or something... For me, I think the most "scummy" thing I've done is not telling my friend when the Halloween event of '06 was. And yes, I did it on purpose. I feel bad now 'cause he'll never be able to get that pumpkin head and skeleton suit again...
  21. -.- ... If you looked towards the bottom of the screen, it'd show that you're not allowed to bring maple logs into the arena. He isn't burning anything else because it would be listed too. Pay attention before posting... Anyways, I give you a 9.3/10. Uber awesome mate! When you get 99 it'll be a 10/10! :
  22. :!: Whoa! Nice mate! Definitely not an easy achievement! 10/10 all the way! Oh and uh, America = England = Australia ;)
  23. Always Thieving, although I used to use it for other low leveled skills. Thieving frustrates me...
  24. Most rewarding would be the maze. It gives so much awesome stuff! : The least would be Mime. 500gp in 2 minutes? Not worth it...
  25. Prayer is definitely worth the cash spent to level it. With piety, protection prayers, and retribution and redemption, you'll gain a huge adventage in pking, training, and other forms of combat. As for you training prayer, I recommend you first get the skills needed to utilize prayer properly before leveling it. I cant see a level 10 fighting black demons with protect from melee on. Just for fun, 200k'll get you 50k xp which'll get you to somewhere in the 40's. You'll need a few hundred more k to get the protection prayers.
