Scientology? Scam? Cult? Religion? Joke?
Is that to say there are other sects of scientology? Usually cults are minorities, but if the majority of scientology is a cult, then I'd say scientology is a cult. There are groups, such as the Free Zone, which practice Scientology outside of the Church/cult. However these are obviously shunned by the Church organisation.

Tip.It times - 3rd October 2010
Racheya told me that she didn't make it in response to Michael's thread. then she is lying or completely unaware of her subconscious go read her posts in that thread I took inspiration from the thread, seeing as there's a complete lack of interesting updates the last few weeks. But I didn't write it in direct response to the thread because that would just be silly. I took inspiration from the thread as well as imputing my own experience on the issue.

I guess they play a part in that they're invalid strawman arguments, sure. Think about this for a minute. Now take out "extremely efficient" and replace it with any adjective. However the thing that IS wrong is when these older players start to call people noobs. However the thing that IS wrong is when these younger players start to call people noobs. However the thing that IS wrong is when these high-level players start to call people noobs. However the thing that IS wrong is when these casual players start to call people noobs. Notice how the meaning doesn't change? Treating people rudely is wrong whether you're efficient or not. By singling out efficient players for rudeness, you're saying that as a group, efficient players are more rude than non-efficient players, and quite frankly I find that offensive. And no, it doesn't help that you said later on that inefficient players can be rude too. That's like saying "I don't want to sound racist, but there's way too many Mexicans in this neighborhood." If you don't want to suggest that it's just the "pro-efficiency players" who are rude, don't suggest it. :shame: I'm just pointing out that a lot of pro-efficiency players say it's just people that play efficiently that call names. So I felt it was an important point to make, that both sides of the debate can be charged of this. I actually feel a lot more harshly towards pro-efficiency players that call names since it often seems very stereotypical. They may get all upset at being called a noob, but throw around 'no lifer' themselves.

1st October, 2010: Behind the Scenes - October
I would like to see a grandmaster quest with 80+ skill requirements, but no 'boss fight' or anything so combat centric. Apparently it's okay to need high combat stats, but not okay to need high skill stats. <_<

1st October, 2010: Behind the Scenes - October
I don't think he's online atm, he usually gets updates as long as they're after 2/3 :P And it all sounds rather interesting, but nothing particularly meaty that I can get my teeth into. I've not done the quests so that's not much for me, but I guess the Make X changes will be good :)

What other fansites do you commonly use? And how can tip.it expand itself to compete?
I use Tip.It mostly, but if I'm honest I do check the RS Wikia for random things, like checking facts when writing a Times article. The random trivia on each item, quest, update, is also interesting too :P I also use their calculators for gp per xp ect. But I do think Tip.it is a stronger site in general.

I'm considering buying the whole Star Trek Voyager series on DVD soon-ish. It's £90 for all of it, but when I get my NUS card I get a 10% discount at Amazon, and I have a £6 voucher for it as well, so I can reduce the cost to £75, which I suppose is kind of reasonable :D I guess it's just the idea of spending that much at once on it, that worries me. I'm not used to doing stuff like that :P

Blu-Ray and you
dear god, where the hell do you store 7 season's of VHS? : o Good question. I say 'nearly' because I had all but 2 episodes, but I seem to have a lot less since I started lending my brother tapes and one of them broke... but the answer is in a cupboard, all stacked up :P Seeing as there was 2 episodes to a tape.... buuuut, I got a lot of episodes on recorded VCR. I used to record them off Sky when they were on, and on Super Long Play you could fit 10 episodes on a tape. To be honest, though, when I have the chance I'm gonna buy it up on DVD :P Just to save a HELL of a lot of space.

Blu-Ray and you
I never buy blu-ray. I don't have anything to play it on, nor a HD tv... I don't see myself getting either in the future so... *shrugs* Hell, I still have almost the entire Star Trek: Voyager series on VCR! And watch it regularly!

Scientology? Scam? Cult? Religion? Joke?
I watched it too. Nothing new for those well educated on the cult, yes I call it a cult not a religion, but still interesting to watch. I really encourage people who don't know much about Scientology to find out online. Not from THEIR website, but sites like xenu.net and whyweprotest.net that know the truth.

I can't stand schools.
School has always been crap for me. Crap schools. Crap kids. Just... crap. I've breezed through things doing the minimum and never revising. Getting A's and A*'s at GCSE with no revision. I listened in class sometimes. I fell asleep in class sometimes. School will always be memorable, but what I actually learned won't be. I don't remember very much about what I learned, I remember far more about the actual teachers that I liked, the places I used to hang around and the people I knew - be they friend or foe. But if you take a bunch of kids like the sort that went to my crap school, you're NOT going to get very far with them. You can try and engage but there's so many other factors than just being a good teacher or having a good schooling system. In my opinion, it's just something that you go through. You get through school and hope that you reach the other end relatively intact.

Not too bad :D Faster than my internet anyway. Speaking of internet, TalkTalk (my ISP) are on Watchdog tonight for their bad customer service. Which is rather true. I was having problems with my router and I rang them up. I got an indian on the line who said his name was 'Shadrack'... I was both confused and amused :P He was useless anyway. I just took the speedtest here at Uni: I wonder if my computer rooms are faster, this is the library computers where anyone can go. I need to bring my laptop in next, really, so that I can browse on my own laptop without waiting for about 15 mins to log in >.< Oh well, at least they have Firefox so I'm not stuck with IE!

Ed Miliband is the new Labour Party leader.
I wish I was at home, I have loads of funny David pictures saved :( He did a question session on TheStudentRoom not long ago (big Uni student forum) and he seemed nice. I can imagine how horrible it must be for him, but he must have known that this may have been the outcome of fighting with his brother. I'm sure he was prepared for losing, just... not really expecting it. It'll be interesting to see if he steps out of politics. If he stays I can see it becoming very awkward and the newspapers would get to have a nice field day every time Ed & David disagreed. They'd spew more nonsense about how their brotherly love is stopping real politics blah blah blah... And you can't blame Labour for all of the problems. Sure, they weren't perfect, but it was a GLOBAL recession and I think that Gordon Brown took strong and correct steps to rectifying things. Though I do think he could have thought of cutting down on public spending a bit more.

Smithing or Herblore?
Smithing, I'd say. The rewards are more tangible and if you Dungeoneer then it's great for making your own armour.

Ed Miliband is the new Labour Party leader.
Well we know that Lib Dems won't get another chance for a shot at the seat, that's for sure. Not with Nick 'The traitor' Clegg. And the Conservatives will be blamed for a lot of crap for the next 4 years. Job cuts, higher taxes... I don't think the country is going to be a fan of them. Tbh, I found that people didn't *want* Conservatives, they just *didn't* want Brown. And, with Brown gone, and a shiny new leader - Labour have a chance.
