Wow. "Got raped? Deal with it, life sucks." People like this make me speechless. I'm sorry if you didn't know that "life" for alot of people is actually struggle. Do they decide to give up on it and kill it? Do people that midway gain permanant disabilities decide to just commit suicide? No they don't, many realise how much harder someone else has it and learn to deal with it and continue living. You can't choose the cards you are dealt, but it's your job to make the best out of that hand. Imo no matter who you are, you don't have the right to judge whether someone else should live or die, even if it's your child. So you're implying, that even if keeping the child would kill you, you would be morally obliged to keep the child? How would keeping a child kill you...? I mean if in some situation it was either you or the child, you may naturally have to choose yourself for survival grounds, as you wouldn't really have a choice in losing a life. The sensitivity of OT yet again comes across like a brick. Keeping a child could kill you if either you or the foetus has a medical problem. There are cases where you might die if you don't terminate a foetus. I'm trying to not get dragged into this debate, again, there's a point where it just gets boring :P
  2. Yeah, but you can attribute the National Debt to the government, they spent it. And I'm ignoring the bank bailouts with that (since they'll probably be repaid), it's the massive spending on public services which is worse. I'm very surprised Labour elected a man who won't be elected Prime Minister but maybe they want to go back to being the party for the trade unions. Either way I hope he does well, but David would have seemed the much more natural choice to me. You're right that they did waste money, but every Government does. And I think they want to get off the New Labour trip and take it back to their more fundamental principles because a lot of traditionally Labour supporters just see New Labour as a synonym for Conservative.
  3. 'Stupid projects' is subjective. And not ALL our debt came from that, the failure and subsequent bailout of the banks was a global problem.
  4. I hated the times that were before this, for similar reasons. But I guess TETAU is for Australians, not just as secondary TET events. I'm hoping the new TETAU times will mean I can make it, but it's very possible I'll be lying in on Saturdays :P
  5. I don't think we're doing that badly buddy. Say that to our figure of national debt + deficit The situation is a GLOBAL crisis, you can't attribute everything to our Government. The entire world messed up.

Grandparents argue just like normal parents do. My grandparents are great, they've never been grumpy or nasty at all.
  7. I fail to see what you mean? There's only ONE thread about UK politics right now. And if you don't care, or want to understand, then don't come in.
  8. Now that this is over, I hope that Labour can get back on track and start the long task of taking back the country from the Tories
  9. I'm one of these poor kids on the bus, trying to get through the education system when there's only enough money in the bank to get me there in the first place. I always have been. (Though I'm not the sort of idiot you talk about, an idiot is an idiot whether they're rich or poor). My parents have accepted that they're not going to be in a position where they can really afford very much, they want more but debts and the entire world just stop them. I'm just starting University, the money for my fees and grants are all coming from the Government. If they didn't provide this, I would probably be in a dead end job now. I'd be doomed to Council houses forever. But, I have a chance. I do aspire to be more, I'm determined that being in a life of poverty isn't going to be my future. University is my chance for this. I'll be in debt when I come out, but I'm just hoping that I'll get a job that allows me to pay it off. I don't want to be poor, but there's a big chance that I might end up that way - just because of where I've come from.
  10. Media Player Classic - http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/ Small and useful Media Player, runs almost all file types as well as DVDs and DVD folders. Screenshot Captor - http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/screenshotcaptor/ Screenshot software. Avast! - http://www.avast.com/en-gb/index Better than AVG anti-virus :P Notetab Light - http://www.notetab.com/ Text editor with many useful coding features. Nice list you've got here :)
  11. We do actually have a technology forum here. Which is where I'm moving the thread to. The forum isn't just for tech help, which is a common misconception, it's for all technology discussion :) And my opinion on this matter is just... Lol internet explorer.
  12. I prefer to take it gradually. C1 small rushes till about 15, C6 mediums until 25 then 25+ large 5:5. I guess I just think doing solo meds are more entertaining than C1 rushes. I've also heard, though, that a top Dungeoneerer has suggested C6 5:5 larges for all floors to just max out the xp you can get per reset.
  13. I'm not anti-efficiency, just (as Golvellius said then) anti-elitist, which tends to come with efficiency (not always). I'm starting a course on Computer Science.
  14. and people who don't use efficiency call us idiots for "not having fun" or "being elitist" I really don't see the point of what you're arguing. Didn't I just say that it CAN be fun? Don't argue in circles. An idiot is an idiot, no matter if they're anti or pro efficiency. It's not the stance they have, they're just an idiot already.
  15. Won't miss you :] To contribute to the thread, and echo what logical people with half a brain cell thought; Efficiency -is- fun. Don't act like it is endless calculations of gaining an extra 0.5k xp/h. Of course it might be fun - just not for everyone. The problem isn't efficiency, it's people using efficiency to call other people noobs and idiots just because they play differently.
  16. We already have an irc chat. You can find it here.
  17. I have actually said MULTIPLE times already that if you find being efficient to be fun, then great. But don't push it on other people. *Cough* No one is...Unless they ASK. Why give BAD advice in H&A when you can give GOOD advice. If you want to give advice about what you find fun, make sure you SAY SO. People making wild claims that CLS>CR when slaying, when WE'VE PROVEN OTHERWISE are going to get lambasted, and proven wrong. Same for moneymaking methods, etc. That's fine, but it's in game when you're using a certain method and you're called a noob because you're not using the most efficient. Many members here have given examples. If you're ASKING for help that's fine, I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about general gameplay. And don't try to pretend that Efficiency isn't forced on people, I'd go through this thread picking out quotes but it's late and I'm tired.
  18. I have actually said MULTIPLE times already that if you find being efficient to be fun, then great. But don't push it on other people.
  19. Or they just have fun a way that you don't?
  20. >_< I was trying to tell you that your definition of total efficiency is incorrect. Your definition of total efficiency is everybody going after certain resources like frost dragon bones. I was saying, that that would in fact, be less efficient, and most definitely not be "total efficiency" I suppose that's correct, the number of people going for something would make it inefficient, moving people to other methods... I will concede that. But I don't think on the whole that a really efficient Runescape would be good. It's not a job, or a company, the main point is that you HAVE fun. Whether that means playing Castle Wars or killing frost dragons... as long as it's what you want to do then I'm behind it 100%.

I agree. It's a shame you don't see FoP around much any more :(
  22. Tbh I'm not sure why we're debating about a 'perfectly efficient world' because there won't ever be one :P Efficiency does benefit the economy BUT total efficiency wouldn't imo.
  23. Racheya replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
    <3: you Rach. <3: It's ace.
  24. There is no such thing as a top end of efficiency Racheya, not as you speak of it at least. A machine can be 100% efficient, sure. but there's no such thing as individuals reaching peak efficiency when speaking of a group. You're thinking of things too shallowly. I mean that, as players progress through different efficient methods their levels increase to the point where they're left with the highest level say... monster, which is efficient to kill. Players will reach this point a LOT faster in a totally efficient world.
